Because Blondes Really Don’t Have More Fun!

Well, leave it to me to bring up the rear for the FabFree Photo Challenge (which ends today)! Better late than never, right? Actually, I think I was dragging my feet because I’m sooo embarrassed to show you my old avie pictures. But… since so many of you were brave and showed your “THEN” pictures, I figured I should pony up and do the same. No laughing, ok? Or at least, don’t laugh too loudly! 😛

So yeah… that’s me when I first joined SL in 2010. I was a blonde, only because I’m a blonde in RL, and I thought the point of SL was that we make our avie’s look as much like our RL selves as possible. (HA! No idea where I got that idea.) I’m totally rockin’ the Linden Library hipster glasses… and see that shirt? I was so proud of myself for texturing it myself. Yikes! I wore that SAME OUTFIT for about a year and a half, until I found the Marketplace, and along with it, freebies and dollarbies. By then, I’d grown tired of being a blonde, and started wearing *B.D.R.* dollarbie hairs in the “majestic” color for several months (I have no idea where that red sweater came from, and clearly, I hadn’t found new skin or eyes yet). Shortly after that, I turned myself “ginger,” and the rest is history! 😀

As for my “NOW” picture, I’m wearing a skirt, sweater, and poncho set from Prim & Pixel. It’s not their newest group gift, but I really like the casual, boho feel of it, so I decided to show it anyway. Be sure you pick up the gift on the 2nd floor with all the other group gifts, as there is a non-gift version for sale on the 1st floor. My bracelet is a free gift from B!ASTA, and comes with 4 different gem colors. You’ll find the pink gift box on the front desk.
