Hot Stuff in the Cold Snow

I decided to “play hooky” today and take Nessie out for a little fun in the snow. Unfortunately, she doesn’t seem to be having as much fun as I am, but she’s being an awfully good sport about it!

What’s Next: Blossoming Into 2013?

Confession: I hate odd-numbered years. I know, I know; odd-numbered years are no different than even-numbered years, but hey, everyone’s got their “thing,” right? This just happens to be mine. Add to that the fact that next year has a 13 in it, and I can’t help but worry that we’re in for a bumpy ride! Thank goodness I’ve got Nessie – who’s not afraid of ANYTHING, by the way – to help ease my irrational, numerical fears!

Today I’m wrapping my fears in my fave color purple with this lovely, mesh, berry wrap dress and shoes by [Blossom], which are their December gifts for the Womenstuff Hunt. The November gift is also still available, so hurry over and get yourself an even-numbered 2-fer! The Womenstuff Hunt is loaded with fabulous gifts, and ends on January 2nd.

This gorgeous skin with shimmery shadow is from [Pink Fuel], and was their prize in the With Love Hunt, which I think ended on December 28th. Even so, the box is still there for you to find (as of this afternoon), and can be  yours for only 10L. The skin comes in ivory with 4 brow options, or no brow, if that’s how you roll. I love the little beauty mark next to the left eye. My Touch of Stone jewelry is a past group gift from Lazuri, and I’m sorry to say is no longer available for free. Sigh… So I’m facing my fear by surrounding myself with these pretty New Year’s decor items from {what next}. Have Yourself a Tres Beau-licous Christmas!

Bah humbug! I just wasn’t feeling the holiday spirit AT ALL today until I opened the box for this merry outfit from Tres Beau’s Peace on Earth Hunt gift. I was so surprised to find not only the mesh sweater dress, but also the ribbed tights and mesh stiletto boots. The dress comes in 5 standard sizes, so there’s sure to be something to fit everyone.

My rosy-cheeked skin is not free, but is another of Glam Affair’s Frostbite offerings at the current round of Collabor88. My Christmas Ball earrings, necklace, and charm bracelet were all recent advent gifts from *Perception* (if you haven’t been picking up these cute, holiday-themed jewels each day, you’re really missing out!). Completing the ensemble are reindeer antlers by [Viita], which I picked up for free on the Marketplace.

Furnishings Friday #6 – I Have A Dirty Little Secret… What Next?

It’s Furnishing’s Friday time again and I found a really sweet group  gift from {whats next}!  The Newport Dock Pillow Set includes the nautical themed lanterns on a string, three lantern decorations and the two animated dock pillows.  These pillows have a ton of animations in them such as fishing, suncreen, drink etc… and when you select them you are sent a wearable item that co-ordinate with your pose, such as a fishing rod.  SUPER CUTE!  These are mesh and partial mesh, so you will need a mesh enabled viewer to see them properly.  The group is 250L to join, however that gives you access to group gifts, and VIP discounts

Furnishings Friday #5 – Keepsakes & Blue Roses and Some Dark Mice

Furnishing’s Friday is here again and I know it’s only been 5 weeks so far lol, but I’m proud of myself to keep up with it because I’m usually all about the clothes!!  This week I am showing you a couple of beautiful furniture pieces from { what next } on marketplace.  They are not free, but only 10L each.  The Beautiful Dreamer Chair / Shadow Box Set includes both the animated chair and the shadowbox on the wall.  The chair is 8prims and the shadow box is 7 prims.  The Keepsake Table & Candle I couldn’t pass up – it’s so pretty!!  Together they are 14 prims.  The adorable gift box on the floor is really only the box they came in, but sometimes those boxes are so cute themselves they work as decorative items too!

I also have some wearables to share with you!!  The Roses are Blue Dress I am wearing made by Siss Boom and is in their new lucky chair!  They have tons of prizes in their lucky chair and also still have their lucky boards.  They recently moved, so make sure you TP to the link in this post.

My dishy freckled skin is Mirror’s Enigma Paris in Pale Skintone and is their latest group gift.  It includes cleavage and freckle options as well as a pair of eyes and shape (eyes and shape not worn here).  The only way to get into the group is to make a purchase and then you will be invited to join the free group.  You can however purchase this skin for 25L which will get you the invite for future gifties

Roodvosje (who was wearing a lampshade on her head, LMAO) TPed me to Dark Mouse yesterday for a couple of L’s on the lucky board (Tnx Rood!), and I won the 30′s Art Deco Set shown here that includes the necklace, bracelets and earrings.  There are 6 lucky boards.  My lovely locks today are also from Dark Mouse – Alex is free in all colour sets.  A bit of sad news about Dark Mouse….  is that they are closing their inworld doors on July 16th.  They are currently having a huge instore sale though – so make sure you head over and see if there is anything you’d like before it’s gone for good.  Thanks so much Mouse Mimistrobell, for all of the wonderful designs you have designed over the years – and I know there are many, many people who hope to see you back designing soon!

Going into Culture Shock!
