Mooving on

Don’t wanna jinx it.

Does anyone remember those cartoon shorts with this poor little character on board a leaky ship, trying desperately to plug up the holes as more and more leaks spring up? Yeah, I guess one of the downsides of having two lives is that you’re kinda left scrambling when they decide to simultaneously blow up on you. Recently, the place I’ve been renting at closed down (there goes my recarpeting project), leaving me to decide if I wanted to live a nomadic Second Life again or find a new place. It was the latter for me, though after trying to wrangle several pieces of furniture and animals into good behavior I was starting to wish I had settled on the former before putting in the downpayment. But you know what they say about silver linings right? Amidst rogue picture frames, feathers and Commander being Commander, thanks to SL’s generous designers I managed to put this cute (inexpensive) outfit together.

For your active lifestyle

Freedom of movement if definitely a must for when you’re putting up the treehouse that rezzed upside down for some reason or just trying to stop your Polar Bear from eating the owls. The Zodiac Glitter tanks from Baby Monkey is just the right answer to these oddly specific problems and is currently one of many group gifts sitting on their main store wall. Even if you’re not currently being plagued by moving in woes, these tanks will prove to be a great addition to your virtual wardrobe. Coming in basic black, the Zodiac Glitter thanks feature each of the twelve zodiac symbols respectively and while I’m wearing the top with my own astrological symbol in the picture I’m rather tempted to try on the others as they come in a wide variety of glittery, eye-popping colors. These tanks are made for both Classic and Mesh avatars alike as the gift package includes the standard shirt layer as well as Maitreya, Belleza, Slink and Omega appliers. Baby Monkey has a 20L join fee but I feel that the regular, high-quality gifts are well worth it. As stated above the Zodiac Glitter tanks are just one of many gifts currently available so go and get your grab on.

Flowery

Shopping on the Marketplace has become quite a habit of mine recently and on my last foray, I discovered these pretty pair of shorts from LS Diamond that are just perfect for slouchy, casual days. There was no resisting the flower, pastel print of these shorts and I appreciated the little detail of the drawstring as well. These shorts come in five standard mesh sizes (XXS-L) with an alpha layer as well as sizes for Belleza (Isis, Venus, Freya), Slink (Hourglass, Physique), TMP and Maitreya mesh bodies. Pull your browser up and head to the LS Diamond marketplace store to get your pair of shorts for 1L. While you’re there, go ahead and grab another great looking dollarbie that’s available at the store as well.

A discovery

Making new discoveries in Second Life have never lost their novelty for me and one such discovery is Aura Design. The Lale fitted mesh hairstyle that I’m wearing in the picture is the past Christmas gift that the store has out for the Maitreya Gifts, Sales and News group. This elegant half up do comes together with a hud of fifteen gorgeous colors and is yours for free with the Maitreya Gifts, Sales and News group tag. The group itself is free to join so what are you waiting for if you have a group slot available that needs filling?

And that’s a wrap. I’m going to leave this right here:

Leek or Leak

Because it took me an embarrassingly long time trying to figure out if it was leak or leek. Oy.
