Caution… Step Away From the Turtles

I was wandering around that beach that Love dragged me to for a photo op… and I came across an interesting sign…

Wasn’t sure what to make of that… as I drifted off to sleep dressed comfortably in the great shirt/shorts combo that is still available as the March gift at GizzA!  The group is free to join and they have some really great gifts for both guys and gals. I was awakened by some talk about saving the turtles at the beach.  By the time I had shaken the wool out of my head I had been deputized as a Turtle Protector o.O   Didn’t get a cool badge or anything, but I did chase off a guy bent on making turtle soup out of the poor denizens on the beach.  You don’t have to be a Turtle Protector to grab the great March gift at GizzA. A Bright Ydea

So there I was.. wandering around aimlessly through shops trying to recover from a day at the beach with Miss Tw… Love, when this Ydea went off in my head… mostly because I was standing in front of the guys May gift for Ydea group members. So I slowed my breathing down and wiped the sweat from my eyes so I could read the sign. It turned out to be a great outfit, featuring shirt, windbreaker, jeans, and sneakers!  The only thing missing is a .. well nothing is missing other than a place to romp around so I found one myself. The outfit is called “StreetBoy,” so naturally I went off-road at the beautiful  HumaNoiD sim to snap a pic of the outfit.  Get on over to Ydea and pick up this great outfit that is FREE for members. Falling Into Shiki

Dark sky, November leaves, with a chilly breeze, it might be time to snuggle up to something warm. Lucky for me, the dashing Mr. Foxdale was there to keep me warm when we ventured out into the cool weather to show off these Men and Women group gifts from Shiki.

To say the least I was rather happy that our first outfits, the October group gifts, came with such a nice coat for Mr. Foxdale. The coats helped block some of the chill, and I am sure Cal would have given me the coat if I wasn’t so stubborn. Oh the things we women do for fashion! But come on, look at the dress! Does it not yell,Fall Styling Diva!

When it was time to change outfits, I think I knocked Cal of his feet with Shiki September gift. That statement is more literal than figurative, in many more ways than one. Being the captain clumsy person I am, I accidentally removed the platform causing Cal and I to plumet to the ground. So even though we were having a near death experience, I must admit we were looking damn good as we were falling. If I could have snapped a picture, instead of scrambling to fly, it probably would have been a really nice picture. In my opinion the dress is a nice tribute to fall flowers and it compliments Cal striped cardigan. These looks definitely revamp the classical idea of cheesy matching couple outfits, and makes it fashionable. But, coupled or not, I would still head out in either of these dresses alone.

 

Now just because I only highlighted two set of outfits, does not mean their isn’t more at the store. If your coupled up, you can make it a date night. OH and its free to join the group!

Real (and Virtual) Men Wear Pink

In my real life profession, I deal with bullies on a frequent basis. Unfortunately, it seems when I log onto Second Life I see bullying as well. In the short time I have been writing for FabFree, I know there have been several harsh and hurtful things said about some of my fellow bloggers appearance, and before I had ever posted my first blog, questions of my sexuality had come into question. This is typical of bullies. They like to slander, torment, harass, and ridicule.

I’m not saying that people are not entitled to their own opinion. But when you post things that are in poor taste anywhere on the internet with the intention to hurt someone or their reputation, it is bullying.

 Bullying also takes the form of instilling fear into others. I’ve seen bullies in SL threaten to make trouble in people’s real lives. I’ve also witnessed people feeling threatened or spied upon by bullies. Bullies have no other way of persuasion except for intimidation.

 But what everyone has to remember is, a bully only has power over you if you let them. Show your pink today and let the bullies see they are outnumbered.

I’ve been trying to win this skin for a week to show you and my letter finally came up last night.
