PERTURB/ation have moved locations and to celebrate their reopening they have put out a new group gift of this stunning necklace. You will need to join the new Pluto group.. you can join through my profile.
Imabee have finally opened their store! I have been seeing previews of Brendon Papp’s skins all over the feeds and I have been dying to get my paws on them as they looked so cute. There is an opening gift skin called “I cried all night” and you will need to join the group to get it, then touch the poster on the wall.
This is the Group Gift.. you get two skin tones, the pale shown here and a darker coffee shade. You also get choice of cleavage/no cleavage and freckles.
And also there is 50% of all skins to celebrate! All skins are at 350L. Of course me being a skin addict, I had to indulge so I bought a couple to show you a more subtle make up. This one below is called “Lucy in the Morning”
I adore the flushed cheeks on the skin.. its so so sexy and cute! The other skin I bought is called “Lucy goes out Tonight” and it is worn in the other pictures below. The antlers I am wearing are special 60L Valentines Edition Fa(u)ntasy antlers from Sweet Leonard and are part of the Super Bargain Saturday. The Ears are Dollarbies from Buried.
POSH! have moved into their new mainstore at Liberty City and are taking part in a simwide 50L weekend event, which will happen every weekend from now on. This week there is a special Valentines set for 50L..
You get a yummy pink, a sultry red and a lickable vanilla blonde colour. I must say, I love the pink .. the little heartshaped hair accessory is just so cute.
Lamb still have their 50L friday hair out at the time of me writing this, which is well worth taking a peek at. I am wearing the Powder “Oh Sugar” 50L Friday style in the dress pictures below. They also have a Valentines hair pack out of one style called Baby’s on Fire in Red and Pink for 100L
If you are still looking for some gowns for one of the many Valentines Day balls going on around SL, then take a look at these.. First off, Dressing Aphrodite are taking part in the 60L weekend and have put out two gowns for their contribution. One in a vibrant red and the other is more demure in white.
The Red gown is called Serendipity and comes with several skirt options including a pencil skirt option. This is 60L
The White gown is called Serenity and comes with several options for the top and for the skirt, including a huge poofy bridal skirt. Again this is 60L
If you prefer a darker shade, then run over to Trubble to find this free Starstruck gown.
There is also this Candy pink set as a Dollarbie on the other side of the steps.
N-Core have a selection of free shoes as group gifts at their store. Simply join the group, then click the boxes to get the goodies.. This set of boots is one of the gifts you will find there.
They are hugely customisable via menu, which allows you to change their size, colour of both the boot and the legwarmer. There is even the option of removing the legwarmer if you wanted to. Sorry the picture turned out a bit dark.
This cute pose is part of the Valentines Dollarbie from Doll and come complete with the flowers shown.. perfect to take some adorable pictures for your S/O.
There is also another pose included in the pack, with another set of flowers for you to stand with.
And lastly.. The sad news of Alexander McQueens death rocked the fashion world a few days ago in both RL and even in SL. When I heard the news, it was quite a shock. I havent always been very involved in high fashion, but some times a designer would catch my eye from an artistic point of view being that I am an artist first and foremost in RL. Lee was one of these designers. His fashion shows were always a feast for the eyes and he had this delicious rebellious streak through him that just appealled to me. His designs always seemed to speak to me, in particular his Fall 2006 “Widows of Culloden” collection.. so hauntingly beautiful and tragically romantic. The image of a ghostly Kate Moss projected into a glass pyramid is such a striking one that it will stay in my memory forever. One piece in particular, which is one of my most favourite designs.. and most likely where my obsession with antlers came from, is this one below…
There is so much to say about this man and his talent and vision. As an artist he will be missed as much as the fashion world will miss him. My thoughts are with his loved ones and friends.
Lee Alexander McQueen – 1969 – 2010
There is currently an Alexander McQueen tribute being organised by Avenue Models to take place on 28th February which many designers in SL are signing up to be a part of. These creations will be sold afterwards with 100% of the proceeds going towards charities that he was a patron of. This is probably the wrong place to write about it as it isnt free by a long shot, but I will add more details when I know more. With nearly 12000 people in the group, I am sure it is of interest to some if only on a purely creative level if nothing else… and that is what we are celebrating.. without creativity, we wouldnt be doing what we do.
