I love different looking things and this outfit by Rowena is indeed different. It reminds me of a protective garment with these beautiful spikes. It says “Hey – stay away from my beauties!”. I find that Rowena is a versatile designer and has a nice collection of outfits for sale at her shop(s). Many of the items are available as gifts and Midnight Mania prizes. Her group is FREE to join.
I have included 3 pictures below, one with a closeup of the corset.

Listen up, all you guys who need to impress your teacher by the end of the semester so you can graduate. If you want to show you are a serious student, just get yourself over to the Adjunct store pronto where there is a clearance sale going on up on the second floor.
There are some real finds up there and each one is only $10L. My dress shirt can be bought in any of several colors and includes both tucked and untucked versions of the long-sleeved or rolled-up sleeve styles. Both styles come in open collar or buttoned collar looks. Take it from someone who should know, teachers just love that neat, tidy, tucked-in shirt look. The bow tie is one I had in my inventory from an earlier hunt and is not sold with the shirt. I’ve paired the shirt with Adjunct’s suspender pants, also only $10L. For that low price you get both the long version with tidy prim cuffs and short ones with rolled up prim legs. If you want to use your suspenders to hold up your pants there is a choice of six jacket-layer color schemes including the orange and green style I’m wearing. If you’d rather let the suspenders hang down, just wear the prim version instead, which comes with a resizer and a texture change menu.
That gets me to the all-important personal style choices one needs to make to reinforce the serious student look. First you will need thick glasses with black frames, and this pair is available from Fleebish! on the Marketplace for just $20L. Hair should be short and well-groomed, preferably slicked down in a 1950′s style like this Frank hair which is the Breakfast at Tiffany’s hunt gift from A&A Hair. If you choose to wear a hat, it should be the kind worn by French intellectuals, namely a beret. This one is $10L from Adjunct’s clearance sale, and has a color-change script in it so that you can color coordinate with your suspenders. Now finally, facial hair is optional, but if you wear it, it should be neatly groomed like this Dali mustache, also just $10L at the Adjunct sale. Adjunct has several mustache styles on sale and all of them – get this – have a wiggling animation which you can turn on and off. What a deal!
Voila! There you have it – the perfect nerd – oops! — I mean, serious student look. And don’t forget an apple for the teacher.
Geoffrey is wearing:
Shirt (bow tie not included), suspender pants, beret hat, Dali mustache – Adjunct – Clearance Sale items – each item $10L
Glasses – Thick Glasses. $20L – Fleebish! on the MP
Oh how I love when the weather gets cooler…. the trees change color, and I can wear all my different pairs of boots, can wear my hair down without wanting to rip it out…. Speaking of hair, I picked up this dollarbie hair from Alli & Ali on the marketplace… and my boots, well these are from VoiD. My headband and bracelets are the September Gift Group from WTG and the skin is the new dollarbie from Mother Goose’s. I also picked up this shape for free at By*Snow…. This L$ 10 dress is from FireBird Designs, yet another of The Wash Biannual Cart Sale designers. What a bunch of great finds right? Check out the credits for all the details.

Hello fabulous readers! Today is the LAST DAY of Hair Fair 2013, so if you haven’t had a chance to pop over yet, you’ll need to do so asap! RL has kept me super busy this week, but I wanted to show you these terrific gifts available at the Port sim before the event ends tonight and it all goes away. Unfortunately, in order to get these photos published today, I had to minimize my photo editing, and leave my commentary to the bare minimum. But I think most everything is self-explanatory, thank goodness!
Hair – Amacci HairLova (all colors / 0L)
Tank – Sparkle SkyeTank with Ruffles (1L)
Poses – PloomBones (0L)
The previous 6 photos are all from a huge, generous pack of hair from Alli & Ali. The entire pack is free (0L) and includes several men’s hairs.
Head over to the Port sim at Hair Fair 2013 to collect these wonderful gifts! For a map and list of designers, click here. And don’t forget that your purchases benefit Wigs for Kids. But hurry – only a few hours left!
With her usual enthusiasm, Nessie decided to take Gavin and me out for a walk on the beach after dinner. 🙂
Gavin and I are both wearing the July group gifts from SHIKI (free to join); for me, that includes this brightly-colored dress, and for Gavin, it’s the shorts and polo shirt. Gavin is also wearing the mesh boat shoes which are a group gift from GABRIEL, sunglasses from Vooza (featured at Epicosity’s Beach Party), and a group gift bracelet from Chop Zuey.
Both of us are wearing free gift hairs from Hair Fair 2013. Gavin’s is one of many for men and women found in the gift box from Alli & Ali. Mine is the gift from Analog Dog, which you can pick up your favorite color, as well as every other color! I’m wearing my favorite red, but you can see Care wearing a different color here. Don’t forget: a portion of your Hair Fair 2013 purchases go to benefit Wigs for Kids, so please show your support! 🙂
***Each day, here on the FabFree Blog, we will be featuring one of our Fabulously Free in SL inworld Designers, selecting them from the notices sent to the Fabulously Free in SL group. Photos are work of the designers.
