It Was A Cold Winter Night… Outside These Four Walls

It may have been a cold, winter night outside, but inside these four walls, it was warm and cozy! Like Love, I recently did a little Cold Winter Nights Hunting. And she did not exaggerate about how fabulous the prizes are in this hunt! I invited Gavin over to see my new Little Getaway Skybox, the CWNH prize from Designer Prims. I had so much fun playing with the options on this amazing skybox that I may have gotten an eensy bit carried away. Seriously though, there is almost nothing you can’t mod, so you can customize it to be whatever you want it to be. There’s a menu-driven panel to change the floor, brick walls, and accent wood; the rest you can just re-texture yourself. Trust me, your 10L will be well spent on this one! The furniture you see here (most of it) is part of the hunt prize from Cleo Design. It includes two different sofas, a rug, coffee table with candles and fruit, a magazine rack, and a mirror and set of pictures that you can’t see in this picture. Again, I went a little nuts playing with the color options on the sofas. They come with several fun animations, and even dispense props! The lovely artwork you see over the green sofa not a hunt prize, but is a gift from Whiskey Monday to celebrate the first anniversary of Atelier Kreslo. There is also second gift, which I’ll show you in a bit.

I had this empty back wall and nothing to fill it up, so I accidentally on-purpose wandered off into another hunt: The Four Walls Hunt.

The Four Walls Hunt runs until January 31st, and includes 37 stores. All prizes are 20L, but are valued at 200L or more. Be sure to visit the official blog for prize photos and SLURLs. You’ll be hunting for an evergreen tree in a cardboard box.

Ok, back to my empty wall: I saw a picture of the Miller Dresser and Positive Words Art from PILOT and decided that I absolutely had to have it. Can you believe the dresser is only 2 L.I.? Oh, and see that cakestand full of delicious cupcakes? Another Four Walls prize, this time from Sway’s. It comes with the plates and cups you saw on the table in the previous pictures, as well as a couple of cute wall-hangings. Yummy! The Bird Cage Lamp is not a hunt item, but rather a free gift from Sway’s. There is also a smaller version in the box. Over in the corner is another non-hunt item, the Mayfair Trunk (Old Glory), a VIP group gift from {what next} (250L to join). The bookcase and furnishings inside are part of the skybox.

Gavin is such a “Sheldon” that I decided to pick up the Star Party star-gazing set, the CWNH prize from -Hanaya-. It is mesh, weighs in at 9 L.I., and comes with menu-driven animations for up to three avatars. It’s really a lot of fun to play with. Hey, looks like Gavin found something!

Here is an outside view of the skybox. The inside brick texture carries to the outside wall. There is a door on the other side, in case you decide to put your home on land instead of floating in the sky.

More evidence of my “modding madness”: I took out the fireplace that came with the skybox and added this Oak Fireplace, the CWNH prize from [Barnesworth Anubis]. The mirror over the mantle and the two pictures to the left of the fireplace are part of the Cleo Design CWNH prize. And the little daisy on a chair is the other anniversary gift from Atelier Kreslo; it comes in 3 sizes, with this one being the largest. To the right of the fireplace is the Pallet Log Box, the most recent VIP group gift from {what next}. Gavin and I decided to finish off those cupcakes; we’re snuggling in the Warming Up couples pose, the CWNH prize from Atooly.

Oh, and about what we’re wearing: Gavin’s beautifully textured mesh sweater is the CWNH prize from {Epicosity}, and my sparkly Pom Pom sweater is the prize from ::PurpleMoon::. My pants are not a hunt prize, but I’ll tell you about them anyway: they are the R.icielli Mesh SALLY Skinny Pants, available for 10L on the Marketplace. You get 10 different colors in the box, each in 5 standard sizes. How’s that for a deal? Wishing You a Merry Christmas… And Gifts from LMD

I can’t believe that Christmas is tomorrow – I just can’t wait! And all these presents under the tree reminded me to tell you about the great advent calendar gifts available at Leri Miles Designs. There’s been a new gift every day since December 1st, and they’re all still available! Not all of them are free though, but many of them are, and none are over 100L. This mesh blouse and mesh high-waist slacks are both from the calendar; I love the bow belt and the cute candle design. My necklace and earrings are SEQUOIASTYLE’s Peace on Earth Hunt prize, and my sparkly stiletto pumps are the Joyful Christmas Hunt prize at Baby Monkey. My hair and skin are both from this month’s round of My Attic @ The Deck. The hair is ::Exile::’s Waiting for Tonight (how appropriate!) which comes with an elegant color-change tiara pin, and my skin is Glam Affair’s Renee Christmas Edition. Both were a bargain at 95L each! My Attic will be open until December 31st.

