It’s been a long while since we’ve done a FabFree Designer Friday post, but I figured it was time to bring this lovely series back. You may remember this was a series of posts that Pru led that featured a FabFree Designer on Fridays. We have decided to reboot the series, but call it “FabFree Designer Features”, so you will now see them pop up throughout the week on the blog now and then!

Featuring…

Today’s featured designer is Shanti. Shanti has brought cute Bohemian styles for women to the grid since November 2012. The store is celebrating their 10 Year Anniversary later this year. Shanti is created by Arielle Jishnu, one of our very own FabFree contributors.

FabFree Group Gift

Other Freebie Groups’ Gifts

Shanti also has a number of other great gifts out at the moment. Shanti swaps out these freebie groups’ gifts every couple of months. These are the current gifts.

• • They also have a Third Life group gift out called the Creola skirt. The Third Life group currently costs 10L to join.

• • They also have a Mesh Body Friends group gift, which is the cute hot cocoa and marshmallows outfit shown below, called “Hammy Kawaii Outfit”. The Mesh Body Friends group is free to join.

Gift for Picks

If you head upstairs, you can grab Shanti‘s Gift for Picks item as well. The current gift is the Valentine Bohemian Dress. To get the gift for picks gifts, you just add the store to your picks and come back in 48 hours to pick up the gift. Once you are on the picks system, you can come get all the picks gifts. I’ve seen Shanti‘s picks board change quite frequently. They also have a lot of lucky boards that rotate, and these are free for all to play. Store Group & Other Gifts

Shanti has a VIP group that costs 99L to join. Their current group gift for the month of May are these “Chunky Boots”, and they have past months’ gifts out as well. You get a 100L gift card every month as a VIP group member, as well as 50% off new releases.

Time for Flowers

It’s that time of year. Spring has sprung and summer is near. The beautiful colors of spring flowers never fails to brighten my days. Keeping them alive in the summer heat is another matter but we’ll discuss it later when I’m relaxing on the beach one day.

One of the SL lessons I learned early on is that hunts are an economical way to add to your SL closet (and garage, shed, dressers, etc).  Plus you discover new designers and places. When I saw the Flower’s Time Hunt 3 was starting up I just knew there would be wonderful prizes (click the link for hints & prize pics). It ends on May 31st. As I have posted in the past this is another hunt to benefit the Harambee Gwassi Project so all hunt items cost a whopping $3L. It’s a really small price to pay for the goodies you can find.

When I started writing posts for our FREE to join Fabulously Free in SL group I was introduced to Telsiope’s Couture. Now I regularly visit the shop to check out new offers. I have never been disappointed with anything from the shop and commend the owners/designers for participating in fundraising hunts.

Lupi is her name and she is gorgeous! Doesn’t it scream spring? The texture is perfect for the season. Nice touches are the halter type spaghetti straps and the cut outs at the waist making it a flattering fit. Included is a hud with 16 different colors/textures so you can go crazy playing with it.

The FabFree Mesh Body & Head Listing May 2022 NEW Update!

The FabFree Mesh Body & Head Listing has undergone a major update this month! We have a host of new free and cheap mesh bodies and heads to share with you all. Please go here to access the list.

Some of the major updates in this post include:

• The free Rebirth head.
• The free Peach Mesh Body.
• The 1L Katherine Body & Head with a nice 1L shape to match it.
• Free and cheap mesh heads from Boataom.
• 12 bento mesh head updates for male and female heads from Ca’lum
• Several other items have also been added. All other recent additions have (New!) next to them.
• Note that some heads that were previously in the “limited” section have been added to the permanent section, as they appear to be staying for an extended period of time. These items include the free Kalhene Head, the free Fiore Head, and the TeleportHub group gift head from Altamura. Just look under “Female Mesh Heads” to find those heads in the The FabFree Mesh Body & Head Listing.
• I have also re-ordered the female mesh bodies section to place some of the most popular free mesh bodies near the top of the page for each access. For example, readers were having trouble finding the Lucybody Atenea body on the The FabFree Mesh Body & Head Listing, so it has been moved to the top on the “Female Mesh Bodies” section.
• The “Fantasy Mesh Heads & Avatars” section has also been updated, and there are additions added there, including a new free avatar and a free Mermaid tail.
• Finally, landmarks have been cross-checked and bodies and heads no longer available have been removed from the page.

New Categories

Another major change to the The FabFree Mesh Body & Head Listing is that non-human mesh heads, bodies, and avatars have now been included in the listing. Here are the following sections which have been added which are totally new:

• First off, there is a new section titled “Anime Mesh Heads & Bodies” for both male and female avatars.
• There is now a section called “Anthro (“Furry”) Mesh Bodies & Heads”. This is where you will find “furry” mesh heads and bodies. Other furry avatar parts are added below this section. 32 free and 1L items have been added to this category, so I hope you enjoy this major update!
• Another category added to the listing is “Animal Mesh Avatars”. For those that prefer to explore the grid as an animal, I wanted to make the information accessible to get a mesh avatar in that form. Note that some of the animals are bipedal and have human-like characteristics. I placed anything that looked like an animal into this category.
• Finally, there is a new section called “Other Full Mesh Avatars”. Full mesh avatars that do not fit in the other categories are placed here. Right now, you will find a 1L Kermit the Frog mesh avatar there and “Sqaid Game” mesh avatars from Croquis there.

Freebie Etiquette Reminder

I wanted to send a reminder about the listing. The purpose of this listing is to provide information about free and under 75L mesh bodies that are available. I do not presently test every body and head, although I do grab them for testing later and I have tested a lot of the products in the past. I do research about what sizes the bodies fit, and I am lucky to know a number of people who test bodies regularly and provide information to me about sizing and other features these products have. Although I used to test every mesh body and head that came out, I usually do not have time to test each new one that comes out because of my commitment to blogging for FabFree.

Further, the purpose of the page is not to review the mesh bodies and heads. We do not rank or provide commentary on the quality of the bodies and heads on the page. Some of the FabFree bloggers have written blog posts about the mesh bodies and heads, and their posts are linked to individual items on the The FabFree Mesh Body & Head Listing. Please do not send me messages complaining about the products, as I have received these types of messages about the bodies and heads in the past. Sending Listing Updates!

Finally, if you have any additions to the page to add, please reach out! I am always happy to receive messages and collaborate with those who have new information. Heyya FabFam! I don’t know about ya’ll but I have to give a huge shout out to the generous Designers who not only have a Group and regular group gifts… but also put the past group gifts up for us . Especially the designers who have regular monthly gifts and specials. I miss a lot of good stuff a lot of the time. So when it comes to awesome designers like Wicca’s Originals… I love popping into their “past Gifts and Outlet” section. Cause I never know what I’m going to find.

Like this adorbs little set ‘Sarah’. The top, shorts and belt are all one piece for quick dressing and just look at that neckline… talk about plunge!  Now Wicca’s Originals group has a fee of 99L to join. But if you take a look at all the past gifts available plus the monthly gifts and specials… it’s worth the cost.

When you pop into the store, just look for the little teleport disc on the floor that will take you to the Past Gifts room and the Outlet. Then you’re ready to fill your closet!
