Splashes Of Colour

Whew! It has been a busy and exciting week here at FabFree with the addition of three new bloggers (Goldie, Perse & Care… AND there are still a couple more to come!) and a guest post by Kyle Beckett! Before I start my “blah blah blah” about my outfit, I’d like to say again how wonderful it is to be adding new writers into the mix. I am looking forward to seeing a wider variety of fashion styles, and stores being shown here. I also wanted to thank Kyle Beckett for the awesome guest post he did, covering many of the men’s swag bag gifts at the. event HOLLYWOOD (which is ending in just 3 days btw!)

Now, onto the “blah blah blah”…

Today I am wearing Mirror Enigma’s latest group gift for April which is the mesh Superbia Dress in white and black. This group is a little different than most. The group is free to join, however to receive an invite to the group, you must make a purchase in the store. I have added to the Superbia Dress a splash of colour with the Cowhide Totes that are part of Ricielli’s Easter Hunt (15L for both).

Minty Inspiratons

I often receive IM’s from readers saying that I had inspired their outfits, and this totally goes both ways because there have been several times that I am inspired by YOU! Like today, for example. FabFree reader Daisy Bridger sent me an IM asking for some fashion advice, and it inspired my look for today!

I went digging through my ever growing and over flowing inventory trying to find a pair of mint green skinny jeans, and for some reason I didn’t have any! :O No worries… I let my fingers do the walking and headed to the Marketplace where Madhouse hooked me up! I found a pair of mesh Minty Mine Jeans priced at just 99L.

I personally love a crisp white with mint green and remembered that C’est La Vie had just placed out a lucky board prize with their newly released Pocket Tanks in Thermal White. I headed down there and was lucky enough for letter L to come up after 20 minutes or so. You will need to join the group, however it’s free.

I grabbed my Twinkie Bag that I have been hanging onto since my trip to Beginner’s Luck (where I picked it up for free) and headed off for a nice stroll on this fine spring day

Window Shopping

I was out and about today doing a little window shopping, because today is the first of the month when so many of the fashion galleries and showcases and new group gifts are set out! I stopped in at The Designer’s Showcase and found that they have a whole new round of designs on sale to snag, and three brand new group gifts to pick up. One of them is the mesh LIV Glam K-Collection Penny Sweater Dress I am wearing. The Designers Showcase inworld group is free to join.

The skin I am in today is a Structure Your Skin Project find made by Mirror’s Enigma. The gorgeous Victoria skin is available in a peach skintone with two makeup variations, cleavage option, a pair of eyes, Lola & Lush Appliers and a shape (eyes, appliers and shape not shown today) for just 99L! LIVing Glam & Hunting For Earrings!

Oh thank goodness this week is nearly over! It’s been a crazy busy one for me, and it’s driving me crazy that there are so many gorgeous gifts and hunts and events out there, and just not enough time to share them all! I’ll attempt to catch up a little tonight…

At LIV Glam there are over 125 group gifts to pick up, and the beautiful mesh colour-blocked dress I am wearing is just the latest of the bunch! It comes to you via their new fancy dancey HUD system that allows you to wear the hud, and choose your dress size. Then it sends you the dress and allows you to change the colour with the hud! So.. really, it’s several dresses in one with all of the colours to choose from! The thing I like best about the hud system that they use, is that I can keep just the hud in my inventory instead of all of the sizes and colours, making it appear that I am not a SL fashion hoarder when in fact, they are all just clever folded and tucked away inside the hud! I chose to wear the green and black to match with my new IKON Ardent Sage Eyes that are available at The Boutique. The LIV Glam group is 500L to join, but as I mentioned… there are a ton of fabulous gifts making that fee seem like nothin!

The black tote bag I have added is not a free gift, however it can be found at the Duh! Mainstore for just 20L in a few different colours.

The sweet skin I am in today is a new release from Mirror’s Enigma called Croix. She does have some lovely lips doesn’t she?

The Silver Flores Earrings I am wearing with my outfit today will be hidden at the Pure Poison Mainstore on April 3rd (10L Easter Hunt). In fact, they will have a pair hidden each day, starting today and ending on April 3.

Someone super important a really long time ago said “Let them eat cake”, and while we can’t really eat cake here in SL, we can wear it! This month in fact, you can wear it for free if you join the free inworld VIP group. A Naughty Helper With A Sweet Tooth

I am still wading my way through my With Love Hunt prizes folder and came across a really adorable meshWool Cat Sweater from Mijn, which is only one of the two With Love Hunt Prizes you can pick up there. The other prize is the same sweater in a different print. Renee showed these comfy Patchy Cotton Leggings previously in a Paradisis Post, but it went so well with this sweater I needed to show them too. They are the With Love Hunt prize from Gawk! I have shown many of the WLH prizes, but just in case you need a reminder, the cost for each prize is 10L and the hunt icon you are searching for is a black gift box with red ribbon.

