My Dressing Room in the Sky

It’s true: I use an entire skybox as a closet. My inventory is seriously out of control, so I’ve had to start storing my clothing stash in the sky. But I just can’t help myself when there are hunt prizes as wonderful as this one! My gorgeous mesh dress is The Runway Perfect Hunt prize from Prism. All prizes in this hunt are 5L, and you have until May 31st to pick them up. Love told you a bit about this hunt a few days ago. You’ll be looking for a black and gray rectangle that looks something like a tiny runway.

I was so excited to open my group notices from [Mock] Cosmetics and find these pretty Pink Glitter nail appliers for Slink Avatar Enhanced Hands. It’s great to see so many designers getting on the appliers bandwagon. My lemony-yellow butterfly jewelry is the current group gift from Virtual Impressions (free to join).

This amazing dressing area and vanity table are The Runway Perfect Hunt prize from ::WetCat:: (click to enlarge the photo). That’s right, the whole thing! Prisms of Love

I have a bit of a quickie post for you this time! I was down at Prism and noticed they have a few hunts going on. I located the “Let Your Creations Be Known Hunt” icon (which is a little bench) in store, and inside the hunt icon was the non-mesh Collette Outfit that includes the Sweater, Skirt & Sweater Sash shown.   This particular hunt ends tomorrow, Monday March 31st, so you’ll need to act quickly!  Make sure you check their hunt boards for more fantastic prizes too!

Marching Into Prism

Soleil, Candy, and Coco at the Beach

That title sounds like an exotic drink, and to be honest, I could really have used one today. For starters, it was Monday, and that should have been bad enough, right? Well, it wasn’t, and making matters worse, my car battery was DOA this morning, leaving me grounded for the day, and my dog left me a little “gift” on the carpet. Thankfully, I didn’t get any gum on my shoes like Love did, but I did run into a couple of doors. Sheesh! So the first chance I got, I grabbed my bag and headed out to the beach for a little peace and quiet.

Needing something comfy to wear, I slipped into this pretty, mesh maxi-dress, which is Prism’s Night of the Wolf Hunt gift (#87). Just perfect for strolling along a sunny SL beach in January.

In my “stressful day survival kit,” I have all the essentials for relaxing at the beach: water, sunscreen, my iPad, and a couple of fashion mags. Yesterday, I showed you a skin by {.essences.}, which is available this month at The Dressing Room Fusion. Turns out that {.essences.} is participating in the Womenstuff Hunt, and has this lovely Soleil skin (below) out as one of their gifts. I think she has a very youthful, fresh-faced look, don’t you? And the name just calls out for sunshine!

The Many Facets of Prism

I’d like to join with Love in offering my deepest sympathies to all who were affected by today’s terrible tragedy in Connecticut. I have a little one at home myself, and I can’t even begin to comprehend what those parents and families must be going through right now. So very sad.

Sigh…

Many stores on the grid are quite generous with group gifts and hunt prizes, and Prism is certainly one of those stores. Every time I visit, I’m amazed at all the fabulous gifts. Above, I’m wearing Holly, one of the December group gifts. It comes with the pants, belt, and lovely brocade corset. The Prism group is free to join.

My skin is the current group gift from Al Vulo, and is called Eleonor * Son of Flowers. I’m not typically a “freckle person,” but I really think this skin looks pretty with my red hair (confession: I added a bit of lip gloss). The Al Vulo group is also free to join. My hair is called Koko, and is one of the advent gifts from *Alice Project*. My earrings, necklace, and bangles are part of Ear Candy’s Candy Cane 4 Hunt gift. Actually, I think I’ll wear this luscious Lucia dress, which is Prism’s Peace on Earth Hunt gift. I love the sparkly shrug over the plunging, green top. Yummy! My sky-high pumps are a lucky board prize from Baby Monkey… can you believe that I walked into the store thinking, “come on, mama needs a new pair of red pumps,” and there was a big S on the board! That almost never happens to me!

As much as I love dressing up for a party, I also enjoy relaxing in a comfy sweater and jeans. This Funky Christmas Tree Sweater is another group gift from Prism. I’ve slipped on the cute Bally flats from Lindy’s Peace on Earth Hunt prize (there’s also a pair of black heels in the box), and have taken off my lip gloss, so you can see my skin in it’s pristine state.

Furnishings Friday #16: An Intervention For Guys

Furnishings Friday #11 – I’ve Got The Swimming Pool Blues

 This week for Furnishing’s Friday I have decided to feature some of the structures, furniture and home decorating items you can find in The Swimming Pool Blues Hunt.  This hunt runs until August 31st, and everything in the hunt is blue themed and just 5L.  The hunt icon you are searching for is the blue cube shown below.  You can find more information on this hunt and a complete list with slurls, hints and photo previews at the following link -

At L&K Prefabs you will find Ma Petite Maison (bleu) which is the little blue house shown above.  This little unfurnished home is 62 prims and has a little loft with a ladder inside.
