Half-Hearted…

As the dreaded happy Valentine’s season fast approaches, we wanted to show off his and her matching shirts to kick off this horrible joyous holiday. I wanted to wear the “I’m With Stupid” matching shirts, but Love refused to put on the “Stupid” shirt and it didn’t come in my size… so… we are both wearing the I ❤ My Girl/I ❤ My Boy shirts from AsHmOoT. These shirts are FREE to AsHmOoT members and the group is FREE to join. Get your special friend to wear it with you, even if you only care just a half a heart. In case you hadn’t noticed, Love is on my shoulders, off the ground, in the air…. Love is IN the air… GET IT… GET.IT??  <cricket sounds>  So much for that joke working…. I’ve been told that SLife is all about balance (and someone needs to quit wiggling around on my shoulders if she wants me to keep MY balance). The way she keeps her balance is to pretend her shirt says I ❤ My Dog. 🐕

Off Like A Bolt Of Lightening

Hi there Fabulous Readers! After a long work day, I returned home to a very anxious pup needing a walk, so off we went!  Like they say – no rest for the wicked.

A Leisurely Evening Walk With Lightening

Things on our walk were going along quite nicely, which was a relief because sometimes Lightening (yes, that’s his name) is just a beast to control when something suits his fancy… like running rabbits, or teasing cats to chase.  The weather was calm, and the sun kept us warm.  We leisurely strolled along the path and I was just thinking how relaxing this walk really was when the pleasant aroma of rich chocolate and marshmallows began to fill the air.   I really should have known better than to close my eyes, and inhale the delicious attack on my senses, because mid sniff…  he also caught a wiff, and was OFF like…  well the bolt of lightening he is –  dragging the leash behind him.

The 100 Meter Dash

I finally did catch up with him at the hot cocoa stand that smelled way too good for either of us to pass up.   I wasn’t about to risk breaking a heel running in my brand new Molly Boots that I had just picked up at Kustom9 over the weekend, and really there was no question where he was going.   I am not sure who smelled it first, me or him, but we were both happy to take a little break.  Now of course…  he can’t have cocoa, but he was happy for his very own fresh cup of water after that 100  meter dash he had just done.
