Hey FabFree! I am back with another St. Patty’s day post, and this time it is to show some St. Patrick’s Day decor. As I have discovered, it is quite difficult to find St. Patrick’s Day themed decor in SL for some reason. However, I made this cute little scene to celebrate today. Many of these items are prizes on the FabFree St. Patty’s Day Hunt. As well I am showing a very limited time 60L promo only available today before midnight, so read below to get the details.

A St. Pat’s Scene

Here are all the hunt prizes, deals and freebies that make up my fun “Emerald Home” scene:

• The adorable “Secrets of the Gnomes” decor item is a hunt prize on the FabFree St. Patty’s Day Hunt at Paper.Sparrow. It costs only 5L. These gnomes are chillin’ and look in love! So cute. ❤
• The amazing and wacky green steampunk portrait of a naked cat is another hunt prize from Paper.Sparrow on the FabFree St. Patty’s Day Hunt. This portrait is just amazing in all the right ways. I love it! Remember to also check out Allison’s post HERE which shows off Paper.Sparrow‘s other fashion prizes available on the hunt.
• The incredible set of St. Pat’s pet portraits is also an exclusive sale from Paper.Sparrow. Only today, St. Patricks Day, until 11: 59 PM SLT, you can get this hilarious set of pet portraits for only 60 Lindens. After the 60Promo sale ends, this set goes back to regular price for 100L, which still works out to 25L per print (but you do pay for the whole set at once which includes the 4 pet portraits). The ginger cat in the centre piece really does remind me of the Wizard of Oz… this is one of my favourite St. Patty’s items I found this year. It’s so different and just amazing!
• The living room set shown here- which consists of a leather loveseat, a coffee table, and end table, mirror and pot with clovers, is one of the hunt prizes on the FabFree St. Patty’s Day Hunt from Kim’s Kreations. • Finally, my St. Patty’s rug is from a free set of St. Patrick’s decor on the Marketplace. Nice and Cozy!

Hope you are all staying warm and enjoying some cozy time during this frigid (where I am anyway!) January!

Like the other ladies, I too have been stalking Cozyfest and seen all the gorgeousness there.  I brought something to show you from there too, this is a 50L find from Asteria, this sexy little number felt perfect with Valentine’s day coming up so quickly, so I grabbed it.  The pieces are mix and match and each part is separate and 50L each (bra, panties and shirt), including a HUD with ten coordinating colors for each too.  This set fits:

Close to Home

Hey gang!

We have a lot of fun here on the Fab Free Blog, but today I would like to get serious for a moment.

We know cancer is evil (I refuse to capitalize it), and that anyone can get it, even our beloved fur legged babies.  But did you know cancer is the leading cause of death in dogs?   It is estimated that 1 in 3 domestic dogs will develop cancer, which is the same incidence of cancer among humans.

So when I popped over to Foxwood for something totally unrelated, I saw the story of Ellie, who belongs to the girl who runs Foxwood.  Ellie is her Golden Retriever and Ellie has cancer.  I have lost two out of three of my Goldens to cancer, as well as my beloved Shih Tzu, Tara.  So I know the story all too well, and it is an issue that is very close to home for me.  I never had the chance to help my babies, but Ellie has a chance to fight and we can help her.

The three goldens in my photo, are a set that you can get at Foxwoods for only 75L (they are adorable too!!!  I love the one I can carry around and I’ve had three people say they wanted one too when they saw me carrying her!) and all proceeds go to help Ellie.  We all love the sales and we love the cute sl pets, this is a chance to enjoy both while helping a real pet have a chance at fighting the evil known as cancer.  (I have lost both my parents to it as well).

I’m not sure how long the sale is up for, I reached out but haven’t heard back.  I checked a little while ago and it is still up.

I hope each and every one of you will stop by Foxwood for this cause.  Cancer *can* be beaten, for both humans and our furbabies!

In just ten days Tara will be gone five years and my heart still breaks every single day (and someday Jian will make us a cute set of Shih Tzus so that I can have her with me at least in second life) (I keep requesting it!).  Her and Sumner (my Golden boy I lost to cancer) are pictured below.  I never got to have human kids, and honestly I raised these two from babies and I couldnt have loved them more if they had been human.  They were my kids.

These are the faces of canine cancer, the ones we must fight for.

