Far Better Things Ahead

Happy New Year, Fabulouses!  After reading about Love and Carson’s New Year’s Eve mis-adventures {HERE}, {HERE}, and {HERE}, I gained a new appreciation for the quiet evening I spent in the company of my canine pal, Ripley.   No last minute trip to the dog park with his pals to share a few Ripley snacks, no lampshade on his head, just a peaceful stroll through The Winter Forest sim, contemplating the big changes we went through in 2016, and anticipating better days ahead in 2017.

Ringing in the New With Style

A Little Bling

It must have been my lucky day, because after the IM from Astrid, my hound with a nose for bargains led me over to Mandala Jewelry’s Marketplace store.  I was thrilled to notice the many S-A-L-E items.  I couldn’t help but dally over the 12 days of savings, 50% off, and 70% off specials.  Finally settling on antique gold, Tukemono double hoop earrings for only 37L (50% off… woot!  woot!) , I checked out, and crossed my fingers, hoping for a perfect match to the trim and bow on my beautiful dress.  Ta-da!  The shimmering baubles wonderfully accessorized my outfit, providing a touch of simple elegance.

My Day Just Kept Getting Better

While I was drooling over pondering the many bargains at Mandala Jewelry’s sale, a group notice popped up on my screen announcing a gift from Sentinus Design.  Gold-accented heels with an eye-popping 8 texture options.  Was I interested in the Casandra high heel shoes?  You bet!  Best of all, the group is completely free to join.  In the pose for my main photo, my shoes are completely concealed by the hemline of my gown, so I’ve included the close up photo to showcase the design of my newest footwear.  With softly polished leather, and gleaming golden chain accents, these beauties glammed up my feet in style.  I selected the teal version to complement my dress, but you also have 7 other texture options to choose from.  In addition to the Casandra heels, group members can also pick up 18 (no, that is not a typo) other free gifts.  Time for another happy dance!

If Only…

So, my loyal canine companion and I shared a wonderful New Year’s Eve together.  The only down side of the whole story is he didn’t bring me breakfast in bed the next morning.  Just deep brown, liquid chocolate eyes, and a cold, wet nose, demanding a walk in the frosty, pre-dawn air.  Maybe Love does have the right idea after all…  I wonder how hard it would be to train an old dog to whip up breakfast as a new trick?  Until next time, wonderful readers, happy shopping!
