Simply Fabulous Free and Under L$75 Finds in Second Life – Since 2007

The Body as Art

SL glitches from time to time. Sometimes the glitches are incredibly frustrating, like not being able to get group chat for a few weeks, and sometimes they’re.. well.. look.

Shang has no body.

Not as in “I ain’t got nobody”, but rather, “I ain’t got no body”.

A simple rebake fixes this problem, so no worries — Shang has a body again.

What I really wanted to show you is this wonderful lucky chair find from Dark Eden. The Shibari Chain Set (in silver here), while not everyday wear, sure is pretty. Full prim chains that cover none of your saucy bits are perfect for those with a more submissive nature, or for those of us who love well-made, unusual treasures.

This flowery pink body suit is called Pink Fantasy, and it was a Midnight Mania prize from a new-to-me shop called Sandra’s. This is a wonderful base for outfits (I love to mix-and-match).. and a white tutu looks wonderful with this.

This more demure, but certainly not dowdy gown is called bformal, and it’s a 20 minute camp prize from Sandra’s.

The belt is from an amazing pack sent to the Nomine sunscribo group. There are several version of the belt in the Nomine gift, as well as matching armbands, the bangles, anklets, and a pair of earrings.

Milk and Circuses

Ok, so it’s really bread and circuses.. but I’ve changed it to fit my needs.

As many of you have probably heard (and you have heard if you read my blog with any regularity), most of the Rezzable sims are closing up shop and leaving Second Life. Greenies will remain, and King’s Rezzable.. but nothing else will remain.

So, today I’ve chosen to showcase the designs from Lemania Indigo and Lestat Reuven at Crimson Shadow and the Carnival of Doom.

Ringmaster, by Lemania Indigo Designs

Standing in an empty big top, I have the ringmaster’s stand all to myself. Center stage, I play to a non-existent audience.

Ringmaster is the current retiring dollarbie from Lemania Indigo Designs. You know the routine; it’s 1L$ until it’s gone.. and once it’s gone, it’s gone for good.

How appropriate that something by a designer named Lestat should be photographed at Crimson Shadow. This was one of the first goth sims I discovered when I first started exploring Second Life. I’ve come back so many times since then: for the ambiance, for the wonderful lucky chair prizes (though I never did win one), for the recent Crimson Shadow hunt, and now for the sale as it’s closing for good.

Milk AD is a wonderful mono-tone gown, and I feel other-wordly in this dark sim. The Milk AD gown is the weekly dollarbie from The French Farm, and the Milk AD shoes shown above are 200L$; they’re not free, but they do match the gown flawlessly.

A Couple More from The U-Neek

The owner of The U-Neek just keeps adding more great stuff in the star hunt. The latest addition is a cool pair of pants for guys.. with a few funky teeshirts thrown in for good measure.

And the skins!

Let’s just say they’re a little.. different.

The U-Neek

Hawk is decked out in some of the men’s dollarbies from The U-Neek. The fractal pants are great for girls too.  I love the skin Shang is wearing, it’s one of the skin duck dollarbies at U-Neek.

The shirt Shang is wearing is the latest (subscribo) group gift from Pixel Dolls.  Pixel Dolls is having a 10L$ retirement sale.. includes skins! It’s ending soon, so if you want some Pixel Doll clothes at a great price you better hurry.

The owner/designer of The U-Neek is also a very talented artist, check her gallery upstairs for a psychedelic feast for the eyes!
