Everyone Loves a Scandal

The Ears – I want to start by saying that I was not sure what to expect from these mesh ears by Pumec. Now that I have tried them for myself, I highly recommend them. This set of ears is a current group gift at Pumec. They include a color change hud with several preset skintones, and the ability to adjust the skintone to match your skin. There are also a few color options for the piercings. They are also able to be sized using the same hud. The Pumec group has a join fee of 299 linden. I Want It Painted Black

Hello Fabulouses!  Ripley and I dusted off his tracking harness over the weekend, and set to work on the trail of the Paint It Black Hunt.  The prizes in this hunt cost just 5L each, and are inspired by The Rolling Stones, Rock N Roll, Grunge, Metal, Alt Music, Goth Music, and Rockabilly.  Since the hunt runs through February 28th, you still have plenty of time to track down some prizes for yourself.

My adorable strapless mini dress from MishMash Fusion took us a *long* time to locate, but it sure was worth the investment of time and the 5L price tag.  With a richly textured fabric, ruffled skirt, and figure hugging fit, this frock is a hot little number!  I love the way it leaves your shoulders bare and allows a generous glimpse of your legs.

I’m in the Mood 

Our second stop on the hunt path was The Little Bat where we quickly located the unisex Mood Necklace.  When I was in school, mood jewelry was *the* item all the girls wore, and I have to admit, I still find the changing tint of the gemstones fascinating.  The circular pendant of this necklace only alters when you adjust the hue using the included 14 texture HUD.  I opted for a monochromatic color scheme for my ensemble tonight, so I kept the original black tone, but could have easily chosen an alternate shade.  For just 5L and the small amount of time spent searching, I came away with a versatile piece of jewelry that will coordinate with a variety of outfits.

New Locks

My up-swept pony hairstyle is the latest free group gift for members of the FABIA Mesh Hair store.  The Valentines style comes with a fat pack of colors including black and white, browns, blonde, red, and “unnatural” HUDs.  It features wispy side bangs that frame your face beautifully.  To pick up this item, you must be a member of the FABIA Mesh Hair group, which has a 100L join fee, but there are past group gifts still available, so you can get several new haircut styles for the fee.

The long weekend passed by so quickly in RL.  After the three days off, my pantry is sorted, completely organized in bins, and labeled.  I sure hope I can keep it that way!  If only my SL inventory was as organized.  Thank goodness for the search feature, otherwise I might never find things in there! Is it just me, or are Love and I channeling the same wavelength today?  Perhaps it’s because we both have a day off (Happy Family Day btw), or maybe we’re just yearning for some peace and tranquility (a little warmth wouldn’t go amiss either).  Whatever it is, it’s completely FREE!

At Ajuda SL Brasil you’ll find a whole building of freebies for everyone, literally tons of items priced at 0L – donated by different designers across the grid and I took a look down there today to see if there was anything my speed!  I found that one of my faves, Petite Mort has a few things there and picked up this cute Cream Embroidered Peasant Blouse.  Seriously, take a few minutes to check out the freebie building there as I am sure you’ll find something you can use!  This blouse comes in XXS-L mesh sizes and includes an alpha layer for those on the system body.

I came across a new to me store this weekend called Aseriz and they have a couple of cute accessory group gifts with a 5L group join fee.  I picked up The Chamomile Hair Wreath and Bracelet Set, which was one of the group gifts, and it paired perfectly with my flower child look.  These items are not resize, however you can move them around with edit, and they happened to be a good fit on me.
