Love’s Layers of Black & Blue

Today I had a great time putting together this fun layered black and blue outfit and most of the pieces are under 10L, so I thought I’d share it with the FabFree readers too!

The even.flow mesh Enviro Vest that is featured at Acid Lily this week for 70L is what inspired the whole thing, lol and I know – it’s not free, but we do need to do our share of supporting these wonderful gift givers as well!  The Jacqueline Outfit that I picked up for 10L at The Wash’s Black Event had a pair of jeans and a black sweater in it that was perfect for layering under my new vest.  The Jacqueline Outfit includes several pieces for mix and matching at a super deal of 10L. Under the sweater which has a super low scoop neck, I put on a free Intrinsic Tank Top from Jane in black.  Next I needed some boots, and The Black Event hooked me up there too!  I put on my Battle Fairy Grungies Boots (10L @ The Wash), and finished the outfit off with an Essentials Blue Scarf made by even.flow that you can find at Acid Lily this week for 1L.  There you have it – Love’s layers of black & blue!

Boppin’ On Over to The Black Event

I’ve picked up a few more things from the Black Event to share with you all. The men’s selection aren’t as numerous as the ladies, but there are still some nuggets to grab. Today I strolled by the Hell Bop Clothing cart and discovered some good finds. I picked out a couple to give you a quick look but Hell Bop has more available for 10L.  The suspenders that come with the Zach pants I’m wearing come in two different layers in case you want the choice to wear a shirt over or under them, although I opted to not wear a shirt. I showed the SF Martin work boots in an earlier Black Event post but since they went well with the black plaid shirt, I thought I’d show you again in case you missed them the first time. o if you got a few Lindens to spare, you guys should drop by the Black Event and grab a few of these things. Everything is 10L or less!

My feet were tired after walking around the Black Event so I tried to find a place to sit down but Love had claimed most of the chairs on the grid (see her previous post), but I managed to find this old wicker chair to relax in… until Love realizes she missed one, that is…

Dance With Me

Hudson’s Clothing Company has a beautiful new group gift set out for it’s VIPs.  When you join the Hudson’s Clothing Co. inworld group for free, you gain access to monthly group gifts like the Teal Cocktail Dress shown in the photo.  The rich colour of the dress and shimmery texture make this the perfect holiday party dress, which is just what so many of us ladies are looking for this time of year! This is not a mesh dress, and I am happy about that –  I am a huge fan of mesh products in SL, but when I go dancing in particular,  I love watching the skirts spin!

Furnishings Friday #23 – Need A Naughty Box?

For Furnishings Friday this week, I would like to features a few home furnishings that you can find at The Black Event for 10L each and a very sexy unfurnished, super low prim skybox that would make a fantastic naughty box  (office or home if you must behave lol), for just 5L!

Fading To Black In Amour Fashion

Amour Fashion is participating in The Black Event on The Wash Sim and are featuring some very sexy little black numbers all priced at 10L.  I snapped some photos of a few of my personal favourites, and I hope you like them enough to go grab them too!  First of all…  I have to spill the deets about the boots.  Boots should always come first!!  These are the Amour Fashion Kandice boots and they can be found at the event for 10L!  If you are in the market for a pair of tall black boots – here’s your deal!

The dress shown above is called Nora, and the dress below is called Michelle.  The Michelle Dress also comes with the Addison pearl necklace. Both dresses are mesh.
Katya (also mesh)  is show next, and has a really funky texture to it – it might be my fave of the whole bunch!

Renee is shown below – the top of this dress is super cute.  It’s a partial mesh creation which means you get to keep your shape and still have a skirt that moves with your body.  I <3 partial mesh!

Caught Up At The WASH

OH-MY-LANTA! You know that awkward moment when you say to yourself, I’m only going to go and buy one outfit, then you get to the event and run around like a wild banshee buying up everything… Yup that was me. Love told me to go check out the  Black Event at The Wash and that there was great stuff, and she was not lying. I found the utmost fan-tab-u-lous  stuff their for $10L. Now, I know Love and Cal both have done some wonderful coverage, but I had to come and chime in too, because I swear my eyes popped out of my head. I seriously looked around like, whose playing a joke on me, this can’t be real. You mean, all these designers put out all this great stuff for $10L. Can we please just stop for a minute and give them a round of applause!

