Afternoon Interrupted

Oh no! Gavin and I were spending a relaxing afternoon together, and now I walk in to find that Nessie has left me a little… present! BAD NESSIE! Sigh… it has really been one of those days, so I guess this should be no surprise.

While I’m cleaning up, take a look at Gavin. He’s wearing the new Chris skin/shape/hair from REDGRAVE. Not free, but soooo handsome! His outfit, on the other hand, is free, and is the .:Mr. Hunter Hunt:. v.IV gift from Shadow Moon (0L). It includes the mesh shirt and vest, pants, and boots. There’s also a pair of sunglasses in the box, but instead he’s wearing these new Smoovies glasses from the Bitch/Bastard Store. For 1L, you get your choice of 4 different colored lenses. The frames also come in tortoise shell, if that’s more to your liking, and there are sizes for the ladies, as well (1L each).

As for me, I’m wearing a mesh outfit from {Liv-Glam} which is currently featured at Fi*Friday for only 55L. My shoes are one of the new group gifts at Baby Monkey (250L to join), and come in 9 different colors. I’m once again wearing the Classic Pearls jewelry from Lazuri, this time in completely different colors. Oh, and my skin is from [ROCKBERRY], and is currently featured as a free gift at FabFree Headquarters. Uma comes in 4 different skin tones.

Poison in the Water

I’ll admit that I know almost nothing about Gorean culture and role-play, but I do know a good mesh dress when I see one! This Poison dress is the latest group gift from ::The Sweet Pea::, a new-to-me store selling Gorean/Medieval clothing for women. I love the rich, vibrant colors and the sexy cut of the collar. ::The Sweet Pea:: group is free to join, and you’ll find the dress in the notices — but hurry, because it will only be there for a few more days! I’m carrying water from the well using one of The Water Bearer poses from *~*HopScotch*~*, on sale at the current round of Zodiac – Aquarius (ends 13 February). It Was A Cold Winter Night… Outside These Four Walls

It may have been a cold, winter night outside, but inside these four walls, it was warm and cozy! Like Love, I recently did a little Cold Winter Nights Hunting. And she did not exaggerate about how fabulous the prizes are in this hunt! Check out Love’s post here for more information about the Cold Winter Night Hunt and for photos of some of the great prizes she picked up.

I invited Gavin over to see my new Little Getaway Skybox, the CWNH prize from Designer Prims. I had so much fun playing with the options on this amazing skybox that I may have gotten an eensy bit carried away. Seriously though, there is almost nothing you can’t mod, so you can customize it to be whatever you want it to be. There’s a menu-driven panel to change the floor, brick walls, and accent wood; the rest you can just re-texture yourself. Trust me, your 10L will be well spent on this one! The furniture you see here (most of it) is part of the hunt prize from Cleo Design. It includes two different sofas, a rug, coffee table with candles and fruit, a magazine rack, and a mirror and set of pictures that you can’t see in this picture. Again, I went a little nuts playing with the color options on the sofas. They come with several fun animations, and even dispense props! The lovely artwork you see over the green sofa not a hunt prize, but is a gift from Whiskey Monday to celebrate the first anniversary of Atelier Kreslo. There is also second gift, which I’ll show you in a bit.

I had this empty back wall and nothing to fill it up, so I accidentally on-purpose wandered off into another hunt: The Four Walls Hunt.

The Four Walls Hunt runs until January 31st, and includes 37 stores. All prizes are 20L, but are valued at 200L or more. Be sure to visit the official blog for prize photos and SLURLs. You’ll be hunting for an evergreen tree in a cardboard box.

Ok, back to my empty wall: I saw a picture of the Miller Dresser and Positive Words Art from PILOT and decided that I absolutely had to have it. Can you believe the dresser is only 2 L.I.? Oh, and see that cakestand full of delicious cupcakes? Another Four Walls prize, this time from Sway’s. It comes with the plates and cups you saw on the table in the previous pictures, as well as a couple of cute wall-hangings. Yummy! The Bird Cage Lamp is not a hunt item, but rather a free gift from Sway’s. There is also a smaller version in the box. Over in the corner is another non-hunt item, the Mayfair Trunk (Old Glory), a VIP group gift from {what next} (250L to join). The bookcase and furnishings inside are part of the skybox.