Love these mesh boots? MEEEE TOOOO and in fact I picked them up in three colours (red, tan & black) because.. they are only 70L at The Dressing Room!! These are Slink’s Vanity Boots and they are beautifully textured with a wedge heel and a side zipper. The handbag I am holding, is not just any handbag. You can find the I Want Candy Mesh Bag at Ruca Tease for 175L and while it is a great looking bag, it also gives out candy! You can click on it, or others can click on it, and it gives out sweet treats

It’s not very often I stray from my light shades of hair, but there was no question when I put on Mirror Enigma’s Socordia V2 skin featured at Structure Your Skin Project this month, and realized it was well worth the temporary change of my normal blonde thing I have going on. A really gorgeous skin for just 99L. It comes with a few shapes, french nail gloves, hair base and cleavage options as well as a couple pairs of eyes. SPLASHing Into Winter!

If there is one job I have been avoiding all month, it is the depressing job of taking all of my sparkly summer sandals, open toed shoes and light jackets out of the entry way closet and replacing them with the winter coats, and boots, and other constricting warm things. The snow falls when it wants here in Canada, which is early, often and a lot (lol), so today I am forcing myself to be prepared! It was just perfect timing when I logged on this morning because I had notecards from two very helpful readers to let me know that SPLASH has a fantastic four pack of mesh Pimp Coats in red, green, white and black set out as a free gift. It does state that it is a group gift, however I did not need to join the group to pick it up. You may as well join the group – that way you’ll have a heads up on the next gift! Looks like Love will be all geared up for winter… that makes one of us, because I am here blogging instead of cleaning out that closet!! Tee hee.

Witch’s Milk

Only a few days left to get ready for Halloween and I am doing my best to pack in all the Halloween themed stuff I can before it’s over for another year.

This very cool witches hat and pumpkin lip piercing set can be found as a group gift at Acid Lily (free to join), and the PAVOUK necklace at the Kosh Mainstore, sold for just 1L for a limited time.

If you’d like to pick up the black lace lined body suit, you can find it at Milk for 5L after you have located The Autumn Hunt icon (cornacopia). It includes the full body suit with garters, but no stockings. I found the stockings that came with my N-Core shoes work great! I am itching to put this bodysuit with a long black boho skirt! It’s a must have staple for this time of year!

The Hunger Pose I have used for this post was recently sent out as a free Halloween gift to Nani subscribers.

Mirrors Enigma is the maker of this gorgeous skin. It’s called Sofia in Dusk Skintone and it is not free, but I thought I’d mention just in case you are interested, that you can find it featured at Midnight Nightmares in a full pack for 600L with eyes, and shapes and all sorts of goodies!

Mirrors Enigma @ The Boho Culture Fair

The Boho Culture Fair opened up on the 15th of October, and will run for just two weeks until the end of the month. At this fair you will find a delicious spread of boho themed urban casual fashions such as accessories, hair, skins, clothing, poses, and so much more. Not only are the designers participating featuring exclusive designs at great prices, but most of them have gifts or dollarbies out too – like one of my faves in Second Life, Mirrors Enigma!

Mirror’s Enigma is featuring their mesh Bohemian Dress in a few different colours (175L) that includes the dress and the shredded pants, and co-ordinating mesh Cowboy Boots (195L). They are also offering their newly released Sally Skin packs (600L), and as a special gift for visitors of the fair, they have the matching Sally Lipstick Tattoos out for just 1L!

The Shadow Lord Choker and mesh Leather Bracelet I have added to this outfit are both unisex and are free group gifts at RONSEM*. This group is free to join, and there are a ton of great urban gifts set out for both men and women. (not at the fair – this is at their mainstore)

Below you can see close-ups of the Sally Skin in the Ivory Skin Tone. It is available in a few different tones, but this one I think suited me best today. The packs are HUGE, and include five different make ups with teeth options and cleavage options for all of them as well as three shapes, two pairs of eyes and even a pair of mesh eyelashes.

The dollarbie which can be found in their shop at TBCF for just 1L includes 7 different colours of the Sally lips…
… As well as the lips with a teeth option! How’s that for a deal?!? I tried these lipstick tattoos on with other skins too, and they worked well on them too.
