There’s something very poetic about this umbrella by Lovely Alien. I love the idea of the sparkling stars that glimmer over your head. Isn’t it pretty? I got it for freeover at GachaLand. I joined the group for FREEat the landing point, and then took a walk about the event. Hello there Fab Free! I’ve been on the lookout for wintry menswear items to share with you all seeing as how that’s one of my New Year’s resolutions. Ripley told me about this awesome free denim jacket and hoodie and wouldn’t you know it? A certain female blogger beat me to it! This time, when I heard about the fantastic clearance sale going on over at Gabriel, I didn’t give her a chance to see if any of the dollarbies would fit her avatar. I sent her on a long walk with the pupster, and headed over to the shop myself to see what I could pick up.
Fisherman’s Knit Sweater
Another of my goals for 2019 is to do more fishing with (or without) man’s best friend. I’m still not so sure at all that Ripley is man’s best friend. First, he abandoned me to run off for an almost empty box of Ripley snacks, then he went and told Kat about MY denim jacket/hoodie. Anyway, I might not have a fishing pal, but I certainly have a thick, high neck sweater to ward off watery breezes. I really like the olive green and chunky knit on the sweater I scooped up at the Gabriel Clearance Sale. It set me back just one Linden dollar and is sure to become a chilly weather fave. Although the package didn’t include versions for mesh bodies, by adjusting the alpha layer on my Slink Physique body, I had no problem finding the right size for me.

Olive Chinos
While grabbing the High Neck Sweater, I spotted a pair of olive Chinos out of the corner of my eye, and thought they’d be a perfect match for my new fishing top. Once again, there was no version for mesh avatars in the package, but since these pants were on sale for just 1 Linden dollar, I decided to give them a go. As you can tell from my photo, after adjusting the alpha layer on my mesh body, they worked out swimmingly. Ugh, maybe I should have chosen a different descriptor. Who wants to think of swimming when you are going fishing? I’ll just test my luck, I guess. 😉

What Fishing Trip Would Be Complete Without Boat Shoes?
The answer would be not many. Gabriel had me covered, again for just a 1 Linden dollar investment. At the Clearance Sale, you can pick up this handy set of footwear in multiple hues, all for just 1 Linden dollar each. I’m wearing the Camel colored set, but you can also pick up similar models in blue, red and red brown shades. They were not designed for mesh body feet, but since they could be repositioned, I was easily able to get them to fit just right, without having to use the alpha layer.
I’m sure there will be more posts featuring items from the Clearance Sales over at Gabriel, I happened to spot a familiar blogger there shopping, and I picked up a few more items myself. Until next time, happy shopping!
