Day 1 – HAIR FAIR ‘08
August 22 – September 7, 2008
I’ve heard about the terrible lag on the Hair Fair sims. Please lower your prim count before entering. For more tips on how you can reduce the lag for you and your fellow shoppers check out the Hair Fair 2008 lag reducing tips. Thanks to Terry Toland and Arvana Stardust for getting me the location of the low lag “Big Event” AV. Please try either the metalic, stalactite, or gold aviators to help reduce the lag. You can find all of these for free at YABU ( 98/217/24 ). With any of these on you do not need to wear an outfit, shoes, hair, face lights, AO, or any of the prim attachments you might normally wear. I went from over 1000 prims down to just 1 prim. This low lag look is available free for both the male and female aviators. I know they aren’t very attractive, but if you want to be able to shop then do what you can so that the sim doesn’t crash. I might just show you a low lag look each day.

The bloody Priestess of the Sacrifice Skin is from Crimson + Clover. The gift bag from this booth also has two different hair styles with three colors each. The Momo style comes in black/purple, blue, and pink. I am wearing Pink. The Sydney style comes in black, dirty, and mahogany. Click the color demo and you will have a second gift from Crimson + Clover. The Yoko short pigtail style comes in every color. I’m wearing the Chocolate Series II. I am wearing the white Heart I shirt from the Dernier Cri gift I previously posted. The stuff at Dernier Cri is on my SL wishlist so I am thrilled with everything in the gift.
If you’ve ever felt like branching out from the norm, you can get this tree hair from the Curious Kitties booth. The style comes with white, pink, and red flowers. I am the green tictactoe design t-shirt from the Dernier Cri gift.
The black Carolna hair from Color Me Couture also comes in orange. The Bre style comes in auburn and blonde.
The gift from Gwendolyn Cassini Creations comes with two different styles and tons of color selections. I am wearing the chocolate color in the Francesca updo and the teal color in the Nakoma ponytail.
One look at the Lonnie hair from Here Comes Trouble and I knew it was a keeper! I adore this hair; it’s so cute! Now if I could decide which color to keep… There are tons of colors in this freebie.
Okay gonna go clean myself up and wipe off this blood, so I can get to a party!
*Keep an eye on my posts for more free and dollarbie hair that you can only get at the hair fair. You never know, I might be keeping the best for last.

Hair Fair donates proceeds to Locks of Love, an organization that donates wigs to children who suffer hair loss due to cancer, burns, and other conditions. On the last day of Hair Fair, September 7th, people around the grid are asked to take off their hair for Bandana Day! Expect a balded headed post from me on September 7th.
