A Mantra for the Weekend

Those lovely long gone weekends.

Sometimes I can’t believe how fast those weekends zip by. It almost always seems that I blink and somehow teleported myself into another Monday. Hmm…I hope that isn’t some sort of hidden superpower manifesting itself but thankfully though I managed to make last weekend fruitful but getting into some hunts I’ve been meaning to do. Ever since I saw Pru’s post {HERE} about a pair of lovely and free boots from Perch, completing the Women Only Hunt 2 quickly made it’s way up to the top of my bucket list. This free hunt runs until the 24th of this month and there is a nifty hunt hud that you can pick up at the organizer’s main office which makes teleporting from store to store and getting hunt hints a breeze. Since I’m behind (what else is new yeah?) and am going to try my hand at doing a few hunts at once this really came in handy!

Back to knitwear.

In these chilly months, I’ve really come to miss my T-Shirts with their quirky quotes so opening up the hunt prize from American Bazaar and finding this oversized knit sweater was really a pleasant surprise. Not only is this comfy find well made and textured, I was also tickled by the caption on the front. Netflix Nutella and Naps…it’s good to have plans for next weekend don’t you think? This oversized sweater comes in five standard mesh sizing (XS-XL) with a good alpha layer to keep things nice and fitted. Just hunt out the snowflake at American Bazaar and this cozy addition to your wardrobe can be yours for free.

The thing about leggings…

Is that I can’t seem to get enough of them this season, especially the ones with the pretty prints and eye-catching colors. It’s a good thing then that the Women Only Hunt prize at Boutique #187 yielded up the Xmas knit beige leggings. Not only will these keep me warm while out on a jaunt on a snowy sim, the festive prints, and vivid colors certainly put me in a jolly mood. The Xmas leggings come in a system pants layer for those with a classic body and also a great hud that incorporates appliers for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink mesh bodies as well as mesh bodies compatible with the Omega system. It’s a great space saver where inventory is concerned so hunt out that snowflake and get your leggings for free.

In this post {HERE} I mentioned two new group gifts from the Truth VIP group and pictured is the second style. While I don’t own a great many short hairstyles, I fell in love with the Irenka hairdo straightaway thanks to it’s casual, wavy style. That tousled look is perfectly paired up with the beanie and not only will you get a hud to play around with beanie customization you’ll also get the option for added bangs. Two of my favorite skin stores are participating in the Women Only Hunt 2 and one of those is WoW Skins. While hunting I noticed that they had their December group gift out and I immediately picked it up as well. I’ve always adored the glossiness of the skins from this merchant and December’s group gift, Janette, didn’t disappoint. The subtle blush on the skin is so very pretty and really brings to mind how flushed skin looks when you’ve been out in the chill. December’s group gift consists of the Janette classic skin in Tan with cleavage/no cleavage options as well as Catwa and Omega appliers. As soon as I saw that Mesange was participating in the Women Only Hunt 2 I thought, well there goes my decision to stick to one eye color. I’ve really enjoyed wearing the expressive eyes from this merchant and their Women Only Hunt 2 prize is no different. The aptly named Ice Dream Eyes fits in perfectly for this snowy season and if you’re into role playing as supernatural creatures these frosty pair of eyes are something that you could wear all year round. The best thing about this hunt prize, aside from being free of course, is the fact that you’ll get not one but three different dreamy eye colors. Pictured are the blue pair but there are green and gray as well. In the prize package, you’ll receive for all three colors, system eyes, mesh eyes and a hud for the Genesis mesh head as well as the Omega hud for mesh heads compatible with that system.
