Erin Dress, Skins, Linnea Hair, & The Killers

There is nothing like a blizzard to give you the extra time to pop back into Second Life.

There are some new items at FabFree HQ as of today.

First I made a dress and skin set in preparation for St. Patrick’s Day. The skin comes in Cream, Peaches, Tropical and Mocha. I used the colors of the Irish flag to influence the makeup. The is a sparkle green dress with matching gloves, shoes, and boots.

I played around with some of the freebie hair from Sarabi Spatula. The end result was the Linnea Updo. It is a very basic bun in that I made in 24 textures that I made myself. Fun!

About a month ago I popped in when I was hyped after seeing The Killers at MSG. I made two concert shirts and a makeup in Peaches to go with my concert mood. I got around to making a ad for it and putting it up today.

FabFree Gifts and Updates

Hi, remember me? I have pretty much retired from Second Life at this point. I am have been working on changing over all projects to have other people in charge.

First and most importantly, Renee Lowenhart is the boss for FabFree blog and the update group. Listen to what she has to say because she is filled with great wisdom.

Second, the FabFree HQ is going to be slightly separate from the update group. I have asked 2 designers, Laynie Linkk and Teagan Blackthorne, to take over the running of the HQ. They recently opened their own newbie store, Nooby Doo’s, so I know that they have new players and great deals in their hearts and with their designer contacts might be able to bring in new product. It also helps that I have met Laynie in the real world and know that she is a good person.

I will be around off and on but mostly to give out gifts.

On to the good stuff: GuRL 6 has out their cute Jinglebelle hair again this year. It is located inside the store to the center as you come in the entrance. It is where the flooring is black with all the new releases and sale items.  Be sure to head to the left afterward and pick up any hair that you missed out on in the freebie/$1L area.   There are 12 styles located there.

I have made several goodies for the FabFree group. A Give Thanks gift box has gone out that contains tees, shoes, purses, jewelry, silks, and jeans for the holiday.  Do a search in groups for the group called Fabulously Free in SL. (When I do a group search I use the phrase fabfree and it is the top choice). Join this group. It is free to join. Go to the Notices. Sort the Notices by date. Go to the one dated 11/27/2008 with the subject Important FabFree Updates & Gifts. (You might want to grab anything else in the archives.) You are now the proud owner of a box that contains Thanksgiving gifts from Fabulously Free in SL. Find a place that allow build. Unpack your box. Haven Ribbons for the Fall

I must confess some Lucky Chairs I keep going back to. I happened to get lucky at Haven Designs and there was a ? waiting for me when I arrived. This outfit is called Festival Ribbons and it covers all your important parts with ribbons and leaves in fall colors. The chair became a ? again and I was able to get Renee a copy too. While we were there, the owner, Delora Starbrook, came by as well. She is newly partnered to Queue Marlowe from Analog Dog. Congratz, ladies!

Lisa’s Things Zullay the Elan Calla

Some of you may have noticed that I have not been around. Real life is really in the front seat for me right now. Renee Lowenhart has graciously agreed to take on the tough stuff regarding the blog and group so be gentle with her. Lisa’s Things has this wonderful outfit out for the fall which is free until Tuesday at 1 PM SLT. The outfit is located towards the back of the store on the left wall.

To finish the look I headed to Elan to get their freebie boot collection. From the landing point you need to head west, make a right(north) when you reach Shop the Joker, and you should walk right into the store. The free boots are located on the left wall.
