Find Your Why

Heyas Fabs. I’m back again tonight with another tribute post to Palomma Casanova of The Free Dove. It’s nice to remember the people who made our Second Life a special place, and The Free Dove was one of my earliest memories of this wild and wacky world we all inhabit. I remember thinking “ooh… so many freebies… and they’re so nice too!”. And I think that really, that’s what always kept me coming back inworld – a bit of fashion fun, coupled with the important relationships we all make.

We may sometimes scoff at SL (I’m sure we all have at some point), but really… think of all the important people you’ve met. The friendships, the laughs, the stories, the weirdness… all of it. It’s a magical world. We can be who we want, and wear what we want, and do whatever we like, and it’s nice to think that many of us choose to spend our time giving to others and being kind. And that’s what I’ll remember about Palomma.

We Will Come Rejoicing

While out wandering with my sheepies today we came across this serene little chapel in the woods. That old hymn, “Bringing in the Sheaves” popped into my twisted little brain and I started singing “bringing in the sheep.” My Ickci sheep can be testy at times and sometimes just plain baaaaahhhhdddd. See the one on my left jumping in the air – I can’t take them anywhere! I’ve been trying to herd them into to chapel for a dose of redemption. Wish me luck!

In Memory of Our Fallen Dove

It’s sad to say goodbye to someone has influenced so many of us in Second Life. Also known as Dove, Palomma Casanova, owner & driving force of The Free Dove has passed way. Our dove will now soar high absent from pain or illness. Rest in blissful peace dear. Know that you will be missed.
In her own words(copied from her profile):

I picked up this lovely gown at The Free Dove yesterday. Over the years I’ve picked up many, many items from the place. I couldn’t even calculate how much money I’d have spent on clothing and other items if I hadn’t gotten all of it from The Free Dove. You will need to join the free group to pick up any of the items.
