So, the other day I was searching for pretty freebies to blog, and a friend of mine pointed out that The Free dove has had a quite a few new things added recently, and a lot of it’s even mesh! I’d actually never been to The free dove, so naturally I had to check it out!
I managed to snag quite a few cute new things while at The free dove, one of which is this lovely outfit from Sn@tch!
The outfit includes a top, pants, prim cuffs, shoes, and even earrings!
My bracelet is also a freebie from The free dove! This simple and elegant piece is from Earthstones, and comes in not only black, but also red! This has a built-in resizer, so it will easily fit just about any avatar! There are so many wonderful free things over at the free dove, for men and women! Definitely take the time to check it out, you’ll certainly find something you love.

So, the april round of the candy factory begins April 1st. This round’s theme is “water”, and it’s a gatcha round! Here’s a sample of what the designers have to offer!

On the left is the RARE, rose couple’s dance fountain (23 land impact), and on the right is the blue tile dance fountain (10 land impact), which is a common. I tried to get both of these in the same photo, but they are so large that it just wasn’t possible in the small space I’m using! There are 5 of these to collect, and the gatcha is $L35 to play!
Their second gatcha contains tulips in watering cans! These are super cute, and would be perfect on a patio, in a home, or even decorating a shop! There are 5 to collect, and the gatcha is just $L15 per play

I got to thinking about what I can post on for my first post.
I am working on a lot of things right now for hints and tips and I wanted to put something up to show all of you that I am at least thinking about things.
I’ll do something small right now to get a feel for what you all would like to see as far as hints and tips.
I must warn you, I do not use any TPV’s (Third Party Viewers) any longer and the one that I have used was Imprudence.
So, just to let you know, that if you have questions or if some of my tips and hints for the viewer, doesn’t work for you, you will have to ask in your viewer groups.
But for the most part, they should be in ALL viewers, unless the coders changed these themselves without LL knowing.
I also use Windows and do not know the key combo’s for MACs. I apologize in advance.
These below are just a few that I have been asked about, when I changed mine and others wanted them.
So…
Have you ever wanted to change your TP sound (without scripts)?
Have you ever wanted to kill that annoying ‘backspace’ thumping sound?
Have you wanted to change your INcoming and OUTgoing IM sounds?
Well.. I can help in that area 🙂 YAY!
A disclaimer here first.
NEVER mess with something that you have no idea what you are doing.
Editing the settings in DEBUG could render your viewer useless and keep you from logging into SL.
Check and re-check the type (numeric, alphabet, alphanumeric, characters and punctuation) of these settings before changing them to make sure that you have things correct.
If you do not see Advanced on the SL Viewer Menu Bar, press the key combination CTRL+ALT+SHIFT + D, or you can go into preferences under “Advanced” and checkmark “Show Advanced Menu”.
So, let’s dig right into the DEBUG Settings and change these sounds.
First for these sounds, you will need full perm sounds, either ones that you have already, or ones that you can make yourself.
Second, all of these will require copying of the UUID per full perm sound that you wish to use.
Third, you may need to turn your sound volume up as well if it is a low sound.
We’ll take the teleport sound first.
Choose a full perm sound in your inventory, right-click it and choose “Copy Asset UUID”
Now go to the Viewer Menu
Advanced > Debug Settings
In the clear space, type, “uisndteleportout”
Once that comes up, delete the current UUID in press CTRL+V
CTRL+V will PASTE the UUID that you just copied.
Press ENTER
Close the Debug Settings window and teleport some place, and if you did it right, you should hear the sound.
Sometimes it takes one or two teleports before you hear it.
Next we will kill the “Backspace” sound.
You know the one when you type something and then delete what you typed before sending it into chat or IM.
Choose a full perm sound in your inventory, right-click it and choose “Copy Asset UUID”
Now go to the Viewer Menu:
Advanced > DEBUG Settings
In the clear space type: “uisndbadKeystroke”
Delete the UUID in the window below
Press ENTER
And the last ones we are going to change are the INCOMING and STARTING an IM
Choose a full perm sound in your inventory, right-click it and choose “Copy Asset UUID”
Now go to the Viewer Menu:
Advanced > DEBUG Settings
In the clear space, type “uisndnewIncomingIMSession”
Once that comes up, delete the current UUID in press CTRL+V
CTRL+V will PASTE the UUID that you just copied.
Press ENTER
While still in DEBUG, the next one is the sound to START a new IM
Choose a full perm sound in your inventory, right-click it and choose “Copy Asset UUID”
Now go to the Viewer Menu:
Advanced > DEBUG Settings
In the clear space, type “UISndStartIM”
Once that comes up, delete the current UUID in press CTRL+V
CTRL+V will PASTE the UUID that you just copied.
Press ENTER
Close the Debug Settings window and teleport some place, and if you did it right, you should hear the sound.
And now we are done.
If everything went right, you now have new sounds for your Teleporting, Incoming IMs and Starting a New IM with people and groups.
And we also removed the Backspace sound. I always hated that sound.
These settings should update and you should not need to do these every time that you log on.
Again, these are done in SL Viewer 3.7.4 and before.
