Grumbly Mondays

Hello FabFree Folks!

I found this elegant Winter Knit dress and couldn’t resist it. The dress comes in standard Mesh sizes XS-L and has a good alpha layer.  This ‘sweet sixteen’ Hunt runs until January 31st so don’t delay.

While I was on the Hunt I found this great snowflake necklace at Glint. The “Falling Snowflakes Necklace” was actually the prize for the Gingerbread Hunt now ended. However, as of this posting,  the prize is still out at Glint.  Be aware, this Hunt is over and Glint can remove the prize at any time. So if you missed it and want it… hurry over now!

25L Tuesdays Strikes Again!

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

25L Tuesday is back and there are some really awesome offerings today. 25L Tuesday is a mostly fantasy/ role play/ Gor event but sometimes the things up for grabs would be perfect for anyone’s closet. Luas‘ item today fits that to a T. This is the Loreto in blue. The short dress is one complete outfit but you also get a longer skirt that takes this cutie right over to fantasy or Gor. The dress comes in the standard Mesh sizes XS to XL and the long skirt comes in sizes XXS to XXL. The optional belt is non rigged mesh and is easily resized. You even get the necklace along with the dress. It’s also non rigged mesh for resizing.

25L Tuesday runs all day today and you can pick up a list of the participating stores at any of the green “25L Tuesday” signs.

I’ll put a spell on you….

Remember when I said I was so ready for Halloween? I think Birdy is too!

I was enjoying the gachas at the current round of the Arcade when I stumbled on Birdy’s “Hocus Pocus Gacha” and I may or may not have made a very unprofessional squeal of happy.  At 75L per play, it squeaks in under the FabFree limit but it’s worth every Linden. Birdy’s items are always beautifully built and eye catching. The Hocus Pocus set is no exception. I was lucky enough to pull the basic broom mount in oak ( Though, I think I will be going back to try for the Rare broom mount with the cute kitty passenger) The broom mounts come with a HUD to take the lantern on and off. The Rare gold spellbook along with the common owl and Sphynx kitty round out my treasures from the last play. Now, I’ve changed the position of the owl, kitty and book for the picture but each one comes with it’s own hold animation.

Okay, I says, now I need some cool witchy hair to keep building this look. Happily, Clawtooth’s Ruby Starlight gacha was just the thing. The hair comes in two styles, the “Ruby Starlight” I’m showing you and a tossled up-do called “Just for Kicks”. Each play on Clawtooth machine is 75L with eleven possible prizes per hairstyle.

Last on my list a neat new slinky dress… and there was Pixicat’s “Bastet” machine. This is the Bastet dress in red but it comes in white, black and pick as well. I love the sleek long lines and when Sphynx kitties are part of the prizes, you can’t go wrong. Each play is 75l and there are three rares in the rotation.

What’s New Pussycat?

Hello FabFree Folks! If you haven’t already guessed: I love cats! So when I saw there was a Cats! Hunt, I knew I was going Hunting!

First up, this is the “Cats Hunt”  dress from Get Frocked. I love the little black cats on the skirt and the back has a really unusual open design. It goes perfectly… or should I say ‘purrrrr fectly’ with my new tattoo from French Vintage Couture.  The “Cats” tattoo comes with two thigh sets of paw prints, one set for the spine and even a set for your face.  My necklace continues the paw print theme and adds a little heart to it. This is the ‘Paw” necklace from Miss Jewel.

Now, I know we normally don’t blog things like tip jars but when I saw that you can add your own photo and this being all about our feline friends… I had an opportunity to show off my real world fur babies.  This is the Curious Cats tip jar from Tipsters. It is a very nice build and I love that you can add your own photo to it. I’m going to keep it around as a super cute picture frame since it only takes up 3 land impact points.  And if you’re ‘curious’ … from left to right that’s Malachi, Boomer, Ivy and Cassie all sitting in the window saying ‘hi’ as I come home.

The HeatWave Event : Encore! Plus a little Damselfly ;)

Hey there, FabFree Folks! I’m betting you know by now that the Wash is all heated up with the Heatwave Cart Sale. If you haven’t checked it out…. why ever not? This is the ‘Sophie’ maxi dress from Encore’s Cart and it’s one of the 10L items. It’s a beautiful build with the fresh summery colors and it moves perfectly when you walk. And only 10L? Awesome!

When I saw this cool stripy maxi, my very first thought ( after – I GOTTA have that!) was “This needs a sweet picture hat!” And just as I was trying on the dress, Damselfly  popped up a notecard with their new Group Gift for the ladies: ‘Miranda’! All about the Birds and the Bees

Hello and Happy almost the weekend, Fab Folks! After you’ve all perused the HeatWave event at the Wash, you might want to keep the good times rolling with a Hunt or two. Might I suggest the “Birds and the Bees” Hunt from I&R’s Fun With Hunts.

I’ve picked this fun little sun dress from D.O.R.K. to show off today. I love the butterflies print paired with the simple black top. Then I saw the gorgeous butterfly covered necklace and earrings from Stars, I knew they were meant for each other.

La Boheme supplied more butterflies for my nails! There are two styles for SLink nails in La Boheme’s gift. The pastel butterflies ‘Happy Mood’ and ‘By the Sea’.

So while there are lots of birds and bees in the Hunt… I seem to have focused on the butterflies! 😛  Either way, this is a fun 1L per prize hunt with 93 stops. I’m betting you’ll find something to love!

Into the great Unknown

Good evening, FabFolks!  One of the fun things about Second Life is discovering new designs! And that what the Unknown Hunt is all about.  This is a 0L hunt to showcase only new designers who opened shop in 2014 or 2015.

This is the ‘Rebecca Slate’ dress and heels from GeMyles Couture. This racy little cocktail dress comes with a matching pair of heels for SLink High Feet featuring the same golden floral design as the dress.

Next is a cute floral sundress from Sweet Tea Couture. The mesh dress comes in five standard sizes. I just love the retro feel of the black and white and red floral print.

Wicked Good

Good afternoon, Fabfolks! I hope you’re all having a lovely Saturday today. It’s so bright and sunny here today I’m just soaking it in with a big ‘ol smile.  Wicked is obviously gearing up for the warm days ahead with their group gifts too.

This is the ‘Arya’ dress the April group gift. The dress comes with a HUD to change the color of the string tie and the buttons. I liked the all over single color but the HUD makes this cute little dress all the more versatile.
