Ah… what a beautiful morning for some fishing on the lake. So far, I haven’t caught anything, but I’m not ready to go home yet. Good thing I brought my lunch. Anyway, my fishing gear today consists of these great cargo pants and skullie shirt by Ruca Tease for the Color Explosion Hunt. Care and Love have already shown you a few ladies items from this hunt, but there are also men’s prizes to be found. The hunt runs until May 31st, and all prizes are free. My hat is a MENstuff gift from JfL, bracelet is a group gift from Ronsem, and my earring is a group gift from ::GABRIEL::. These unisex sneakers were just 10L at Duh! and come with both black and white versions in the box. However, if you’re a new resident under 30 days old, you can pick up a free pair at the front desk of the in-world store.

At the rate I’m going, we won’t be having fish for dinner tonight.

Friday GuyDay: Fields of Green and Gold

With all the new ladies here at FabFree, I thought maybe we could use an infusion of testosterone. So I made an “executive decision” and declared Friday to be GuyDay. It’s still Friday where I am, so I can just squeak this one in under the wire.

My outfit today is made up of a variety of freebies, group gifts, and one very good deal. First, the good deal, which is this mesh sweater and t-shirt by Kauna that Serena picked up for me at this month’s Collabor88. For 288L, you get 5 different colored cardigans, with 5 different colors of t-shirts. You can mix and match the sweaters and t-shirts, or even wear the t-shirts without the cardigan, if you choose. So that’s… what… about 29L per item? Not free, but not a bad deal, either. All items come in standard mesh sizing. You can’t have too many t-shirts and sweaters, can you?

Now, the freebies: these mesh jeans are the current group gift from [meshTheory]. The group is 150L to join, but there are quite a few gifts for both men and women out, and a new gift is available each month. My hat/hair is this month’s group gift from SF Design (100L to join). Both the hat and the hair are color change (and resizeable), so there’s sure to be something for everyone. Mirrors Enigma @ The Boho Culture Fair

The Boho Culture Fair opened up on the 15th of October, and will run for just two weeks until the end of the month. At this fair you will find a delicious spread of boho themed urban casual fashions such as accessories, hair, skins, clothing, poses, and so much more. Not only are the designers participating featuring exclusive designs at great prices, but most of them have gifts or dollarbies out too – like one of my faves in Second Life, Mirrors Enigma!

Mirror’s Enigma is featuring their mesh Bohemian Dress in a few different colours (175L) that includes the dress and the shredded pants, and co-ordinating mesh Cowboy Boots (195L). They are also offering their newly released Sally Skin packs (600L), and as a special gift for visitors of the fair, they have the matching Sally Lipstick Tattoos out for just 1L!

The Shadow Lord Choker and mesh Leather Bracelet I have added to this outfit are both unisex and are free group gifts at RONSEM*. This group is free to join, and there are a ton of great urban gifts set out for both men and women. (not at the fair – this is at their mainstore)

Below you can see close-ups of the Sally Skin in the Ivory Skin Tone. It is available in a few different tones, but this one I think suited me best today. The packs are HUGE, and include five different make ups with teeth options and cleavage options for all of them as well as three shapes, two pairs of eyes and even a pair of mesh eyelashes.

The dollarbie which can be found in their shop at TBCF for just 1L includes 7 different colours of the Sally lips…
… As well as the lips with a teeth option! How’s that for a deal?!? I tried these lipstick tattoos on with other skins too, and they worked well on them too.

Find It Sale @ Crash Republic

Crash Republic is having a FIND IT SALE from May 7- May 10, 2012. For three days you can visit Crash Republic on The Jersey Shore sim and search around the store for items of clothing that are priced at 1L, 10L, 30L & 50L each! I also noticed they have a sweet group gift (free to join) at the front of the store which is the Innocent Dress shown above. The Loop Belt in Lime I snagged for 1L.

Below I am modelling the Zombie Tee in purple (30L) and the Blythe Bottoms in black (10L). I can hardly wait for fall to roll around so that I can watch the third season of The Walking Dead. LOVE this T-shirt!

I also spied the Tie Dye Tank (10L) and Vintage Jeggings (1L) both in grey. There are many more fantastic deals to be found. These are just a few of the things that I personally found. I did see that they still have their Grand Opening Gift available (blogged here), and some previous hunt items sitting in a basket for 10L each at the front of the store.

Before I forget to mention… the hair I am wearing is called Mai and is a free gift sitting in a gift bag on the floor in the hair section at Ronsem!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this look! The Goldenrod Surrey boots are a must have from Baby Monkey. These boots are free until tomorrow, so get them now! The gray Crash sweater is a hunt gift from RONSEM that was given last month. If you missed the sweater there are other colors available for L$120. The ripped blue jeans are from the Spice Prepster gift at Breathtaking & Divine. You can see the rest of this ensemble below including jeans, mini spice dress and undershirts.

The gold No.59 glasses are a group gift for the December members. There is a L$100 fee to join the December group, if you are not in the December group the glasses are also available on the lucky board! Iconic is offering the Akina! mohawk hair for free in the onyx and cherry colors.

The awesome Sugar Cat multicolor prim nails are a group gift from MONS. The Planet bracelets and Blur earrings are other gifts you will find at MONS. The bracelets and earrings come in an array of colors. The plum “Cry” sweater is L$100 at Petunia.

As winter approaches there can never be enough cozy sweaters. The green Roll Neck sweater is a group gift at ::NiCo::.

The CHIC inc. opening special includes the Frankie skins for only L$10. The gift come with the rose smoke Frankie skins with freckles, pure, and with hairbase options.
