Dreaming of Russia

Good evening Fabulous readers! I wanted to start off tonight by sending out a big thank you to Izzy Christenson for sending me the smoke and pink hoodie Alchemy Doges! She had been seeing my lonely Cream bulldog in my posts and thought he might like some company. I think she was right – he does look much happier now lol {hugs Izzy}!

A new round of Shiny Shabby opened up on the 20th with a super fun Russian theme. I have been, and been back a gazillion times for purchases from different designers across the grid. I imagine I’ll revisit again too lol because I have no control. Anyways… at the landing point you will find a new free group gift by LpD for Shiny Shabby inworld members (free to join). The Mermaid

Hi there Fab Free! I had so much fun styling this look that I’m just going to get right to it and tell you all about it. This “Ocean” toned skin from PixyStix is truly gorgeous on, I love looking at it. It also kind of reminds me of blue raspberry kool-aid, which is awesome! This fantasy skin is the FREE Hunt for Your Inner Slut prize at PixyStix. As always, Pixy was very generous with this gift, included with this skin are appliers for just about everything out there. Seriously, tons of appliers.

I’ve always liked the idea of mixing genres and styles to create a more unique look. I love mixing vintage and modern styles for example. This time I went with the fantasy look of the skin from PixyStix and added some modern clothing from Apple May Designs, and the jewelry is somewhere in between. AMD is participating in the Recolors of Spring Hunt. The hunt is a dollarbie hunt and there are several items in the AMD store. This silver metallic bandeau style top and matching skirt set is just one of the four total gifts for women. There are also two hunt prizes for the men. For just one linden this outfit is a steal! You can also find this dress in gold, and I am happy to tell you that this RSH prize includes several appliers, or it can be worn on regular system layers. Happy Hunting!

Lastly, what modern mermaid would be complete without a kick-butt mani/pedi? Today is the last day of the current round of The Dressing Room Fusion. ZOZ has a set pretty shiny nails meant for Slink hands/feet in 3 colors for just 70 lindens per color. These are specifically meant to show off the cool feature of the most recent slink update, you can put a different nail pattern on each individual nail. Can’t make it out to TDRF in time?