Wow, look at all these presents! No one will notice if I open just one, right? Here, I’m wearing a mesh blouse and pants from LMD, with shoes from under the Christmas tree at Baby Monkey (group gift), and jewelry from !Elemental Jewelry’s Peace on Earth Hunt gift. Oh, and my comfy chair and Christmas tree with presents are both Candy Cane Hunt 4 prizes from Dreamscapes Art Gallery, and the Gingerbread Pendulum Clock – which keeps real SL time, by the way! – was today’s advent gift from ***Sway’s***.

This warm sweater dress is another advent gift from LMD. My shiny, mesh Jango boots are a group gift from Finesmith, and my Snowflake earrings are freebies from Chop Zuey Couture (no group required). Oh, and this cute pose with the present is by aDORKable Poses, currently available at The Arcade Gacha. Gosh, I wonder what’s inside this box anyway? It’s been wiggling and making some awfully strange noises!

My cozy, hooded sweatshirt dress and Uggs Snowflake boots are also both from the LMD advent calendar. These Nordic Leggings are part of the December group gift from Izzie’s, which Love wrote about here. My gold Ma Songe earrings are free gifts from Chop Zuey. I don’t know how long the LMD advent gifts will be available, so hurry on over there before it’s too late!

Oh my goodness… it’s a puppy! Since she came to me on Christmas Eve, I’ve decided to name her Nessie, from the Latin/Gaelic for “holy…” and also, she’s a little bit of a monster! Good thing I have lots of warm clothes for those late night puppy potty-training sessions!

Summer Harvest Hunt

The Summer Harvest Hunt started today and I was up bright and early to do it as I have been watching the feeds and drooling over the gifts for the last week! It runs until September 21st so you have lots of time to go hunting for these beautiful finds.

You are looking for a little acorn as the hunt prize and the starting point is .evolve. . The things for each picture are listed underneath so you can see easier what you are looking at.

My pictures are quite basic at the moment but I thought I would try out one of the other windlight settings to give this picture a little bit of an Autumnal evening look. I thought it came out quite well!

SwayLand Watermelon Hunt!

I’ve done many hunts before but few were like this…. the SwayLand Watermelon Hunt is a hunt on one SIM and you’re looking for watermelon slices with notecards that have the passwords to obtain the gifts by the entrance from Ayla’s, nonino, Sway’s, ToRiCo, and Zacca! There might only be 5 gifts so you think it’d be easy… but there are some slices with empty notecards! When you finally have all 5 passwords, you go to the main entrance and click on each gift and you will be asked to type the password in local chat, for example: ” /07 ‘password” to receive the gift. Once you receive all gifts, here are the summery gifts you will find:

Ayla’s has a cute foral top – Stephanie’s top.

Sway’s has an Aloha out fit for women with a grass skirt and bikini top and a cute flower for your hair …and an Aloha outfit with a pair of floral swim trunks and a straw hat for men.

nonino has yummy snow cones and carmel apples (one to hold and one to eat), a perfect snack for lounging in the sun on the beach.

Zacca has a Garden Kitchen which would complete patio or deck and is perfect for a barbecue party, maybe even a Hawaiian-themed barbecue party…

And what barbecue would be complete without food? ToRiCo provided the perfect Hawaiian barbecue feast with steak, sausages, kabobs, and drinks… along with some necessary condiments…

As I said before, you are looking for watermelon slices that contain notecards – when you find the right 5 notecards with passwords, you return back to the main hunt place where you will find 5 gift boxes. Take a Sip from the World Cup

Have you been watching the World Cup? Honestly I haven’t seen any of it, but from the looks of the gifts and notices I’ve seen around SL lately many designers are fans! Here’s just a few of the World Cup gifts that are available.

Have you done the Sways Creations Valentine hunt yet? If not grab a friend and go do this hunt. Search for golden Valentine hearts hidden around the Sways Creations Sim. Look out in the open and in the stores as well. When you find one of the hearts, move within 6m of the heart and touch it. A confirmation message will be given that tells you how many more hearts are needed to be found. Once all 14 gold hearts are found, return to the Valentine Treasure Box and touch it to claim the prize!

Want to see the prize? The treasure contains an outfit for the ladies and one for the guys. (psst, the guys outfit looks super hot on women too!) The cute “seven” colored bracelets are in a gift close to the treasure hunt box, so pick them up too! The red and black Rock Heart Peep Toe heels are from She’s So Unusual Shoes.
