Ruffling Polka Dots

The Cosmopolitan Club is celebrating their first anniversary this weekend, and to celebrate they have several super cute sponsored gifts from some of our favourite designers.  When you join the Cosmopolitan Club VIP group (which is free), you gain access to tons of gifts at the landing point, as well as there are some free group  gifts in the sales room, and also within the shops in the mall area.  Virgo has placed out this adorable mesh Polka Dot Ruffle Swim Suit in green for us to take advantage of and it is even cuter inworld than it is in the photos.  Perfect for a day at the beach!  I do believe Goldie will be up next to show you some more of the great gifts available

Hollywood in Pink!

I just can’t get enough of the swag bag gifts and exclusives at .the event. HOLLYWOOD!  There are so many awesome things to find there, free and not free that my head is spinning!

Inbetweason Springter

You know that season between winter and spring that should have a whole name for itself?  That time of year when the snow is still on the ground, and melting but the first flowers of the season and dewy green grass are popping their heads up all around.  You never know what quite to wear… If you should dress for warm weather or cool, so you do a bit of both and hope for the best.   I’m in Canada.. and I am still in the icy deepfreeze, but I know this inbetweason is right around the corner for me!  How about… <drumrollllllll>  ”springter”?

Feeling the Love on Valentine’s Day

I’m in love! Yeah, I know, who doesn’t love a man in a tuxedo, right? Lucky for Gavin, I found this snazzy mesh tux at Sin Original as part of the Love Love Hunt. Even the shoes are included – not bad for only 1L! He’s also wearing the new Goldy Teal gift eyes from Amacci – no group join is needed.

My dress is a free Valentine’s Day gift from Snowpaws; there is also a petite version available, so ladies of all sizes can look dazzling today. Oh, and I got our dancing pose at the Valentine’s Sale at Glitterati Poses; all couples and friends poses are on sale until 21 February.

Gavin is a great guy, but I’m so in love with these SHOES! I joined the [Gos] Boutique group for free back when it first opened up, and I’m so glad I did; these special edition Grace Sandals Red Glitter are a brand-new gift for group members. The join fee is 500L now, but… the Grace Sandals regularly cost more than the join fee, so pick up this gift and you’ve got your $L back. Part of what makes these shoes so amazing is the skin matching. To say that it’s easy – and it works! – would be an understatement. Seriously, a couple of clicks and you’re done. The French Touch @ SAKIDE!

Making It Count

Usually I am excited for Friday, but this time… I’m dreading it, because it’s back to work for me on Monday! ICK. I decided the best way to spend my last normal work day of Christmas vacation off  was to do a little shopping and then head to the Pixel Bean for something decadently sinful… maybe a Mochaccino and a cupcake!  The pounds don’t pack on here in SL unless we want them to, so what the heck!

My first shopping stop was to Sweet Leonard where I found three (new to me) group gifts as well as several previous gifts that are available to you after you join the group for 70L.  I picked up the My Winter Legwarmer Boots, VIP Gift Winter Bag & The Just Love Me Sheep.  I thought  the sheep would be a good snuggle, but he makes a great body guard too.  The Winter Bag is stuffed with all kinds of winter goodies you’ll need to keep you warm.
My next shopping stop was at Auxiliary where Tyr has just set out a new group gift for their VIPS!  The latest group gift is the mesh Printed Sweatshirt shown in the photos that conveniently matched perfectly to the Sweet Leo items I had picked up earlier!  I love it when things all come together  It comes in several sizes with co-ordinating alpha.  This group is 1100L to join.  Yes, it’s a steep fee… don’t shoot the messenger – I think it’s worth it if you plan to stay in the group because she quite often puts out new gifts.  I have picked up probably triple that amount, value wise in gifts since joining last year.  Joining this group also gives you access to VIP discounts.

Hmm… Now that I am done my work here, I think I’ll go follow the same suit in RL!  Unfortunately this will cost me money and cut WAY into my calorie count for the day.  Worth it?  YES!  It’s the last day – gotta make it count!

What’s Next: Blossoming Into 2013?

Confession: I hate odd-numbered years. I know, I know; odd-numbered years are no different than even-numbered years, but hey, everyone’s got their “thing,” right? This just happens to be mine. Add to that the fact that next year has a 13 in it, and I can’t help but worry that we’re in for a bumpy ride! Thank goodness I’ve got Nessie – who’s not afraid of ANYTHING, by the way – to help ease my irrational, numerical fears!

Today I’m wrapping my fears in my fave color purple with this lovely, mesh, berry wrap dress and shoes by [Blossom], which are their December gifts for the Womenstuff Hunt.
