At The Beach, Checking Out The Waves!

Hello everyone, welcome to my last post as a staff member of Fab Free. I would regale you with the story of how, when I was a new resident over seven years ago, I relied on Fab Free to find great items to pick up, how I would eventually come to idolize Love to an embarrassing extent, how I revered Carson when he was a male blogger here, and how much I wanted to emulate them both. This blog has been more than a hobby; it was hugely important to me in both my first and second lives. Sadly, though, times do change. While my feelings towards Fab Free have not, I do need to step away from my dream job here in order to focus on other matters at hand.

Before I go, I have to tell you about a few fantastic items. The great Roughnecks T-Shirt shown above is available as a free group gift. It has been a long winter for me and the thought of donning a well-worn, soft cotton tee and shorts is irresistible. This free Group Gift Tee looks very much like a real world garment and is adorned with a cool biker image on both the front and the back. Inside the box is a wide range of versions including tucked, untucked, Mesh, Fitmesh and three different waist widths to help fit with a wide range of Mesh pants. Not only is this going to fit well but this Tee is going to look great with almost any pants you choose to wear with it. I was very impressed with everything included in this box.

The shorts I am wearing come from the unbelievably bountiful Dark Water Designs cart at the Spring Freshness At The Wash Cart Sale Event! Previously, the main item on it was featured by Astrid here, but there is so much more there that deserves a look! These Cargo Shorts in White Canvas look fantastic and inspired me to go seek out some sun. (A good thing too because in real life my legs were about that color). I love the way they look but I should caution you that finding the perfect shirt to wear with them is slightly more complicated since they seem to require a little extra width at the waist at the back. Luckily they look awesome if you go bare-chested too and the little extra work putting together an outfit with them is well worth the effort!

Also at the Dark Water Designs cart at the Spring Freshness At The Wash Cart Sale Event are these sharp looking polo shirts. My favorite was the Polo Shirt – Nautical package which contains that fun looking print shirt you see me chilling on the beach in. In addition to that design it comes with a hud that gives you two more textures to choose from, a bargain at only 10L! Inset in the picture are two examples of the Polo Shirt – Madras Colors package also available for only 10L. Along with a third color (light blue) included in the texture change hud, these polos are excellent Easter and spring-wear. All put together this was one of the best cart sale carts I have ever seen!

Oddity has a great item they are giving away as a free group gift that is perfect for us spring breakers. The -TopGun- Dark Glasses are sharp looking aviator style sunglasses. A classic eternally popular design, these sunglasses are a good pickup as you prepare to look cool for the coming spring and summer months. Well done Oddity, thank you!

It has been beyond fun serving all of you. In the end, that is what we do here at Fab Free, and that what all of us at here have in common. It doesn’t matter where we are, where we have been, or when we were here at this wonderful institution. What we do, we do out of love for all of you. I have re-launched my own blog and will continue posting there when time permits. I leave you with one final thought: Second Life is an amazing adventure if you open yourself to it and allow yourself to be carried away. The trick is finding what you love and focusing on that.
