The Trouble with Troobles

Hello Fabulouses! I don’t actually know that Troobles are any trouble at all, but as a long-time Star Trek fan, I couldn’t help myself with that title! 🙂

Anyway, in case you haven’t heard, Linden Labs is offering another special promotion, available on Amazon.com:

We’re happy to announce a new special offer for Second Life on Amazon – a pack of virtual pets!

The Troobles have arrived and are squeaking with excitement to be the stars of our third limited-time, special promotion on Amazon. From now to April 25, 2013, you can get the Pet Pack – The Troobles (a $9.95 value) for free.

You can read the rest of the post details here. One per customer, and unfortunately, this offer is only available to Amazon Game Connect users in the U.S. Offer expires on April 25, 2013.

  5. Resistance is futile…

and for all those who have no clue what this means…

Assimilation is the process by which the Borg integrate beings and cultures into their collective. “You will be assimilated” is one of the few on-screen phrases employed by the Borg when communicating with other species. The Borg are portrayed as having encountered and assimilated thousands of species and billions to trillions of individual life-forms throughout the galaxy. The Borg designate each species with a number assigned to them upon first contact.

    Please don’t say …. “Who or what is a borg….” 😀

  7. LOL, you guys are cracking me up. @Xiu, yes, I’m a life-long Trekkie. My dad got me hooked on “The Original” when I was a kid (I’m dating myself here), and I followed the series through TNG and ALL the movies (even the awful ones). Couldn’t get into DS9 or other later series, though. On my bucket list is, “Attend ComicCon,” where I will dress up crazy, and thoroughly embarrass my family. 😉

@Love, @Care stole my line, “Resistance is futile.” And pronounce that, FU-TYLE (British accent required). 😉

  11. “Futile”, pronounced “few tile” – like my bathroom floor.
+10 pts for the ST:TOS reference.
    +1 for TNG stuff. 🙂

“Bones, find out why these Tribbles died”
“Jim, I haven’t found out what keeps them alive yet”!
