Fab Free Designer Friday – 11/17/2017 – roro

Hello There Fab Free’rs! Today has been the longest Friday ever! Okay maybe not, but it sure felt that way for me. I am so glad to be here with you sharing this week’s Designer Friday post. Today I get to talk about a little shop called roro.  This shop is an eclectic ladies clothing shop with a playful spin on what could be considered bohemian style. Along with the unique clothing style, you’ll also find nail appliers, jewelry, and accessories at roro.

Don’t let the size of the roro shop fool you, there’s lots of shopping to be done. Also there are many opportunities for FREE and inexpensive items. The roro landing point places you near the “Gift” section and the Information area of the shop. There are a couple of Lucky Letter boards, and a Night Prize board, all of which are open for everyone to play. No group is needed. Also in this same area are a ton of inexpensive items. Most of what I saw in this “Gift” area at roro ranged in cost from just 1 linden to 10 linden in cost. Do not forget to check out the desk in the little information corner of the roro shop.

It’s in that little corner where you’ll not only find the info about current and upcoming hunts and events happening at roro, you’ll find the FREE and Exclusive gift for Fabulously Free in SL group members. This bright and colorful skirt is FREE to all Fabulously Free in SL group members. There are a few additional gifts for other groups in this area also. My Own World

Panic Mode

I woke up this morning with a touch of “holiday panic.” You know, that feeling you get when the holidays are creeping up on you waaaay too fast. Your heart starts racing, you feel like you can’t breathe… you break out in a cold sweat. Yeah. It seems like summer was just starting… and now it’s almost Thanksgiving. 😮

I headed out in search of a quiet place to collect my thoughts and wound up on the couch at a coffee bar on the Oh Deer sim. A couple of lattes and some smooth jazz later, I think I might be kinda-sorta-maybe ready to tackle the holidays.

Or maybe I’ll just start with a turkey and see how it goes.

A Sweater and Leather

Before running off in a coffee panic, I managed to get myself dressed in the latest group gift from Ghee. The Ombre Sweater and Leather Pants duo come in the following sizes:

A texture-change HUD is included so you can choose from brown, black, burgundy, and blue ombre for the sweater, and the same colors (without the ombre) for the pants.

Since the sweater is cropped, and I was cold thanks to the snow and all, I added a tank top underneath. I picked up the Enora tanks by Edenia on the Marketplace for 1L and used the included appliers for Maitreya. Check out Pru’s post HERE to see what they look like without a sweater.

To “top” things off, I added a cute hat. You can pick up this derby – as well as a baseball cap, felt hat, and Homburg hat – as a free gift from ICONIC at HairOLogy. I didn’t realize how pretty it was until I turned on my windlight and saw the lovely textures!

Each hat comes with a HUD containing several colors (varies by hat), and all are resizeable from the HUD. I’m sure they would also look great on the guys.

Ok, now that I’m all latte’d up, I think I’m ready to brave Costco to do some shopping. Until next time! 😀

Not Ready for Cold Weather

Not ready for cold weather…

I’m not ready for cold weather. It got nippy here where I live and then the weather warmed up yesterday and it prompted me to look for warmer clothes in Second Life too. So I was really pleased when I saw that Kom‘s November group gift was this really pretty (and versatile) short skirt. It comes in all your favorite body sizes and includes a color change hud with 7 colors to choose from as well. I was partial to this teal color which I paired with a blueberry gift top that I blogged a while back that you can now get on the marketplace for just 1L.

Something pretty

I wanted a little something extra to go with my outfit so I stopped by The Forge to see what was available. Sometimes in-store gachas hold sweet surprises. I discovered the Boadicea’s Necklaces and really liked the celtic look and fine detailing on them. I gave the 50L gacha a spin and pulled one of the commons in “rust” which matched my outfit very nicely. The rares were quite beautiful as well and would be worth a few extra pulls to try to nab one at just 50L per spin.

Hey there Fab Friends!  The other day, when I posted about a 60L special at Siss Boom, I mentioned that I was actually going in to pick up the new group gift!

Hello Fabulouses, and Happy Friday at last!  Here I am enjoying one final moment at the shore (Ripley is off chasing gulls) before the shopping and prep work for Thanksgiving begin.  It sure would be nice to spend the whole weekend here at NorderNey, curled up on the beach with a pile of books.  Someday, maybe!

The poor seagulls……  The pupster has been having the time of his life chasing them up and down the surf while I tried to capture the perfect picture.  One feathered fellow just caught my eye, and I could tell he was getting pretty fed up with Rip’s antics.  It’s time for mission “Gull Rescue” to swing into operation.  Until my next post, happy shopping!
