Fashion For Life 2011

As promised here are some items from the Fashion For Life Event that is going on right now to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. It starts at 12 noon SLT, today 12th March. Don’t forget to wear your low ARC outfits and wear a hairbase tattoo or skin instead of your hair to really make a huge difference. Prim and sculpted hair can raise your ARC very high!

Wear Grey 2010

Wear Grey For a Day 2010 is a charity event raising awareness about brain tumours and cancers with lots of designers coming together to raise funds for the American Brain Tumour Association to go towards research and helping sufferers. It runs from 12th September – 25th September. There really is so much to see and two floors of merchants so be sure to check upstairs aswell. There are also donation jars around the event so you can donate if you choose to.

Among the special items on sale from each merchant, there is also a mini hunt where you are looking for a grey ribbon. Each ribbon costs 20L to find and contains a special item. There are also dollarbies and freebies from some merchants. Below is by no means a definitive list of hunt prizes and freebies so be sure to take a good look around!

Marinco Fashion have three beautiful wedding gowns for you gorgeous brides to be on a budget. Found in their freebies section on the second floor of the store, you can find it in traditional white, gothic black or barbie pink.

I chose to show you the white and the black gowns. The necklaces and earrings shown in the pictures are from Alienbear and are priced at 10L from their freebies/10L section just the left inside the main entrance.

They also have some beautiful dresses at extremely reasonably prices, for example these two gowns for 120L and what I love is that they do both white and black, so if you want a gorgeous gown for a Gothic Wedding, this is definatley the place to take a look.

Their newer gowns start at 500L, which for the beautiful work involved is an absolute steal!

Rebel Hope has some beautiful gowns available in their 50L section too including some dresses that would work well for your bridesmaids..

The Cotton Blossom gown comes in a wide range of colours for 50L The veil is seperate and cost 25L

In the Treasure Box!

My favorite past time lately is raiding the treasure box at Kouse’s Sanctum. The treasure box is jam packed full of wonderful gifts and you can try your luck every minute! So far I’ve won tons of jewelry, a few free dress vouchers, and all the hearts which means I am eligible for a L$500 gift card! Oh and one very cool thing about the treasure box is everything is transferable! So, if your short on cash you can always win some prizes for your significant other! I’ve only redeemed one of the vouchers so far and decided on the beautiful Skye gown shown above. This was an extremely hard decision since there are sooo many beautiful gowns!

I also went to Glitterati to find the hidden L$5 gown. The dress is mixed in with regular price merchandise so you have to look!

The pictures using Glitterati poses and the Pose Anywhere hud from Essential Soul. Normally I would just play the animations in world, but this hud is so great I wanted to show it. After loading the hud with the poses you can choose to pose yourself and/or others who are near. Of course be sure to get approval before contorting a stranger in animation. I didn’t have anyone to pose, but strangers, so I’ll save that option to show later! This is a great tool for photographers, bloggers, or just people who enjoy taking pictures.
