It Was A Cold Winter Night… Hunt

It may have been a beautiful day yesterday, but it was a cold winter night, a night perfect for staying inside, logging into SL, and doing a little hunting!  I picked up several of the Cold Winter Nights Hunt prizes and put together a little hideaway for my sky which I will tell you about in just a moment, but first, I’d like to give you a little info on the hunt itself!

The Cold Winter Nights Hunt runs until February 15th, includes 54 stops and each of the prizes are 10L. You can visit their official blog for a list of slurls including prize previews, so you don’t have to hunt until you are sure you want to pick up that prize, which I sure appreciate when you do have to pay a little for them.  I am personally really impressed with the quality of these prizes, and found them to be worth every little linden spent.  The icon you are searching for is a blue snowflake.

I am quite sure between Serena and I, we will be covering a lot of the prizes in this hunt… because it’s THAT GOOD, but here is a little taste to get you started!

At Vespertine, after you have located the hidden snowflake (watch out for that Cola Bear!) and pick it up for 10L, you will have the Frostwoods Skybox (mesh / 7 prims) in both bright and darker versions.  It includes the “I Live On The Moon Lamp” too.

Inside the skybox you will see that I have used the Frosted Mirrors from Wayward Muse, The Trompe Loeil Shelf With Framed Imagine Quotes, and the Vesta Fireplace & Rug Set in Cream from Digs.  The Pillow has comfy male, female and unisex poses in a menu.  All of these furnishings are also hunt gifts!

The outfit I am wearing is called Out Of Time, and is the prize that SAKIDE is offering, including the mesh skirt and blouse with the broach.  This blouse comes in a regular and a Lola’s version.

My skin can be found after locating the snowflake icon at Amacci.  This beauty is called Nuiko and comes with a regular and cold nose version of the skin, as well as cleavage layers and eyebrow shapes.

These sparkling earrings are not a part of the Cold Winter Nights Hunt, but can be found as  a free gift at Virtual Impressions.  The Samantha Earrings and also come with a necklace (which was interfering with my top – will show it with another outfit lol).  They are in a big box in the center of the store on the floor, priced at 0L.

Only In Second Life…

It’s a beautiful day today, and I thought I would head outside for a leisurely walk…  I put on my snuggly Lounge Cardigan in blue and a pair of Shiny Vintage Floral Jeans from SAKIDE that I had won from the midnight mania boards the night previously (150 slaps is all it takes!), and slipped into my Coco Suede Boots.  I have worn these a billion times, but they still look brand  new – and are still available as a group gift.  I  nearly forgot my camera rushing out the door, afraid I would miss the sun, but snagged my Doo Dads Camera For Neck at the last minute just in case I found myself a photography inspiration!  This fun photography accessory is available for 1L in the Doo Dads Marketplace store.

I made my way to the Vespertine Sim because the scenery is always so beautiful, changing with the seasons.   I got no more than 3 steps before spotting what appears to me to be the Cola Bear running around in circles.  I never did snap that picture – was frozen in shock!  Only in SL will you see something like that!

The French Touch @ SAKIDE!

SAKIDE VIPs are spoiled yet again with very generous group gifts!!  In the past notices, after joining (250L to join) you will find two gifts that are brand new releases!  The outfit I am wearing in this photo is called The French Touch Outfit and it includes the mesh French Touch polka-dotted skirt, Lace Undersweater and also the Latex Rubber Pumps in white.  I am going to show you the second gift in another post, because they are so different… and I may be a bit OCD about my blog photos matching lol. Finding Foxes, My Dear

 Do you  have a formal event to attend soon?  If so, you’ll want to head down to the Creations for Parkinsons Event, which is a venture to raise awareness for the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinsons research.  Have a look for a hidden Fox Hunt icon in the SAKIDE shop.  Inside the Fox Hunt Icon you will find the mesh Dream Gown decorated with a lovely pearl texture in both the white colour shown and a pale pink as well.  I also stopped in the Purplemoon Creations shop at the Event and picked up the Cubics II Set that includes the gorgeous necklace and earrings set shown in the photos.  Several of the shops on the sim are participating in this hunt – and the hunt prizes are free!

Even if you don’t plan to participate in the hunt, you are welcome to take a trip down there and enjoy the beautifully decorated sim, do a little dancing or go shopping!

Splashing By With News Of Freebies!

I had a bit of a busy day today and didn’t have much time for blogging, but I do have a few minutes tonight so I thought I’d splash on by and share a couple of freebies with you!

If you are a lover of puppies, you are going to want to head directly to the TuTy’s store on Marketplace and check out their free Christmas gift.  It is the adorable Pet Carrier (puppy included).  It comes with a  natural looking shoulder holding pose too, but my puddle jumping pose over rode it!

Another freebie I have to share with you today are these fantabulous Eternal Mesa Eyes from IKON which are a stunning sparkly brown shade.  This is the VIP weekend where you can activate your free inworld group tag and pick up the group gift (until Monday @ midnight SLT).  If you haven’t tried IKON eyes before, this is an excellent opportunity to try them out.  I bet you will have a hard time straying after trying them on!

Happy To Be Home!

Hiya Fabulouses! Do you have any idea why I am SOOOO excited that I am dancing around, singing happy tunes?  Well…

A Naughty Helper With A Sweet Tooth

Snow Deer
