Just Because the Gentleman Needed a Makeover

When I invited Gavin over this afternoon, it was under the pretense that we would be watching the Lakers play Miami… or something like that. But surprise! Gavin was ambushed, and I dragged him out to get some new clothes. Seriously, I was so sick and tired of seeing him in those holey jeans and raggedy t-shirts with the ring-around-the-collar. It was way past time for some new threads!

Gavin is glaring at me with the free Oriental Pearl eyes from Poetic Colors; you can find them on the back wall under the Freebie sign. His taupe mesh sweater is the Thugs, Studs and Gentlemen Hunt gift from [American Bazaar] and his mesh jeans are the TSGH gift from ~Moonlight Pointe Creations~. All gifts in the TSGH are free (0L). We added the texture-changing Wide Scarf from ::[Mr.Poet]::, and a pair of brown dress shoes from ::GABRIEL::. Oh, and he’s wearing the men’s version of Chop Zuey’s Karma Earth Slv ring, which is a free gift for everyone (no group needed). I showed the ladies version here.

My jeans and Autumn Harlequin sweater are the 2nd Anniversary group gift from *Just Because* (free to join). My boots are not free, but I just couldn’t help myself. Navidad Flurries for Miss Candy Cane

Today was a great day for playing in the snow… and I’m so glad I had these snuggly group gifts from Tres Beau to keep me warm! For the past few days, Tres Beau has been putting “12 Days of Christmas” gifts under the tree, all of which should add up to about 5 different, complete outfits. This one included the mesh sweater and boots, leggings, mittens, and earmuffs. The gifts are free to group members, but there is a 100L fee to join the group. Gorgeous gifts are given to members throughout the year, so the fee is most definitely worth it! My necklace was yesterday’s advent gift from Virtual Impressions – gifts are for group members, but the group is free to join. My hair is by Tableau Vivant, and I picked it up at this month’s round of The Arcade for 50L (there’s also a male version in the box). This shivery pose is part of the Freeze set by aDORKable Poses for the Peace on Earth Hunt.

Yikes, look at the time! I’d better get ready for my date tonight. Thank goodness this glittery gold outfit – including mesh leggings, blouse, and shoes – was also under the tree at Tres Beau! My hair is a previous advent gift from *Alice Project*, my earrings were a gift from Chop Zuey, and my Christmas Pearls eyes were a gift from Poetic Colors. No group-join is needed for any of these last three. My skin is the third in Glam Affair’s Amberly Frostbite collection available at Collabor88.

It’s a girl’s prerogative to change her mind, right? I’ve decided to wear this sexy little Miss Candy Cane dress instead. The dress, hat, shoes, and even jewelry were all gifts from Tres Beau (the dress comes in mesh and non-mesh versions). I’m sure to turn some heads in this outfit!

Mirror’s Enigma has moved to a brand new location, and have some big news!  They have started making clothing AND, have a new free group gift out!  I am displaying the newly released Avarice Tube Top which comes with the capris shown.  It’s mesh, like a lot of their new fashions and is available in several colours!

Never turn your back on a well-dressed GizzA man

I found myself all alone on Halloween night. So I rummaged through my closet and and put together a tweed jacket and blue jeans that I picked up from the October group gift at GizzA. I slipped into some suede saddle shoes I found over at dirty.little.secret (not free) in their August men’s collection and headed down to the local pub. A full moon was out that night but you wouldn’t know it due to the dense fog that had rolled in shortly after sunset. The pub was packed with people throwing a Halloween party, so I slipped past everyone to the bar among yells berating me for not dressing up in a costume. I had a couple of beers and toward the end of the night  I noticed one gorgeous lady leave the pub fairly early in the evening, followed closely by a couple of men who looked like they had not-so-nice intentions.

I left the bar and followed the men outside to see what they were up to. They were tailing the young woman as she entered a darkened alley (why do they always do that in the movies?) By the time I rounded the corner, they had her trapped at the end of the alley up against a wall.  It was then that I looked up and noticed the moon peek through the fog and a sudden transformation came over me. I had been used to changing into a werewolf three nights a month since I was 15 y rs old so I carefully removed my clothes and folded them in a neat pile before the change was complete. I watched for a minute as they threatened her, before saying, “Nice night for a walk, eh fellas?”  When they turned and saw me, they ran off into the night, all thoughts of harassing the young lady fleeing from their minds. Judging from the scent they left behind, I think one of them may have actually wet his pants. The young lady had feinted, probably in relief of the two thugs having run away, so I picked her up and carried her back to the pub doorway.

I then returned to retrieve my clothes and change back to my human self.  By the time I got back to the pub the young woman was awake. I made sure she was alright and then asked her why she would go down a dark alley late at night. She replied, “I saw it in a movie once.”
