Falling Into Shiki

Dark sky, November leaves, with a chilly breeze, it might be time to snuggle up to something warm. Lucky for me, the dashing Mr. Foxdale was there to keep me warm when we ventured out into the cool weather to show off these Men and Women group gifts from Shiki.

To say the least I was rather happy that our first outfits, the October group gifts, came with such a nice coat for Mr. Foxdale. The coats helped block some of the chill, and I am sure Cal would have given me the coat if I wasn’t so stubborn. Oh the things we women do for fashion! But come on, look at the dress! Does it not yell,Fall Styling Diva!

When it was time to change outfits, I think I knocked Cal of his feet with Shiki September gift. That statement is more literal than figurative, in many more ways than one. Being the captain clumsy person I am, I accidentally removed the platform causing Cal and I to plumet to the ground. So even though we were having a near death experience, I must admit we were looking damn good as we were falling. If I could have snapped a picture, instead of scrambling to fly, it probably would have been a really nice picture. In my opinion the dress is a nice tribute to fall flowers and it compliments Cal striped cardigan. These looks definitely revamp the classical idea of cheesy matching couple outfits, and makes it fashionable. But, coupled or not, I would still head out in either of these dresses alone.

 

Now just because I only highlighted two set of outfits, does not mean their isn’t more at the store. If your coupled up, you can make it a date night. OH and its free to join the group!

Pumpkin Hunt @ Necrosis Noctis

I just spent the morning doing the simwide Pumpkin Hunt at Necrosis Noctis. You have to go around the sim looking both outside and inside the stores to find glowing pumpkins. Now, it isnt a free hunt – each pumpkin will cost you 10L to buy. It isnt often I will blog about a hunt where you have to pay for the prizes, but these are of such amazing quality that really you are having an unbelievable bargain.

Here is a preview of some of the hunt gifts. Im going to tell you which prize came from which store, but not where the pumpkin is hidden.

 

The Black Canary is one of the stores participating in the hunt and they are certainly one of my favourite Gothic Lolita/Visual Kei stores in SL. The items they have so generously created for the hunt are 2 outfits and a set of pretty eyes. The outfits could be worn by either male of female.

This cute little bat set with ears and wings are one of the hunt prizes from Weezles

 

 

The hats either side of the witches hat are the prizes from Kaishi Vasser. The hat in the middle and the hair worn are the prizes from House of Munster. The hair is texture changable and comes with a tonne of shades!

Also worn in the picture is the Harelquin Collar which is one of the hunt prizes from Freaky Deaky.

 

 

The Black hair is the prize from the Amphion Store. The red hair shown here again is the prize from House of Munster. The Tattoo is the other prize from Freaky Deaky

 

 

This is the “Witchy Umbrella” which is one of the prizes from Fuct The other prize shown beneath is the “Trick or Treat Umbrella”

 

 

These cute little pumps are the prize from Rigormortis

 

 

And these are the prize from Heart and Sole. The feet are colour changing so you can match them to your skin.

Outside amerie`s Naughty`s store at Isle of Tranquility you will find a booth with 2 dollarbies. A pretty necklace (not shown), and the nice “Halloween Ornament” (garland,  shown here).

Big thank you to Jungeun Vella, designer and owner of JE*Republic, for dropping me her adorable “Halloween Costume Full Set”.  It`s sweetness in completeness! Well, I have to mention it´s not a freebie but a bargain/lowbie/cheapie. For 10 Linden you get pants and top on 2 layers, skirt, hat, boots, bows, a pumpkin, an animated glowstick and a glowstick without animation. It´s worth to spend 10 Linden, in my opinion! Inside Little Heaven`s store you will find 4 Lucky Chairs giving away wonderful hair as well as 2 item camp chairs. Hmmm …  item camp chairs are … uhm … like an electric chair. You have to sit down for 20 min -  a hood dryer above your head -  to receive “Special hair Phine milk tea” I´m wearing in the pics. But first be patient until all is rezzed, open your eyes and TRY to find the freebie. Next words I heard from  said lady was “I´m sure they have hidden the freebie because they want us to look at their other stuff and buy something”. Aaargh! Oooouch! Omg! How mean designers are … they want us to look at their non free stuff! ))) I really, really hope from the bottom of my heart that it hurts a lot to be lazy AND stupid AND without any good manners  … however, finally the lady found the freebie. Standing in front of the designer, she clicked the box …. and went away without a word. No thank you, nothing, nada, nix. I clicked the freebie box, too … and I said hello to the designer, a few nice words about the place/stuff and thank you, of course. The lady TPed away. I know her name. And I will keep an eye on her. I´m not mean, I don´t want drama … but next time I see her, I´ll kick her *coughs* off )

How to be lucky when SH*T HAPPENS

I`ve grabbed one of the freebie boxes (Freebie Clothing) with tons of awesome stuff into it. It´s too much to show it all, sorry. AUDACIOUS – Dare To Be Different! Opening Gifts and Treasures!

AUDACIOUS opened yesterday – but don´t be afraid the opening gifts are still there for about a week. So catch the next TP over to Bade Audacious` store, take a look around and don´t forget to touch the subsribe-o-matic inside the store.

The freebie bags are sitting on a long table (if anyone cannot find the bags there are 2 reasons: not yet rezzed or you need glasses). Well, however *grin* – I was amazed at the generous gifts and much more amazed at the great outfits. Funny, lovely, cute dresses in bright colors! My favorites are the pants, of course. I love the Capri Set (capris and bikini) and Ella Rose (cuffed pants and flexi skirt), the Retro Outfit and Fall Brown Dress as well as Lovely Pink (BabyDoll and flexi skirt), Bubble Gum Pink and Any Day Dress (comes in pink and purple). Wooh!

After I wrote about Claire Harfords Symphony Skins Shop , I came to talk (IM) with her inworld. Claire is a very friendly, helpful woman who does a lot of hard work. And great work, not only designing skins also clothes! And there is a really nice place she told me about: ONE at Hot Silly Peppers Labs, Afton. You will find a bunch of freebies and 1 Linden-items at ONE 1 L & Freebie Shop, all original designs und accessoires (cute Hug Teddies). Worth to check it out. Claire is thinking her earlier designed clothes aren´t good (aaaww!) but look what I have done:

I bought 3 outfits, each 1 Linden, and mixed them like crazy *g*

Eighties Classic comes with skirt, top, flexi skirt, legwarmers, armwarmers and necklace. Retro in Rose includes pants and a nice textured top. In Claire`s Closet Bargain Box I found a black leather skirt and and purple vamp corset.

Bewitched Hair and Al Design Black Ballet Flats complete my outfit.

A bit crazy, I know, but sometimes I love to be unusual

Well, but I have something important to say about the skin I´m wearing!

While I´m exploring ONE I met another wonderful woman – Kryptonia Paperdoll, the designer and owner of Splashing Doll Skins. She told me that a skin named Mailin is a freebie for a limited time of about 2 weeks. You will find the skin into Splashing Doll store (step in, it´s right in front of you) and I´m sure you will like it, looks amazing.

I also would like to mention the great Photo Sphere by Claire Harford. I have done all photos with it and it was a lot of fun. Maybe next time I will change the background to something wild and crazy patterned or turn off all spots
