Came for the Rides, Stayed for the Churros

Hi hi, have you ever been to an amusement park in Second Life? There’s been so many through the years, some of them are still around, some are long gone, but they can be pretty fun places, if not great places for pictures. Even this one, with it’s ghosts and many other spooky things.

I dropped by the other day by Gabriel and stumbled into a lot of goodies. There’s a whole section of 1L and 49L items, group gifts and free for everyone gifts. You will even see some little signs by some of the vendors where you can pick up some free shoes. A lot of what you will find is for male avatars, yet there are also accessories for everyone along with some unisex and female clothing items.

 

For other things you’ll see in this post, Maru Kado also has a lot of gifts (you will need to join their group for free to pick up most), from fun accessories to a selection of old booths for past editions of Japonica, one of which i’m using as a backdrop, tho of course they can be handy for many things more. And there’s also a hair from bonbon. You can pick it up for free if you belong to the group ( cost: 99L). It comes with a ton of colors and  both with the koala headband and without.

About the jackets:

You’ll see three different tops/jackets you can pick up for free at Gabriel, there’s no group join required. The three of them come in versions for both male and female avatars. Two of them come with swords as an accessory

How Far We’ve Come

Sometimes I think about how far SL has come in the (gasp) 9 years I’ve been hanging out in this crazy virtual world.  If you’ve been around SL for as long as me, think about all the stuff we used to wear!  Think about the blocky worlds we used to hang out in!  Our faces didn’t move, our hands didn’t move, but our hair sure did.  So when I stand in a sim as pretty as this one, wearing a dress as pretty as this one, I kind of smile a bit internally at the world we’ve all created together.

Ur Fave

I do love finding shops that are new to me, and Ur.Favorite.One (aka U.F.O.) certainly falls into that category.  They’ve got two pretty dresses (sized for Maitreya) out as group gifts for members of their free to join group.  One in a dusky red kind of hue that you can pick up in their shop, and a second one in mint you can grab on Marketplace for free if you don’t have a group spot you want to give up.  That works for me!

Hey there Fab Free’rs, happy Friday! In my experience I feel at my best when I take the time for some self-care. Tentacio wants us to be the best version of our Second Life selves with their “Healthy Life” décor set. While you’re at it, you can look the part with this cropped camo top by Chic Moda.
