Let Your Fingers Do the Walking

Going through the SL19B sims reminds of me of an old commercial for the Yellow pages phonebook. In the early 1960s an artist came up with the now famous slogan – “Let your fingers do the walking through the Yellow Pages” for the New England Telephone which was eventually bought out by AT&T. (btw, it’s an American thing as far as I know).

Okay, where was I going with this bit of trivia?? Oh yeah! Walking through SL19B is like walking through the yellow pages. I don’t know how your avatar moves but mine moves with me using 2 fingers to “walk”. Quit blathering and get on with it Cre!

Lovely Sparkles

Don’t you love it when you pick up free gifts, open them and find a few treasures? I was pleasantly surprised when I unpacked the SL19B gift from Son!a Edge. What a beautiful, well-crafted dress! The details and textures knocked me out of my socks. Petra comes in this pleasing shade accented with shiny sequins and gorgeous flowers.

Peau Neuve (aka New Skin)

Thanks to the WoW non-group Lucky Boards I’m sporting a new skin. When a “C” popped up on one of the boards I slapped it and got 2 shades of the Sugar BOM skin. I’m wearing the bronze version today. Hola amigos y amigas! A bit of wanderlust set in yesterday. I wanted to visit someplace different from my usual haunts and found a gem. El Pueblo is a wonderful place to visit with all kinds of things to do & see. The bright colors and beautiful landscaping were just what I needed.

Hey Fab Free! I have a really awesome event to share with you today! Well, it’s more like three events in one! Media SL is sponsoring three events in 1 sim and they are basically all taking place in one huge shopping plaza. The events are called the Versus event, the Look Event and the Last Chance event. I will be showing you an outfit I created using gifts from this three-in-one event and other group gifts and sales I found around the sim. Through this look, I was able to channel my inner John Lennon. Let’s Go!

Free Gifts Galore

All three events discussed above have free gifts available, which you can get by joining the free Media SL group. Here is the group join URI, which you can copy into your chat in SL to join the group.

To get the gifts, just keep running along one side and you will be able to grab them all that way. You are looking for the “Designer Gift” signs in front of the shops on the sim.  In addition to these gifts, there are also lucky chairs set out over the entire event so watch out for your letter and you may get lucky and win even more gifts! I am wearing some of the ones I grabbed from the event, including the John Lennon glasses from A&D and a lipstick applier gift from Unique Obsessions.

While I was at the event, I saw that Dreams had this amazing Sabine top fatpack on sale for 75 Linden. I had to have it- it’s gorgeous! It’s inside their satellite store which is located at the Versus Event. Dreams also has out a pair of free pants for men as part of the Versus event.

The Jeans

You can pick up the jeans I am wearing at the Versus Event by joining the free Phoenix store group and clicking the ripped jeans group gift at their stall. The jeans come in three denim shades.

Oh hi there. I’m just enjoying the view and the breeze blowing in from the ocean, and thinking long thoughts. For instance, whose genius idea was it for the tooth fairy to come get teeth from under a kid’s pillow? Like really? Shouldn’t that first parent have been like, “let’s put the tooth in the living room, way far away from the sleeping child’s head and the tooth fairy can get it from there” or something? Because that would make my life a whole lot easier. This totally random thought is brought to you because my oldest child lost her first tooth last week. Wow I have digressed a looooot from the things I wanted to tell you about. Let’s get back on track!

This free and super cute romper from Scandalize was a no brainer, even for me! I love the hood and how the back is kind of pushed up. The front is to die for as well with a super sexy neckline and a really cute tie at the waist. It’s perfect beachwear for when you’re not in the mood for a bikini. Scoping Out A Great Hunt Prize!

Good evening Fabulous readers ;).  Tonight I would like to share news about a group gift and a sweet hunt prize I picked up this week while on my grid travels.
