Heyya FabFree! I hope this wintery Monday is treating you well. Or this warm pleasant Monday is treating you well if you’re reading from the other side of the planet. 😉

Today I have some memories from the ‘olden days’ here on the Grid. When I first started Second Life… I wore nothing but ball gowns. I mean it. Everywhere. The fanciest, flexi-est gowns you’ve ever seen. I think because in real life, I never had a reason to wear some gorgeous gown dripping with jewels and lace. Then I discovered silks… and that’s a story for another time.  So … when I stumbled upon this fantastic designer, I was whisked away back to my early days and all those beautiful ball gowns.

This stunning gown is the ‘Princess Vivian’ from Celestina’s Weddings. I just can’t get over how lovely this dress is. The details are extraordinary. From the lace overlay to the tiny buttons on the back to the shimmer on the silk skirt and bustle. Just perfect! Honestly, this is hands down the prettiest gown I’ve ever owned in Second Life. 

And… I was able to pick it up for free. I know, right!? This dress is the last gift on Celestina’s Weddings advent calendar for 2020. You do need to be a group member but as of right now, that’s a free to join group. All of the past gifts are still available. Some are still free and some are priced at 25L. I imagine this gown and all the gifts will eventually be priced at 25L too. So… I don’t know how long this breath taking gown will be free for group members. But even at 25L this is the deal of the year!

Choices

I was asking a friend last night:  are you a multicolour Christmas light person, or a warm white Christmas light person?  I sometimes think we all fall squarely into one category or another, but I’m quite likely wrong.  I’m usually the warm white lights person.  You know, all golden hued and classic…but then today I put these lights on and I was suddenly all about the riot of rainbow colours.   Ah, the beauty of choice!

Feeling Lucky

LSR have updated their immense wall of lucky letters again, adding three new lewks for the holidays.  I didn’t have to spend too much time waiting there until my letter came up – and I was quite pleased with what I got!  This cinched dress is a bit poufy, a bit tight, and entirely sexy.  PLUS the boots are included too!  Even if you don’t get one of the three new outfits, your letter will surely appear on one of the other bajillion boards on the wall.  Win-win!  The LSR group is currently 99L to join, and there are sooooo many gifts that’s it’s insanely worth joining.

Riot

The garland of lights heaped on my shoulders is a new group gift from Nanika.  They flash intermittently between different bright colours, and certainly give an aura of party to any room you walk into!
