“Don’t be into trends. Don’t make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way to live.”

Gianni Versace

Hello again my fab free fam!

How do you decide what to wear?  Do you try to fit in and wear things that other people wear, or approve of, or do you do your own thing?  Do you dress according to mood?  Or maybe you have a system that helps you decide?

Me, I’ve always done my own thing, both in sl and rl.  It hasn’t always been the easiest to deal with (rl!) but I don’t have the ability to be anything but myself.  I’m very VERY bad at faking it.  What you see is what you get folks!  Now, in sl, we have a LOT more fashion choices than in rl.  I mean gosh I could NEVER fit all my sl clothing into my rl closet!  Nor would it all look as stunning on me as it does on my lovely sl avatar.  However, my choices are the same.  As I’ve said before, I feel like a sort of bohemian version of Elle Woods (Legally Blonde), while I was a tomboy most of my life and still mostly am, there is that part of me that lonnnnggggssssss to be girly but isn’t quite sure how to do it!  lol  I lost my mom at an early age and had no other female role models, so I became sort of a guys girl.   Many of my closest rl friends are guys and I find them easier to hang with than other girls, for the most part.  I’m not sure I ever properly learned how to “girl”.  lol  But I digress!  (I go off on side tangents, sorry  lol) My choices in both worlds reflect the bohemian, artsy, PINK-ishness, quirky soul that I am.  I don’t care if its in style, if I love it, I wear it.  Also unicorns.  anything & everything with unicorns.

As you can see, today I have chosen an adorable complete outfit from Bad Rabbit.  It was a free gift with no group required.  This outfit comes with everything you see here, dress and matching boots.  It has a HUD that gives 5 texture choices for the dress and five matching choices for the boots.  There was a pink choice for it but I chose blue cause I don’t want y’all to get crazy at me!  lol!

The dress comes in:

  • Tonic – Minimizer, Fine, Curvy
  • Star
  • Hourglass
  • Signature
  • Maitreya & Maitreya Petite
  • Kupra – Low, Original, Bimbo
  • Ebpdy – Classic, Curvy
  • Belleza – Isis, Freya
  • Altamura

The boots come in:

  • Physique
  • Hourglass
  • Maitreya
  • Venus
  • Isis
  • Freya

Since this got to be a rather long-ish post (!!), I shall wrap up here and see you next time lovelies, when I show you a great look for a casual night out!

Cheers to us saving the world, one outfit at a time,

❤ Arielle

  1. This post sounds so familiar! In RL, I tend to follow an outfit formula: Jeans + t-shirt or blouse + cardigan or hoodie + sneakers or ballet flats = Dressed. I only wear a dress if I need to be dressed up or am feeling especially feminine. As a genderflux/genderfluid (still figuring that out) person, that works pretty well. In SL, I love the variety of styles, patterns, and colors (I LOVE HUDS), that I can change my body at will, and definitely dress according to how I’m feeling that day.
