Fall stretches on, and I for one, am not willing quite yet to see it swept away with all the leaves. We seem to rush from holiday to holiday nowadays, barely getting past Halloween before suddenly it’s all about tinsel and Christmas trees. I’m still enjoying the season of golden sunsets and crunching leaves, and I hope you will take a moment as well to take a deep breath and live in the now too.

The fall season is coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean I can’t show all things spooky and witchy on the blog. In fact, when I was a FabFree reader, I loved when Pru showed us all of her amazing witchy outfits throughout the year. They were deffinitely an inspiration for me. It’s Not Easy Being Green
Following the end of Halloween at the beggining of November, I was roaming around the grid in this gorgeous green witch skin. Feeling a bit forlorn that the Halloween season was over and designing my costume for next year, I went shopping and exploring in my new green look. I thought I looked cute but you wouldn’t believe the mean comments I got from people about my bright green skin! I guess it’s just not easy being green.
The skin in question is a free gift at Wyrd and despite the bullies out there, it’s an absolutely gorgeous fantasy witch skin. It’s called “Hexed” and you can grab it in-world if you join the free group at Wyrd. It’s also available on the Marketplace for free.

Another Hunt Down
Third on today’s list are the last goodies I have to share with you all on the FabFree Fallen Leaves & Frost Hunt. The prizes shown in my witchy scene this afternoon are:
The dark blue horns, which are decorated with sunflowers and autumn leaves, are a prize at +Inner Mantra+ and they cost 5 Linden.
The frosty-toned blue lipstick I am currently wearing is another hunt prize at +Inner Mantra+, and it costs 5 linden. It comes as a BOM layer.
The wall piece with mirrors, greenery, and lights is a decor prize from +Inner Mantra+ that costs 5 Linden.
The witch’s cabinet with melting candles is the last prize from +Inner Mantra+ and you can own this pretty and witchy furniture item for only 5 Linden.
Finally, my adorable shoes are another hunt prize from Mosquito’s Way. These are the “Marylou” boots and they are free on the hunt.

This scene has some serious Nightmare Before Christmas vibes, with its references to the work of the artist and filmaker Tim Burton. I put my own spin on his creations though, by inserting myself in my “Vimperella” costume. I even invited Zero (the ghost dog featured in the Nightmare Before Christmas) along for the photoshoot. Yeah, I’m still not really over Halloween and one of the reasons I always loved that film is because it allowed me to keep experiencing Halloween (my actual favourite holiday) at Christmas time when I was a child! Here’s a toast to the Nightmare Before Christmas!

Time to get to the gifts! I’m at it again with blogging some of the prizes on the FabFree Fallen Leaves & Frost Hunt. Today I’ll be showing you a sleek pair of boots and a full Tim Burton-themed scene including a house and other decor on the hunt.

Now here is the feature for today- almost everything you see in my “Burtonesque” scene are prizes on the FabFree Fallen Leaves & Frost Hunt at Kim’s Kreations. You can see them in both photo’s I’ve posted today.

A large Burtonesque-style house with cobwebs hanging off of it.
A striped black and white pumpkin with a white pumpkin set. (Beetlejuice, anyone?)
The flat black stylized tree- another creation reminiscent of the artistic style seen in Burton’s films and artwork. This piece also includes little black and white striped bats.

The dancing dolls- these are creepy dolls with button eyes that spin around and dance together. They are quite magical yet scary at the same time!
I have a feeling this will be my last fall-themed pic for 2021. I guess it’s time to say goodbye. Christmas is coming up so soon and I’m honestly excited for it this year! I have loved all the pumpkins and cozy fall leaves, but after this it will be time to transition to winter for me. After all, the snow literally just started falling down where I live. Although I am not a winter weather girl myself, I love all the fun that comes with the Christmas season.