Gavin is such a “Sheldon” that I decided to pick up the Star Party star-gazing set, the CWNH prize from -Hanaya-. It is mesh, weighs in at 9 L.I., and comes with menu-driven animations for up to three avatars. It’s really a lot of fun to play with. Hey, looks like Gavin found something!

Here is an outside view of the skybox. The inside brick texture carries to the outside wall. There is a door on the other side, in case you decide to put your home on land instead of floating in the sky.

More evidence of my “modding madness”: I took out the fireplace that came with the skybox and added this Oak Fireplace, the CWNH prize from [Barnesworth Anubis]. The mirror over the mantle and the two pictures to the left of the fireplace are part of the Cleo Design CWNH prize. And the little daisy on a chair is the other anniversary gift from Atelier Kreslo; it comes in 3 sizes, with this one being the largest. To the right of the fireplace is the Pallet Log Box, the most recent VIP group gift from {what next}. Gavin and I decided to finish off those cupcakes; we’re snuggling in the Warming Up couples pose, the CWNH prize from Atooly.

Oh, and about what we’re wearing: Gavin’s beautifully textured mesh sweater is the CWNH prize from {Epicosity}, and my sparkly Pom Pom sweater is the prize from ::PurpleMoon::. My pants are not a hunt prize, but I’ll tell you about them anyway: they are the R.icielli Mesh SALLY Skinny Pants, available for 10L on the Marketplace. You get 10 different colors in the box, each in 5 standard sizes. How’s that for a deal? Catching Snowflakes

Have A Cynful Halloween

Have you found the perfect Halloween look yet? This Spiderweb Lace dress is a dollarbie at Cynful. I was looking for a witch hat to complete the look, but have yet to find one this year. The Betty Lou hair has been shown by all of our female bloggers. This hair comes in every color and was sent to Exile sub-o members this week.

The silver Spidra necklace, earrings, arm band, and ring are a group gift for Vendome members. The jewelry has little spiders with red eyes crawling across it! Perfect for Halloween!!! Faint At Heart

I am so excited about these gifts that I am showing you today!! Magika has a new subscribo gift out. If you are not a current member, simply subscribe and grab your gift!! Finding FabFree 41 – 60

Fabulously Free are celebrating 5 years! We all know how time feels in SL. Days can seem like weeks, weeks like months and years like a life time so this is a huge achievement!

Furnishings Friday #4 – A Cozy Corner

TGIFF because I have some cozy furniture/furnishings to share with you today!

You can find the “Cozy Corner” shown above that includes the rug, two chairs with multiple single animated poses, the table and decorative plant at Rockberry to cozy up a corner of your own. The Coat Hanger hanging on the wall is 8 prims and can be found for free in the Zigana Marketplace Store. It comes in three colours to match up with whatever theme you have going on! The glowy Light Bulbs can also be found in the Zigana Marketplace Store as a free gift. You have your choice of white or black cords and the bulbs have a touch colour change hud.

I have also got some free and nearly free clothing treats in this post! The Denim Mesh Dress I have on today is a 1L promo made by Soul Glitter. It comes in several sizes to suit your avatar and it can be found on marketplace. My wedge sandals are the latest group gift at Beach Walk Cafe. The group is free to join. By hitting the subscribo at Poised you will be gifted with the long black “Sparks” Dress above. The prim ribbon at the neckline is adorable as is the design of the dress with its puffy shoulders and mesh inserts.

The skin I am wearing you can also pick up for free, but it’s not as easy as a subscribo slap… This one you’ll have to stalk on the lucky boards for at Rockberry. It’s called Megan A Lucky/Tan and looks great with blonde or light brown hair.
