I Will Remember You

I have been routinely checking what is going on at Free Dove… I got some inside intel that the store will remain up “about another month” until it poofs. However, I suggest you go as soon as possible because you never know when it will be formally taken down, and they have some brand new gifts out at Free Dove since I last posted about the freebie outlet. Just join the Free Dove group for free to get the gifts. I just had to share these two gifts because they are stunning…

• E.D.D.A. has set out a brand new gift for us in their designer booth. The gift is a fancy top & plaid skirt in green, perfect for the month of March. The set fits Legacy, Reborn, Kupra, Isis, Freya and Lara.
• Spells & Charms to Go has set out a new free gift which you can grab near the front of the store near where Tastic has the memorial tops set out, which Aline previously blogged right here. This new gift is a beautiful necklace dedicated to remembering Free Dove. The necklace comes in gold and silver and it’s a must-have for your inventory.

I am still sad to see this place go, but what a wonderful way to remember the amazing contributions Free Dove made to Second Life in the last 17 years.

There’s a really cool event on right now called Alpha. It’s organized by the same folks that run the Access event. They are having their first year anniversary, which means lots of gifts. Most of the gifts are for men, but they also have some unisex items. I always do Mens’ events when they have free gifts on offer because I find nifty little things for women and lots of decor at these types of events. The anniversary round of the Alpha Event ends on March 17th. You need to join the free Access Updates group to get all the gifts here. Please note that this event is a MUST visit for any men out there, as the gifts for guys look very high quality and fantastic. Rest in Peace, My Baby Boy

Ok FabFree… this post is about to get emotional. In this post, I will be talking about loss and grief so be prepared for that before reading.  Last month, I lost my beloved furbaby in real life. It was heartbreaking for me, as I had an incredibly special and close bond with my cat. It really broke me in half, but I have been working through my grief.  Apparently, there have been a lot of people in SL lately who have lost their cats and other pets in recent times. For those of you out there who may be going through this, just know you are not alone. I will never forget him as long as I live in both worlds and I will love him until the day I die.

Little Angels

The incredible creator Dalriada Delwood of MOoH! created a set of  “ghost” kitties for those of us who have lost our cats. I thought it was so beautiful that MOoH! came out with these, as it is a lovely little reminder of my beloved little guy who I can carry with me around SL. There are a variety of types of cats available in this set. At Next Up, you can play to win an angelic cat in different colourings and breeds for only 50L per play. Just wait for the cat you want to pop up and it’s yours for a low price.

This Next Up set was made for all of us who lost our furbabies. I always feel so touched and warm when creators make things like this for us. My pretty skin is the latest free group gift at MILA. It includes a Lelutka EvoX BOM skin in 2 tones, one light and one dark. The package includes matching ears skins and an eyebrow shape is also included. This is a no-brow skin, so I just added some brows using the Lelutka EvoX hud. The skin for the body is included, so no purchase is necessary to achieve this full look. It also includes a shape made for Lelutka Kaya and Legacy as well, but I am not currently wearing it. It is quite an amazing freebie if I do say so myself!
