Anywhere But Here

Alright guys, I’ve left the beach and I’m gonna hitch a ride to anywhere but here.  Sometimes city life does get to be a bit of a bother, so I’m eschewing the concrete jungle with a firm hand and I’m going mobile!

Hit the Road, Aline

My hitchhiking look is all inspired by a fun hunt that’s going on right now at Death Row Designs (aka DRD).  It’s not necessarily the easiest thing in the world, but it was pretty entertaining!  I landed at the main store and joined the group for FREE, then grabbed the hunt HUD.  Walking along the main path of the store, you’ll find little lunch bags all over the place!  You give them a click, and inside will be your fun wearable prize (I just strewed my stuff all over the place so you can see it, but all the items are wearable and feature a great bento hold animation).  The tricky bit with this hunt, is that all the bags you’re hunting for are not static, in other words, once you click on it it will disappear into the ether and show up somewhere else.  Don’t let that deter you, I got the hunt done fairly quickly without too much head scratching!  Once you collect all the prizes, you get the final prize which is this cool backpack which comes in both male and female sizes.  Can’t say no to that!

A Comfy Look

To match my hitchhiking mood, I clearly needed the right outfit for hitting the road, and this great one by Crom fits the bill perfectly.  I grabbed it over at The Wash Sizzling Summer Cart Sale for a measly 25L.  Perfect!  This outfit comes sized for Freya, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, Voluptuous and Fitmesh Sizes from S-L with an Alpha layer.

If you’re in need of some retail therapy, but your lindens (like mine!) are limited, you might check out the Black and White Hunt happening at CroM. Festive Fashion and Holiday Treats

Hello and happy weekend Fab Free’rs! Oh My Goodness! This December really is the month that just keeps on giving. It’s almost impossible to keep up with all the gifts, hunts, sales, and advents happening. Speaking of sales, the Cart Sale has started at The Wash sim. The Holiday Goodies – Just on a whim I stopped by a little shop called Sam’s Nails. I’m certainly glad I did, not only are they having 12 days of advent gifts, there are several group gifts available. This hold-able mug full of holiday cheer is one of the several current group gifts. Also, the gingerbread man with his own hold animation is the Day 13 Advent gift at Sam’s Nails. What I like about these is the hold animation is set with a high priority so it should work with most Animation Overrides.  Both the advent gifts, and the group gifts require the Sam’s Nails group tag. There is a join fee of 150 linden. Also, the previous day’s Advent gifts are still available for free with the group tag.

My sweet multitone bob is a free gift by BMS at the Japan Canvas sim.  They’re having a little hunt which didn’t strain my eyes too much, thankfully!  I searched for the little orange clapboards not far from the landing point, and I quickly found this hair!  There are two other styles inside the box too!  Cool!

I’ll never forget the way you look tonight

I’ve been on an evening gown kick lately. I don’t know why, but I’ve found myself purchasing all of these slinky sexy gowns. Today I’m wearing just such a gown, but it’s even better becaaaaause I didn’t have to buy it – it’s FREE!

Witchy Woman

I love October in Second Life.  The changing colors, haunted houses, amazing costumes, and the HUNTS!  Among many great events this fall is the CroM Halloween hunt!  Hidden around the store are 5 pumpkins priced at $5 L each, and each one contains a high quality Halloween themed item, including this dress (sized for standard sizes and most mesh bodies!)  The pumpkins are not too hard to find, and every single one has a great piece of clothing in it.

Kathryn recently showed you a lovely lip applier from Shiny Stuffs, and I was lucky enough to score a few freebies from there myself!  Currently in store Shiny Stuffs is giving away a Queen of Hearts makeup appliers set, and a Halloween Maitreya Nail applier fatpack!  I am modeling the spikey mascara and one of the 3 versions of eye liner here, as well as the candy skulls nails.  These little tidbits will make any Halloween costume pop.

The Skin You’re In, is perfect for dressing up.

Alright Fabbies. I have loads to show you in this post, from hunt stuff, store sale stuff, group gift stuff , to cart sale stuff, so I am not going to chat it up too much, I’m just going to get right to it!!

Lets start with my fun and flirty dress. The Fanny Sequin Dress is from CroM, a new to me store, and it is the gift for the WomenStuff hunt that is currently happening right now. This lovely dress is mesh, in the standard sizes, and comes with a hud that will let you change the colour of the solid parts of the dress from the black I have on, to red. This hunt prize is free, although if you continue on in the hunt, be aware that some gifts are set to L$1. The hint for CroM is ‘I love new releases’. It’s pretty easy 🙂 You have until September 30th to go find the little red t-shirt hunt object.

Next up are my gorgeous shoes. Essenz has put out a new, free group gift, and that is my Bologna heels in Olive Gray. These are for SLink high feet, as well, there is a pair for Maitreya feet too. The group is L$350 to join, but the gifts are given quite often, and you receive a 15% store credit when you wear your tag while shopping there, so I think it is a justifiable fee for sure.

Now, I did mention more Wash Cart Sale stuff didn’t I. This time, I’m showing off the sweet Danielle skin, in Tone 4 from The Skin You’re In, Direct TP. For L$10 a tone, either the cleavage version, or the non-cleavage version, you get your skin, with a bunch of different tattoo options. My favourite, is the fact the skin is eyebrow-less, and I’m sure you all know by now, my love of a certain pair of eyebrows that I wear constantly. However, the eyebrows that come with the skin are pretty, and come in several shades to match any haircolour. The other options are freckles, dimples, and the teeth I am showing off in the close-up where I have makeup on. The lower picture without makeup, which is a nice fresh face, is what my skin looks like as is, with the freckle layer. Perfect for adding makeup layers to! I’ll add a shot of the cart at the end of this post so you can see all the tones available. You only have until the 16th to grab this deal, so do not wait!

As I said, the bare face of my skin is perfect for all these makeup layers you can buy now. So how did I decide what to wear? Well, while I was wandering around The Wash sim, looking at the carts, I wandered by the La Boheme store, and saw that they are having an end of the summer sale, 50% off everything except already discounted items. Of course, I had to partake in the deals! All lipstick and eyeshadow packs are only L$35 each, and all nail appliers are L$25 each. I picked out the Matte Plum lips, the Feline Instinct eyes, and as highlighted in the picture below, the Abalone nails.This sale runs until September 15th, so make sure you go fast, you don’t want to miss out. Oh, and as an added bonus, there is a 2 pack set of nail appliers for SLink, set out as a free gift!

Phew! See, told you I had loads of great things to show off, and it all came together in a cute, slightly flirty-sexy, yet still classy look. Love when it all pulls together so easily!
