The Light In Your Eyes

Hey there, Fab Free!  Happy Saturday to you and Happy Victoria Day holiday weekend for our Canadian and Scottish readers!  We have a three day weekend coming up in the US, and to me, it always signals that summer is just around the corner.  I hope wherever you are, you enjoy your weekend.  I have two free gifts to share with you (one is unisex, so keep reading, ladies).  Now there’s a budget friendly way to start summer!

They say eyes are the window to the soul. Retro Style

Hello there, Fabulous Readers!  I took a step back in time as I hit the trail of the Retro Hunt this week.  The first stop on my list was one of my favorite stores – Horr Menswear.  There, I discovered this vintage style tank featuring the name of an 80’s band.  As a young pup back in the day, I remember riding down the highway, windows down, and Blue Monday by the New Order blaring on the stereo.  So, of course, I just HAD to find the hunt prize featuring this group!

Back to the Eighties

It took longer than I thought and several trips to the store, but I was bound and determined not to give up.  I’m so glad I hung in there because I came away with a classic two toned tank top.  This form-fitting top features a realistic wrinkled texture and a muted color scheme.  As you can see from my picture, it coordinates well with faded blue jeans, but would also go with black or gray pants.  Since versions for classic as well as mesh bodies are tucked in the package, I’m sure you’ll discover one that fits your avatar just right.  Priced at only 1 Linden dollar (and an investment of time spent searching), this top is a great addition to anyone’s casual summer wardrobe.

Hello there, Fabulous Readers, and Happy Monday!  I had a long, long day, and sure am happy to be on the tail end of the first day of the work week.  I’m popping in with a quick post featuring fantastic free hair for the guys (actually, ladies you could wear this one, too!).

No, Really, I’m Just a Cowboy at Heart

Faded Blue

Hello Fabulous Readers.  So, the other day, I couldn’t get Ripley to even open his eyes just a tiny bit, but my animal magnetism is working fine on the ladies over at Mystical Fae sim as you can see from my snapshot.  They just didn’t stop following me around.  I think they approved of my latest outfit, which I picked up for just 50L at the Sunny Side Up Sale at The Wash.  You’ve probably seen Aline’s and Love’s posts featuring beautiful items for the gals, but I’m here to tell you the guys haven’t been forgotten!

Dark Water and Faded Denim

As soon as I saw the casual Faded Denim Weekend Set at the Dark Water Designs cart, I knew I had to grab a copy for myself.   For just 50L, I was able to add a complete outfit to my summer wardrobe… a great deal!  The light blue button down shirt comes with the open/bare chested version I’m wearing, as well as one which includes a white tee for those cooler days.  Knee length white twill shorts complete the look.  I like the added detail of the belt at the waistline.  The package contains fit mesh and classic versions.  By adjusting the alpha layer on my Belleza mesh body, I was able to wear everything with no problem.   The sale at The Wash continues on through May 16th, so you still have plenty of time to scoop up this warm weather staple for yourselves.

Way Back Up In The Country

Howdy there, Fabulous Readers!  Although I’ve been working hard around the farm all day, it’s finally break time, which means I get to stop and tell you all about this durable set of overalls I picked up as a prize in the World Tour Hunt.  You may have read Astrid’s post about her cosmopolitan finds on the hunt, but this good ol’ boy picked up a package with a more country flair.

Down in Creekville

This morning, I was up before dawn, ready to head over to Horr Menswear to see if I could locate the globe concealed in the shop.  I called his name, jingled his tracking harness, and even rattled a whole box full of Ripley snacks, but he wouldn’t budge.  He just kept snoring softly all curled up on his fluffy dog bed.  Muttering something about a “so-called man’s best friend,” I gave up on the pupster, crossed my fingers, and hoped I’d be able to find the hunt object on my own without too much trouble.  Thankfully, it didn’t take long, and I was soon back home opening my prize.

Since Kat hasn’t stopped going on about her relaxing getaway to the beach, I decided it was my turn.  I loaded up my board, and made a quick trip to the surf over at Baja Tides, blasting music by the Beach Boys the whole way.  Luckily, my new shorts had me all set to catch some waves in style.

No, Really, I’ve Been Spring Cleaning All Morning!

Hello Fabulous Readers!  Honestly, I have been busy working on organizing the garage all morning!  I’m just in the middle of one of my rare breaks.  Bruiser, here, wandered over from next door, and I had to pause, give him a long scritch between his ears, and slip him a Ripley snack or two.  Good thing the Pupster was off on a walk with Kat, otherwise there might have been a rumble around here!

For Him…

Loyal reader Geoffrey Edwardstone sent in a tip that there are some terrific prizes to locate in the For Him Hunt.  You may have already seen that Loki blogged the Horr Menswear hunt prize {here}.  It sure looks great on him!  Astrid shared the Storax Tree’s Seattle Loft Small Table {here}, which is another hunt item.  After seeing all of these goodies, and reading Geoffrey’s note, I decided to tackle this hunt for myself.  In no time at all, I picked up my Camo Cargo Shorts over at {Fe Style}.  The package includes two fit mesh options, plus mesh for classic avatars.  By adjusting the alpha layer on my Belleza body, I got a terrific fit, even though there is not a specific mesh avatar version.  With plenty of pockets to stash the day’s necessities in, and a cool camo print, I can see myself sporting these shorts often.  Once I located the wrench concealed in the shop, this summer wardrobe staple cost me just one Linden dollar.  Thanks so much for the heads up, Geoffrey!

Don’t Get Left Out in the Cold!

The Menstuff Hunt is coming to an end.

I didn’t want to get left out in the cold when it came to getting in on the goods with the Menstuff Hunt… after all, the hunt ends November 30th, but somehow I ended up sitting on ice in a simful of penguins. I blame Astrid’s sense of direction. At least the penguins are friendly and the view of the Northern Lights is spectacular. Come to think of it… I don’t have that much to complain about after all. The trip up here was actually worth it. The sim is called Lovea and this little icy haven is outside of a small art studio. It’s well worth visiting to snap a few photos.

I needed igloo appropriate clothes.
