I plan on binging the Home Alone movies this year and enjoying all the antics involved. I haven’t watched them in such a long time, I think it’s about time I form a new tradition! As a kid, I sure did wish my family went away for a vacation and forgot me. Hello hello Fab Free’rs, of the many many things I love about what I like to call Halloween season are the scary movies. I’m particularly fond of classic horror, and I can’t help but love the horror comedy smashup that is Young Frankenstein. What does all of that have to do with this post? Why the pillows of course! Lastly, a new-to-me shop called Project Crystal’s Fashion has a pair of perfect-for Halloween body suits for just 1 linden on the Marketplace. I did attempt to find an in-world location, but was unsuccessful. I’ve always liked the idea of wearing certain more lingerie-like pieces as outerwear in a fashion sense. This is for me one of those “fashion experiments” if you will. I wore one of the BOM layer bodysuits under the high-cropped top from ChicModa.
Hello Fab Free! This is absolutely my favorite time of year. This is when I can be as spooky as I want to, and no one seems to mind. That said, I think my level of excitement over the Halloween Shop & Hop events might have been the most excitement I’ve felt about an event all year. With several sims full of festive Halloween goodness and freebies, I can’t imagine not being excited. That said, I have several of the freeHalloween Shop & Hop event gifts to share with you. I sincerely hope you love them, I do.
As Aline mentioned in her recent post “The Magic Words” there are 8 total Halloween Shop & Hop sims. Most (if not all) of the participating shops have a free gift, with no group required. Some gifts will require you to pay 1 linden, however you will be instantly refunded. For this look I picked up the free gifts from Pink Cream Pie, #Adored, The Annex, On a Lark, and ChicChica. Pink Cream Pie
My thoroughly blood splattered top is the free Halloween Shop & Hop gift by Pink Cream Pie. This gift comes with a color change hud that has several solid colored tees all with generous amounts of blood splatter.
The free Halloween Shop & Hop gift by #Adored is the cutest little brow tattoo. It reads “Spooky” with the option of wearing it on the right or the left side, in cursive or bold lettering, each with the choice of bold or faded styles. This tattoo comes in tint-able BOM layers only, which gives the added option of having the tattoo in color.
The Annex
I particularly like this fun devil horns headband by The Annex because it glows like neon. It comes in several color choices, so you can wear this fun accessory with multiple outfits. They are also of course free at the Halloween Shop & Hop Event.
I think there’s a rule that says you can’t have Halloween without a black and red manicure. Okay, maybe not, but in my world these bento nails by On a Lark are a must this season. On a Lark has 2 darkly pretty manicure sets as free gifts at the Halloween Shop & Hop event. The ones I am wearing are part of the “Halloween” set that has 4 black and red variations in the set.

There has been a lot of talk about “sweater weather” as the season shifts from summer to autumn. This year I think I’ll refer to it as “hoodie season.” At the moment little sounds nicer than a comfy cozy hoodie and a crisp cool autumn afternoon.

My over-sized hoodie by Gabriel is a free gift (no group needed) at Neo Japan. This blue and purple gradient hoodie is unisex. So guys, don’t hesitate to pick this free gift up also! I also very much like the open shoulders, and the giant kangaroo pocket. I think I just might live in this for a while.
Did you peep the cool earrings I have on? They are the latest group gift at e.marie. I love this take on the classic hoop earring. I think these are elegant enough to wear with formal looks, and still subtle enough to be worn casually. The e.marie group is 50L to join. This group gift includes a hud that allows you to pick from several metal choices, and these earrings can be resized.
Anyone who tells you Time Travel is a science, and not an artform, is a scoundrel. It is and must be both. You need to be able to finesse your way through multiple realities and get the calculations correct. For now, I’m going to slice through the curtain of time and get myself out of this Jurassic nightmare before one of these giant prehistoric lizards decides I might be a delicious meal. The Engine Room
Purely by happenstance I visited the Engine Room event. Lo and behold, it’s an Anniversary round! You guessed it, that means free gifts. Lots and lots of amazing free gifts. The theme is steampunk and the gifts are free with the Second Life Syndicate group tag. The group is free to join. I got all of them, and would have loved to show all of them to you, but that would just be tedious for everyone. Instead, I put together my Time Traveler look using the Engine Room gifts from Eudora3D, Apricot Paws, Wicca’s Originals, Deadly Nightshade, and Lux Aeterna.

I think this hat from Eudora3D is possibly one of the coolest hats I’ve ever owned, and it’s absolutely free. The Witch Hunter hat is incredibly detailed. It comes with a hud that lets you change the metal parts gold or silver, and adjust the position and size of the hat. You’ll find this freebie waiting for you at the Engine Room event. Apricot Paws
My very Victorian-like blouse by Apricot Paws is also free at the Engine Room. It fits beautifully and I love the subtle pinstripes. This shirt comes in a tucked and a not tucked version for multiple wear options. This gift also has a hud that lets you adjust the color of the bow, the buttons, and metal bits.
The Havoc Mask is the freeEngine Room Anniversary gift by Wicca’s Originals. This super cool accessory is unisex in that it comes in a male sizes as well as a female size. The details are awesome, and it fit me perfectly, however there are resize scripts in the masks.
Deadly Nightshade
I think this clockwork mechanism halo piece by Deadly Nightshade is so cool. Not only does it look cool with all the great details, it also has moving parts. The pieces attach separately so that they move independent of each other. That also means they can be worn all together or separately. This freeEngine Room gift was the initial inspiration for creating a Time Traveling character.
Lux Aeterna
The golden scalpel and scissors by Lux Aeterna together are the first Engine Room gift I unpacked and knew I had to do something with them. They are gorgeous aesthetically, and have a macabre element that I really like. They also have these really awesome bento hold poses, that are just icing on the cake.
