Weekend Special

A Quick Escape

I was in the mood for a bit of warm weather.  I’ve been traipsing through the snow all day in RL, and though it was refreshing and quite lovely, I now need to warm up in some far-flung sunny clime!

In the Miix

Miix Event is in full swing, complete with some fun free gifts to be had for members of their free to join group.  All you have to do is activate your tag and look for the cardboard boxes lying around the event.  You’ll note the balloons tied to them so they’re a bit easier to find.  I picked up this cute top and skirt by FurtaCor (sized for Maitreya) as one of the gifts.  It comes with an extensive HUD with different colours and textures to mix and match your look.  You’ll also find plenty of other gifts too, including for the gents – so tell the men in your life too!  Miix Event is running until January 20th!

Hello again, FabFree Readers. As the title of my missive here indicates, it is indeed, a happy weekend. As many of you know, one long running Grid wide sale is the 60L Happy Weekend Sale. And as such, there are several very nice offerings for the gentlemen of Second Life.

One of the nicest deals is from Chuck Size’s Calvin Turtleneck. Extremely well designed and built it is quickly becoming one of my favorite pieces. There are 5 colors in the 60L sale and even more in the regularly priced fatpack. One other note, the Calvin comes in two versions of each size. One with a higher waist one with a lower for various styles of trousers.

The 60L Happy Weekend Sale, of course, runs through the weekend however many venders leave the sale up for a few days. But don’t count on it, sales can be fleeting things so don’t let this one slip away.

Jungle Peace

I’m searching for peace in a jungle. Not sure I can find peace there but I know I can find solitude. It probably won’t be quiet either, come to think of it. Why the hell am I here? It’s not like I’m hunting down Tarzan or anything like that. Somehow it made sense for a brief moment. While many of you are tightly held in the grip of frigid winter weather going to a jungle sounds like a good plan. I’ve never heard of anyone freezing in a jungle. Have you?

It’s a New Year

Belle Epoque is at it again with another store hunt. That’s always great news. You don’t need the store group to participate in the New Year’s Hunt and each item costs $10L. I’ve got the totally stunning Jemina dress (#2 on the hunt key below) on today. If you’re a regular reader you know that I love animal prints. While I didn’t grab every item on the hunt this one called out to me. I’m just happy the dress ties are done already. Otherwise I’d have to be a contortionist to tie them all. Maybe searching for Tarzan isn’t such a bad plan. I bet Jane never wore a dress like this. Anyhoo, Jemina is sized for Ebody, Legacy, and Maitreya.

I Got New Shoes Too!

The other day one of our FabFree members put out a call in group chat for folks to slap the MM boards & check the lucky letters at Tooty Fruity. It was a fruitful trip as I slapped them all and got several cool items from both after joining the free group. I’m wearing one of the items today; the Zori heels. They fit Belleza, Legacy, & Maitreya. Included is an eight texture/color change hud.
