A Quiet Moment

Hello lovelies!

Hope everyone is doing well!  Sl and Rl have been keeping me extra busy the last few days and so I needed some quiet time at my little sl home.  Tara and I spent some time on the sunny porch just watching the clouds go by.  It was just what I needed!  Now that I am all rejuvenated, let me share with you what I wore during my relaxing time with Tee (my nickname for Tara).

This outfit made me feel sooo happy, I love that the colors just remind me of springtime.

Patchwork

Hey There, FabFree! This is gonna be a fast one cause we don’t have much time to grab this Hunt prize!

I almost skipped this outfit. I do like the items at Feyline Fashions but they are old school Second Life – Mesh and Prims. While this isn’t a deal breaker for me… sometimes folks expect the latest and Meshy-est. But I thought ‘what the heck?’ I have a ton of friends on the grid who still rock their old school non mesh system bodies so why not!

This is ‘Patchwork Mary” from Feyline Fashions and it’s the 3L Hunt prize for the Multicolor Hunt.  And this is old school. The dress is rigged Mesh while the scarf and the sleeve “cuffs” are prims. But as you can see they are just beautifully made. I love the Boho patchwork skirt, it has such a happy hippy vibe! The outfit come with a backpack filled with a quill, parchment and some tasty apples for a snack. This is a great set for RP and it will be showing up for my character soon. There is a matching men’s outfit in the prize too. 

The one drawback…. The Hunt ends on Sunday the 31st! So get out there this weekend!

That Magic Bean Juice

I was in one of those moods where I needed coffee.  It doesn’t happen that often, honestly!  I’m a tried and true tea girl (Tea, Earl Grey, Hot is my jam).  But once in a while, I need a bit of that magic bean juice to get my synapses firing.  It was late, so I nipped out to the coffee shop down the street, got an iced something or other (it was 95% sugar, obvs), and now I feel like I can attack a full hour of inventory sorting again!

Sparkle and Shine

Hey FabFree Folks!  So, after I did the pictures for yesterday’s blog, I wandered around for the rest of the day in my fabulous gown. It was just like the old days back when I first joined the Grid… all ballgowns all the time! Which got me thinking it might be fun to do a few days worth of gowns. Cause… why not?

One of the oldest designers for gorgeous evening wear is Tiffany Design. And they did not disappoint. I found several lovely gowns up on their “No group needed” wall. Tiffany Designs has two groups: one paid and one free. Both groups have different gifts and lucky chairs available. But there is a small selection of no group needed gifts! You’ll be asked to pay 1L but it’s immediately refunded.

Sarcasm

Alright Fab Free’rs, I have to say I really am not in to the whole concept of a New Year resolution. I’ve made them in the past, and struggled to keep up with them, and ultimately ended up feeling guilty or disappointed in myself if my resolution didn’t work out. I think we tend to put too much pressure on ourselves to become the best brightest shiny new version of ourselves just because it’s the start of a new trip around the sun. I am all for self betterment, I just think it has to happen in my/your own time.

For this post, this group gift hoodie top from ZFG (Zero F*cks Given) just really summed up the concept of a New Year resolution for me. These glasses. Moons, stars, oversized lenses, these glasses from Zombie Suicide called out to me “Pru, you must take us home with you…”. Really, a must-have for me. They are the most recent group gift at Zombie Suicide, and the group has a 100 linden join fee. There are also past group gifts available. This gift has a color change hud as well that allows you to change the color of the frames, and the moon/stars so you can match these babies with everything.

Alright, I wouldn’t go as far as to say that I am anti-Valentines Day, but it’s not my favorite.