Sumner (above) lost to Hemangiosarcoma at the age of 9 on 8.29.2004

Tara aka Tee (below) lost to Lymphoma of the intestines at the age of 12 on 11.25.2016

Before and After

Cheerio gang!

This post is not your typical before and after.  Oh gosh I *do* love me a before and after, you know when they do makeovers?  It is one of my fondest wishes to one day get a makeover by professionals.  Alas.  But I love a makeover, it’s always so exciting to see what changes they make and how awesome whomever or whatever they were working on came out!

This is kind of a reverse before and after to showcase the awesome goodies I got at the Arcade Event, courtesy of Pare’.  Now, if you want to get all the juicy details of how the new system at the arcade works, I spelled it all out in my previous post here.  With that out of the way, let’s get on to the fun stuff, the goodies!  The machine for Pare’ is called Night Crawlers and is 75L a play and I had to come back on subsequent days to get both the outfits I was lucky enough to grab.  The above was the pink, which I love.  The below photo shows the Halloween version which I was lucky enough to get on my second day try.  I was originally going to just blog the pink one, but when I got the Halloween one as well, I couldn’t resist combining the two.

So, what exactly do I call my before and after?  The first photo, above, is before the Zombie Apocalypse, the second photo before is, well, after, obviously, and our brave heroine can tell she has become outnumbered and she is about to become Zombie herself.  Notice how she is biting her lip in distress?  So she has gone from geek chic to zombie hunter.

As I stated in my previous post, you choose the size you want to play for in the machine and I chose Maitreya Lara as that is what I wear.

Lessons learned by our lovely heroine… a gun works better than an axe when fighting zombies.  Unfortunately.

The Doorway into Autumn

Hey gang,

I’m here with Tara (aka Miss Tee, aka Chia pet, aka Chi, etc etc) to share with you some gorgeous Autumn decor for your home.  This week would have been Tara’s birthday if her real life self were still here and although I have been unable to find a shih tzu companion in world that looks like her (she was a black and white shih tzu, and I kept her hair cute and short, as she was a bit of a tomboy!), I try to get as close as I can and this little one from Rezz Room is very cute.  😉  (My Golden Animesh Sumner is also based on a real life furbaby of mine I had many moons ago).

But I digress, I am here to speak of the glories of autumn decor, it’s just that she is on my mind this week, September is a difficult month for me, I lost Sumner on the 29th of August, my dad on the 18th and my Mom on the 29th.(not the same year of course)  So with them all lumped together and my little Tee’s birthday in the mix, it’s in the forefront of my mind lately.

Let’s talk about Autumn!  Shanti always has some goodies for free for everyone and this time of year is no exception.  Not only is there a free box of autumn themed goodies (including the rug here and several other items!) but there is also the fireplace behind me for 55L, along with the cute sunflower tapestry, which I love for only 45L but brand new this year is the Ready for Autumn Golden who is only 1L!  I’ve taken a closer-up photo below to show you the little lights so cozy on the fireplace and on our autumn wreath wearing handsome pup as well!  It’s all got a soft lovely glow that will bring a cozy atmosphere to those chilly autumn nights coming up!

I’m still hoping summer will come back because this girl is not a fan of the cold.  The only *good* thing is that I get to whip out my collection of fingerless gloves that I love to wear.  😉  Of course with covid, I’ve been reduced to wearing them at home, but that’s ok, my hands are cold all winter.  😉 (as if I need an excuse to wear them!)

Sharing a Snack

There’s not much more I love in this world than puppies and horses.  Seriously, I could leave nearly all the human race behind and be on an island of puppies and horses, I would be one happy chickie!  Honestly, I talk more to animals, plants and inanimate objects than I do to other people most of the time!

Pugs & Kisses

The weekend is the perfect time to dress up and spend some time hanging out with a four legged date!  Heck, they don’t care if you dress up or not.  But it’s fun to dress up so I do.    This cute little guy comes to me courtesy of Dench Designs who are (is??) having a flash sale on them!  You get a plethora of pugs, for NOT a plethora of lindens!  This flash sale goes til Tuesday (great band back in the day!  lol), and you can get the puggies for only 32L!  If you can’t make it there by Tuesday (thats *not* a band…. that I know of.), then you can get the puggies for 60L.  Which is still a faboo price!  You just rez the pug bed and click it and choose what you would like the pug to be doing.  I made him sit so he could be pretty for my picture.  This is the ad which shows your pug activity choices:
