Seeing Green On St. Patrick’s Day

Just when I said I wasn’t going to wear green today, I’m wearing green today… but only because I needed to show this sweet deal before it was gone! I hope this doesn’t interfere with any pinches I would have been given for not wearing green on St. Patrick’s Day!

Fashion For Life, which is an event held to help raise funds for Relay For Life ends today, Sunday March 17th, so if you haven’t had a chance to go check it out, today is the day! Make sure you stop at the Masoom shop and pick up this romantic mesh Liza Dress in Lime which you can find for 1L!

Christmas Expo 2012

The Second Annual Christmas Expo in support of The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life has begun and runs until December 19th! This is a fantastic time to do some Christmas shopping for your besties and SL family or pick up something sweet for yourself! There are several beautifully decorated regions full of exclusive designs benefiting the American Cancer Society and each vendor is offering a free naughty or nice gift! Don’t worry if you are naughty the first time around, you’ll get one or two more chances to redeem yourself and claim your nice prize!

Not only is the shopping fantastic, but there are also events such as the The Amazing Race, The Breedables Live Auction, Live DJs and and plenty of entertainment. This wonderful charity event is very easy to move around with a handy teleport board! You can even have your picture taken with Santa!

Below I am wearing three of the free gifts you can find at the Christmas Expo. Sassy!’s gift is the Sakura Gown in green which can be worn several different ways. I think I like it best as the corseted formal, but you can wear it how ever it suits you best! The colour is a deep holiday green – perfect for this time of year.

At Amacci, they are giving away the Insight Snowy Eyes that even comes with a sparkle. The earrings displayed are the Quatro Stud Earrings in Emerald and Ruby that you will find at Earthstones.

The Bliensen & MaiTai Corazon Necklace I have on today is not part of the Christmas Expo, but it is also free through the Peace On Earth Hunt 5! Locate the hidden globe at their mainstore and you’ll have this adorable winged heart necklace.

Wishing For Legs

It has been a couple days since the Fantasy Faire 2012 started and I am still visiting my way through the sims and the shops within the sims and there really is a HUGE fantasy side to Second Life I had no idea about! There are trolls, and elves and all sorts of mystical creatures wandering, flying and swimming around the sims taking in the events. One could really go just to creature watch and be amazed by the creativity of some of these outfits/avatars people have put together with the talented creators of Second Life.

Another shop I am in love with at the Fantasy Faire 2012 is Mermaid Treasure & Boutique which is on the Siren’s Secret Sim. They have several donation items (Relay For Life) at their Faire location as well as some beautiful new releases. The Mermesh Mermaid in purple I am wearing above includes the mesh fins as well as the seashell bra and can be yours with a minimum donation of 250L. The Tribal Accessories in purple you see peeking out of my hair are a 100L donation item.

Below I am modelling the Lo’s Passion Mermaid Set (min. 500L donation item) and the Limited Edition Crystal Mermaid Crown Set that includes the crown and also the necklace in purple. (min. 100L donation item).

If there is one thing a mermaid always wishes to do, it’s dance on real legs and the Merrow Pavillion below is the perfect place to do it. I’m On Stranger Tides

Have you visited the Fantasy Faire 2012yet? This mystical fair starts today, Saturday April 21st, and runs until Sunday April 29th. Thousands of Second Life residents and designers rally together to help support The American Cancer Society. There are many activities and events going on such as live music concerts, auctions, jail and bail and of course shopping in the merchant shops of the creators participating in event spread out over nine AMAZING looking sims.

Pacific Sunrise, which can be found on The Siren’s Secret Sim, has a few donation items in their shop at The Fantasy Faire! For a minimum donation of just 300L (each) you can pick up the Syrena On Stranger Tides Mermaid Outfit in the women’s version shown above, and also an adorable petite version below for those very popular new Fallen Gods Petite avatars. The mermaid outfits include all sorts of fun fishy layers like skin gloss, and scales as well as different modesty tops. If you are in the market for a new mermaid outfit, make sure you head down to the Fantasy Faire 2012 and support the cause too!

Both of the hair styles I am wearing are mesh and are currently featured at the Wasabi Pills Fantasy Faire shop on The Tides Sim. The hair I am wearing as Big Love is Hawk2 which is brand new and the hair I am wearing as Petite Love is Orion. Fantasy Faire 2010

The Fantasy Faire 2010 is underway. In association with the American Cancer Society, it aims to raise money to fight and spread awareness of Cancer in all its forms. There are nine sims for you to explore and there are heaps of goodies.. you will be spoilt for choice.

Today I wandered on the Elvencourt Sim and the Wings Wands Wonders sims but will do posts on other sims during the week.

There are lots of freebies available including a mini hunt where you are searching for little ribbons around the sims.. but I do encourage all those who can to be able to make a donation in one form or another.. no matter how small. Merchants have special items up for sale using Charity Vendors where all proceeds go to the American Cancer Society and there are donation kiosks dotted around the sims if you feel you cannot afford to buy something but would like to help the fight against cancer.

I will be showing you a mix of both free, low priced and Charity Vendor items. If you get the chance please please do visit and help to make this event a success.

Evies Closet is the main sponser of Elvencourt Sim. There are two 50L gowns here and a free munch fairy for all visitors!

This is one of Evies Relay for Life Donation Items called Fable. In a sumptious purple which, you get a full gown plus the options of a mini and a lingerie version.

The outfit costs 500L and all proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

Haven Designs have a dollarbie gift by their subscribo matic of two tops and a set of earrings and they have several Donation kiosks with items of different values.

I bought the Limited Edition Selah dress for 350L which was made by Tyranny Designs and the Flix RFL Exclusive for 100L.

Angelwing have this adorable Fae set called Anakarina for free inside their stall

aswell as a vast array of gowns, silks and medeval inspired outfits. They have two gorgeous Donatation gowns out also

Both are 200L.

7 Selections have a set of freebie wings if you click the book in their stall. There are three in the set, but here are two of them. The textures wouldnt rez on the third as SL loves Mondays and so refused to work properly for me *pouts*

They come with a HUD so you can change their size and make them move or static. They also have two sets of wings up on Donation Vendors.

This is the darker set for 100L which also comes with a HUD. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

Material Squirrel have two donation items out one of them being these gorgeous wings for 199L.

They really are absolutely stunning and they really do shimmer!

Bunneh Baby!

Belle Belle has the most adorable Easter gift out for the group members. The Happy Bunneh Baby is soooo sweet!!! Just join the Belle Belle update group and touch the basket for your very own Bunneh Baby!

There are five different dresses for five different SD Wears events! Three of the dresses are L$10 each and two are completely free.

I’m gonna tell you how to find these dresses in the order they are shown, so pay close attention. ❶ The Bunneh Easter dress is the Mixed Up Bunneh hunt prize. RELAY FOR LIFE Teddy Bear Hunt at AFO / SYD Style Your Destiny

Teagan Blackthorne (SYD Style Your Destiny), one of our generous designers, dropped me her dollarbies Mei Rainbow Calligraphy Dress as well as her Black Ballet Flats. Both items are available in her store (I think, the ballet flats are a FabFree group gift too … not sure). Ballet Flats I love in any case, and a black pair is great ! They goes with any skirt or pants … but best with the rainbow colored and funny “calligraphed” Kanti Dress. Thanks, Teagan!

Quickie: Wearing SYD`s Black Ballet Flats and her Mei Rainbow Calligraphy Dress I deciced to check out the Relay For Life Teddybear Hunt at AFO (again Teagan Blackthorne pointed this hunt out to us, thanks!).

There are 32 small teddy bears in white and pink scattered over the mall. Mama Bear is missing her children, so tp over and lend a helping hand! If you find a tiny teddy, click on it and buy it for 0 Linden. There are great items like hair and clothes to get. As usual I was in a hurry (sooo many hunts!) and I didn´t have time enough to found all teddies but I catched a few. And not to forget, also there are RFL vendors. I bought myself a cute Itty Bitty RFL teddiy (pink & white – 50 Linden, the pink one is sitting on my shoulder). Well, I found Blue Corset+Undies by Asri Falcone, Brown Linen Dress Top+Glitch Pants as well as a Blue Nina Coat by DawnShop. Further from GG`s Boutique a Black Tank Top (4 options to wear it), Bryan`s Luna Pants and Black+Brown Pants. The crazy hair Toxic Caramel comes from A&K Design.

This hunt is a 2 days event (not sure if it ends today!), so if you can spare some time, head over to the Relay For Life Teddy Bear Hunt at AFO and grab your teddies with amazing goodies from great designers before they are gone! Oh, and don´t forget to buy the sweet Itty Bitty RFL Teddy, it is for a good cause!

A few words about the skin I´m wearing. It´s Cher´s Flower Patch Skin, a FabFree group gift. First I want to say “Thank you, Cher!” You are always doing such a great work, also with Eloh Eliot´s skins, and you are always sharing it with “all people”. And second: this Flower Patch Skin was the first skin that made me squeal *grin* I´m usually not that nature of woman, but seeing this skin I made strange noises like “eeeeh, cuteeeee, weeeh, sweeeeet” and so on …. a bit painful …………. *coughs* However, I love this skin, now the “Flower Power Girl” I used to be ways ago is back again *smiles happily*

QUICKIE: ::69:: WILTED ROSEs for TOUME

There are 2 lovely, inventive dresses at TOUME YAO´s shop for free but only today so hurry! Yao Toume offers Toume Tenue Julia Dress in rouge and blue (pictured on a big sign inside the store). I like this assymetric style.

Wilted Rose has added 16 new hairstyles (about 20 Linden each) to the newbie hair wall as well as vendors for Relay of Life.

There are skin ad (10 L, gothic style), bikini ad (100 L), meshed up ad (50 L) and a pretty flower necklace in purple for 1 Linden. Feel free to donate more *smile*

At 69`s new mainstore a treasure hunt is going on to celebrate the new store. You have to find 6 hidden treasures (rings) all around the store, each costs a Linden. You will get amazing shoes! I hope you are more lucky than I and can see all the nice and cute stuff in this store. Everybody is talking about it but I was so lagged and nothing was rezzing. So I was only able to find 2 hidden rings. Hmm, doesn´t matter, the hunt lasts until March, 25 th. I´ll go back tomorrow and check it out. I`ve found Marguerite Pink Check Pumps and Nightmare Black Pumps.
