Hey Fabulous Readers! I bring news to you today of a few changes, and some exciting news. Grab a coffee, this could take a while because I’m feeling kind of chatty!
After talking to the bloggers, reading the input from readers and taking into account the poll results, we have come to make a few changes here at Fabfree. As you can see from the poll results, it was a fairly even three way split, so I am aware we won’t be pleasing everyone, but we are doing our best to compromise and come up with solutions 😉
As of today, Fabfree now considers free to be FREE… Meaning if you can obtain an item without spending a linden – it’s free. If you have to pay 10L for an item, or you have to pay 100L to join a group, it isn’t really free. Sure… It’s a great deal, and we will still write about them, but we aren’t considering them to be “free”. We also see the need to support the creators of Second Life by showing items that generate income for them, so that they can continue to design and prosper.
Our blog theme is “Fabulously Free in SL” and we will continue to focus our findings on fabulous free items, however we also will be featuring items under 75L. With this, we are launching a new crediting system, that all of us bloggers here at FabFree will adapt to, so that you will be able to recognize the routine and easily find the items you are looking for.
* Items that are 100% free will be bolded and red.
* Items that are group gifts with join fees are bolded and black.

Please be patient with us while we all learn the new system!
Now, that I have all of that out of the way… I have some really fun, exciting news. As of December 1st, Fabfree will now be hosting Semi-Monthly Challenges! On the 1st and 15th of each month a new challenge will be released. It was initially intended to challenge us FabFree bloggers and add a little fun to our posts, however it was suggested to me that we open it up and allow the whole grid to participate! What a fun idea 😉 There will be a dedicated Flickr group for participants to place their photos in, as well as they will be able to link their posts in the comments of the that challenge post. On the last day of the challenge, a winner will be selected from the outside entries, by our team of bloggers and will be featured as “The FabFree Challenge Champion” on the FabFree Blog.
I can hardly wait to release the first challenge! You can find it here, on the blog – December 1st!
Another thing that FabFree has in the works is “Fab Advice”! This idea came to me from a reader and at first, I thought.. “What? That is so not what we do” lol, but after thinking about it for a while I think it might be fun. How it will work is, people will send a notecard to me (names will be kept private) with a problem whether it be fashion, personal or whatever, and all of us bloggers will have a chance to weigh in with a positive response. More information will be released about this very soon!
Thank you again to everyone that contributed to our decision making process via the poll, comments, IM’s and notecards. Your input is very much appreciated 😉
Love Trill

Love,
I like the design of the new site but how do I go to the previous pages? Sorry if this is obvious and I’m missing it. I’m only able to view, say if there are 10 posts on one page, that’s all I can see. I can’t figure out how to go back pages? Thanks for all you do!

Hi Andilynne 🙂 Thank you for your comments. You can find the previous posts by scrolling all the way to the bottom of the page and clicking the “older posts” button on the left hand side. Hope that helps!

Andilynne, there should be a black box at the very bottom of the page that says “Older Posts.” If you don’t see that, you can try going to the Archives dropdown box or the calendar on the right —>. If you’re looking for something in particular, try the search box. Or you can just ask us. 🙂
