Time to do a bit of random wandering by myself today. Some days I just need a bit of peace and quiet so that I can face the onslaught of humans who generally clamour for my attention. So, off to an art gallery I go to ponder over the meaning of modern art. Full disclosure, I am not a modern art kind of gal. I’m all about the Botticellis and Waterhouses of the world, but sometimes…I head towards the modern art section if I need a giggle. I’m sorry to all the aficionados out there, but I can’t keep a straight face when someone puts a chain link fence in a museum and tells me I need to seek it’s deeper meaning. But…I will have a private chuckle. 😉

If you are into board games, take a look at ‘Modern Art’ . A fun game about paintings, the buying and selling and value of each at the end as determined by the market. Good for a giggle too.

Wow.. This is really depressing. As an artist I can’t help feel really let down, especially by someone who spends their time in a world where one can do or be just about anything. So, why limit yourself on being only realistic? I guess that’s something I’ll never understand about SL… And honestly it hurts because I know I’m just going to be laughed at.

I didn’t really mean it in a derogatory way to be fair, however the great thing about the world is that everyone has different tastes and opinions. I’m not a modern art kind of gal, though there are a huge amount of people who are. Just like I hate tomatoes, and dislike the colour puce. I’m sure there are things that I do that you would dislike or laugh at, and I’d probably just laugh along with you, because in essence we’re all just silly people who often take ourselves far too seriously.
If I can’t laugh at a giant hamburger, then there surely is something wrong with the world.