Ok, just in time for the holiday season, look at this Xmas Elf by Schwarz outfit. If this isn’t the cutest thing, and a nice remix to the traditional red and green look, then I don’t know what is. I am seriously here styling and profiling with this outfit on, how could I not?! Now the .:Evilkyoot:. Black Slouchy Boots was also found at the Black Event, and I found them before I found the Elf outfit. I looked at them and said, yes, this is going to be something I can pop around in, especially when I just feel like being comfy.

Once I wiggled out of the Elf outfit, I went ahead and slid into this B&T Mesh Top Dress Grey Snake skin spagetti strap mesh dress and loved the way it fit my body. Every once in a while, I have to pop on an extra girdle to fit some dresses, and I did not have to do that here. This is one of those dresses, that you can slip on and know you are going to  look good without giving it an extra thought.

*Takes a deep breath* Do you believe in love at first sight? Well I wasn’t sure I did until I seen this B&T Mesh Overall Deep Black Silk. I heard a symphony playing softly, everything slowed down, and everything but this outfit disappeared around me. I am in love. First and foremost, look at the detail. I took another picture featured below, so you can see it clearly. This one piece just gives me life! The picture of it was great, but when I put it on, oh how I swooned. Taking this outfit off was like removing a part of my body, I really can’t wait to wear it out. Oh, and if you were thinking that the La Fleur Black heels by Michigans Shack is also at this event, then you thought right! I can definitely see myself wearing them again through out this holiday season.

I definitely would like to give another round of applause to the designers, you all did a wonderful just. For the price of $10L, you can’t beat that with a baseball bat.

Back in Black

The Black Event at The Wash started last week and I will try to cover a lot of the items that are available to you gentlemen. It features clothing, furniture, jewelry, and a whole lot more and everything at the event sells for 10L or less and there are some great finds! I’m going to start off with Rispetto Designs. I’m showing you three of the outfits that Rispetto is offering at the Event; the Classico, the Cuoio, and the Regalo.  Of the three, only the Regalo features mesh, which is a really nice fitting v-neck pullover. With the Cuioio and Regalo I’m wearing SF – Martin unlaced workboots by Hell Bop Clothing also being featured at The Black Event.  So if you have time and a few lindens, drop by the Rispetto Designs and Hell Bop cartsat The Black Event and pick up some nice stuff!

Only One Way To Get Me Out In The Cold & Snow…

If there is anything that can entice me to go out in the cold and snow it’s a fuzzy warm sweater and …  chocolate cookies When I saw this Chocolatier Drink Tray Set was being offered at What Next for Fifty Linden Friday yesterday, I snatched it up!

Last weekend I showed you an adorable Animal Parka at Ribbon on a lucky board and this weekend and that hoodie is still available, but now I see there are several to be picked up for free in the way of lucky boards, and a hunt item too, so I thought I would do up a post to show them all to you!  In the photo above I am wearing NukuNuku-One in Deer along with my Tramp Jeans from Twisted & Spoiled (not free), and a pair of black boots that I picked up at The Viviane Fashion display for 10L at The Black Event.

Furnishings Friday #22 – Winter Wonderland

For Furnishings Friday this week, I would like to feature a couple items I picked up at The Black Event!  As I  mentioned earlier in an intro post to The Black Event, The Wash is putting on a huge event sponsored by Hellbop and FabFree, where you will find hundreds of items priced under 10L from different designers across the grid plus FREE GIFTS!!

The Set of 3 Black and White Trees shown in the photo above you can pick up at the Treehouse Treasures display for 10L and they will spruce up (oh, that was a bad pun! Forgive me!) your home winter scene!  Also on The Treehouse Treasures cart, I found this cute Chillin Black Teapot that has a few different chill out poses and looks so cute, just set out in the snow!
