I always wonder how people spend their Friday nights… all of the different things to do to celebrate the weekend… whether it be going out for a fancy dinner, getting all dressed up, sitting back in your favorite pair of jean shorts and tank top, or going out to dance and enjoy the nightlife. I hate to quote Rebecca Black, yet again, but… “it’s Friday, Friday …gotta get down on Friday.” (Carson, please don’t kill me for that ).
I love when I find big rooms of items for 10L …wait, who am I kidding? How often do I run into one of those?! Well last night, Renee told me about Glam Affair and it’s been featured in this blog before …but with new stuff and lots of options to choose from, I couldn’t help but to go check it out for myself. I gave myself a spending limit of 5oL and frolicked around like a kid in a candy store.
The first thing I saw was the adorable Chartres dress. The classy high neckline and the gold stripes across the top and the hem give it sort of an Egyptian feel to me and what girl doesn’t want to feel as powerful and elegant as Cleopatra?
And then, after finding a handful of free leggings at Sheer, I wanted something funky to pair with the zebra pair and thought the Courtney dress in Sea was absolutely perfect. Perfect for a night on the town or a party… I didn’t have a pair of heels that went well with it but a nice pair of pumps or wedges would do the trick along with some bold jewelry.
I wonder how many times I can reference Rebecca Black in a blog post before the blog police come and get me… but I wanted to cater to the people who like to spend their Friday nights “gettin’ down” (I think any amount of “cool” I previously had, is gone by now – long gone). I found the Valinka dress and thought it was just funky enough to do the trick. The dress would also look good with a pair of jeans under or a jacket and with or without a pair of equally funky high heels.
The last outfit is definitely more my style. Something casual, cute and easy to wear without a fuss …something you could throw on and head to the beach wearing. Since it’s still summer, jean shorts are a must and you can’t go wrong with a pair of jean shorts and tank top – like the Capri tank in Sea.
Glam Affair is filled to the brim with clothes for women and men and styles anywhere from casual to formal. I didn’t actually get around to picking up the new stuff but it’s all worth checking out (and a good excuse, incase you need one).
