Riddle me a Vintage Summer

Today I felt like relaxing by the shore, so I grabbed a cute tote and went to my favorite beach.  The bags come in five different colors and are hidden in the water bottles in the two RibboN stores.  The mandarin stripe Summer Border top is a new gift in the C’est la vie lucky board.  I paired the shirt with white discounted jeans from INDI Designs for this week’s Taste of SL.

I also picked up the Vintage Floral dress for C’est la vie group members.  This dress is perfect for a warm day.  The Tracy hat hair is from Amacci.  There is a Summer Hair Sale going on at Amacci and packs of 6-7 colors are L$85 each!  This includes all hairstyles!!!

The denim Kaley dress was sent to the Sweeter Than Candy sub-o members this morning.  Sweeter Than Candy is a really amazing sub-o to join with lots of gifts.

Riddle group members were sent the violet Beach Time dress this morning.  There is a L$100 enrollment fee to join the Riddle update group.

Taste of SL Hunt: Part 1

Taste of Second Life turns 1 year old in June and the participating designers are celebrating by having a month long grid hunt and gatcha boardwalk sale at the Aleoxhol Mall!   The Taste of SL hunt begins June 15th and ends July 15th.  The starting point is Alexohol Fashions.  Here are some of the goodies that can be found on the hunt.

It’s a Riddle

I don’t have any jokes to tell, but I do want to tell you about the new group for Riddle lovers. The new Riddle group has a L$100 fee and members have been showered with gifts.  The black lace mini dress was recently sent to Riddle members for April.  There is also a pack of 11 retro t-shirts that were sent to group members over a week ago.  I still have 10 shirts to try on, but I adore the maroon retro shirt shown below.

Holi Poli encounters the mysterious Riddle…

Hey guys! So, it’s been a little while since I last posted anything. First let me apologize for that. Things in my real life haven’t gone according to plan. I’ve been a little too under the weather due to complications with my health. Please forgive me! I hope you will after I show you some goodies I’ve found on the grid!

I logged in-world today to find a gift! ** [ Riddle ] ** has sent this adorable floral vintage sweatshirt to its subscribe-o-matic members. This is just ONE of the colors that came in the pack. Shown here is blue. Also included are: green, gray, pink, purple and teal! There are no resize scripts, but the attachments are modifiable so you can mold them to fit your shape.

Later on in the day, I had an opportunity to dress up. I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to wear something… blue.

“Dance with me” is a beautiful formal mini dress from HoliPoli. This dress is available on the Midnight Mania board at the main store. Store owner Holiday Blitz has recently rebuilt an entire sim and adds new scenery all the time. Feel free to wander around, it’s a really cute sim! But I digress, back to the clothes! I love the contrasting blue hues on this dress, but if you prefer a more solid color, fear not! This is a two pack!

The skirts both have resize scripts so you can achieve the perfect fit. After you have sized it, a drop down menu will appear offering you the chance to delete the scripts if you wish. This is a good option for those who have no intention of changing their shape. For those “like me” who tend to grow bigger boobs and a bigger butt, or reduce the butt to nothing depending on the outfit, it may be wise to hang on to the scripts for later. ONLY 15 SLAPS NEEDED ON THIS BOARD TO LOCK IT! 3 are currently already registered so hurry! The board changes weekly. Also while you are there, seek a lucky heart on the main floor. I’ve heard that it’s loaded with some adorable outfits… not that I would know, that heart hates me.

Designer Showcase in January

Have you been to the Designer Showcase event?  There are extremely well made items from designers throughout the grid all at L$100 or less.  Here are a few of the things I picked up to show you.  The Wrought Iron Whimsy Gateway is only L$100 from <!WorN?> Weather! or not? at Designer Showcase.  There are three different styles included, I’m showing the ornate version because I really like the details!

The outfit from [ Riddle ] is quite possibly my favorite thing at the Designer Showcase.  This L$99 outfit includes three different brown argyle stockings, the red candy apple Basic Sweater dress, and brown Winter Blues coat.  The red Holiday glasses from [BUTT-ERR] are L$50 and the silver Shroom necklace from Gypsys! is only L$100 at the Designer Showcase.  Both these accessories really pull the look together to make a statement.

The red Sheath dress with lacy black blouse is only L$99 from Smushyface at the Designer Showcase.  I think the dress looks really fun with the Heartz fishnets from {.Mocha.}.  The fishnets come with four different styles for only L$100.  The Gala texture change jewelry set from is L$75 at the Designer Showcase.  If you like to wear lots of jewelry then this is the set for you!  The Skoochers 2 shoes are L$30 from HOC Industries at Designer Showcase.  These shoes have 3 different colors and can be resized to fit men or women.

Every classy lady needs a fur bolero.  The black Fur Bolero and hat from Eshi Otawara are only L$50 at the Designer Showcase.  I used the Winter 4 makeup from GLAM! Skins to change up the new Sylvan skin for Exodi group members.  The GLAM! Skins makeup layer is L$75.  I swear I have this lipstick in RL and wear it all the time, so of course I love this makeup!

In this cold winter season so we all are sporting coats and jackets, most are wearing them with shirts underneath though.  I really like the L$100 plum Les Bleuets jacket from The Secret Store because it has an oriental look.  For a more down home country look, the Woolen Bodywarmer vest is L$99 from Instinct Inc. at the Designer Showcase.  The Stars and Flower Flourish tattoo is only L$75 from Oddity spices up the ensemble a bit.  There also is a male tattoo available!  The Hatter is Mad Blackjack 21 hat is L$100 at Designer Showcase and brought out the cowgirl in me.  The green Gwen flats from ~Hurrem~ are L$100 at the Designer Showcase.

The Wintertime Bird Feeder is only L$99 from -Hanaya- at the Designer Showcase.  I really like that the feeder includes bird props so you can pose extra birds to eat the feed that has spilled out.  If you’re looking for a nice gown, the dark red glitter gown with pearls from *marret* is L$90.

I’m an angel and capture hearts in the Obedient wing set from >>MeKa<< and the Jar of Hearts necklace from JoJo.  The wings are L$60 and the necklace is L$79 at the Designer Showcase.  The long brown Clarissa hair from [Urf!Urf!] is L$100 at the Designer Showcase.  [Urf!Urf!] is a new to me store and I can’t wait to go explore the main store!

Christmas in eXxEsS

Lucky Little Hippy Do!

The Riddle store has some great lucky chair prizes for the hippie in all of us!  One chair is filled with jeans, shorts, and capris in white, light blue, medium blue, dark blue, and nearly black.  The other chair has giraffe pumps and zebra pumps in purple.

The vanilla Hippy Do hair style is from the Lucky chair at the Curl Up and Dye Salon.  Such an adorable style, great for parties or every day hippie girls!

What’s a hippie girl to wear, but a rainbow jewelry and tee.  The gray tank, rainbow jewelry, orange and turquoise retro t-shirts are gifts from Sasquatch Design.  These freebies and dollarbies are available indefinitely.  Also there are a few tees available for L$5.   These are on the back wall with the normal priced shirts.

There is also a 27 minute camp chair at Sasquatch Design.  Camp for 27 minutes and receive a fat pack of plain colored tanks.
